Number 5, at 2:08, bugged me in the original collection, and still _bugs_ me here. Most police departments run silent at night, when responding to a call. Particularly in a case like this where the street is four lanes wide, and there are no cars. The cammer has _no_ idea what made the cop do that, e.g. fire, traffic accident, home invasion.

2:13, I’ve seen cops do that quite a few times. The best was an unmarked suv, the light turns yellow, they’re about 30 feet from the intersection, and turn the lights on. As soon as they get through the intersection they turned the lights off. I was turning right onto the same road, and ended up right behind them. Turns out we were going to the same place…McDonald’s. It was around 10:00 pm.
Part of me wished I had saved that clip to my computer 6 years ago. It’s illegal for emergency services to run their lights and sirens when it’s not an emergency.

Cops don’t always use their lights when responding such as to domestic violence calls. (See pizza order calls) but while responding they may use their lights and sirens during certain situations such as during traffic or crossing intersections for safety. There’s no law saying a cop must always have lights and sirens the whole way responding to a call. As long as they do not pose a serious risk to motorist, which in the middle of night with no traffic is not really a risk

My closest call was the cop was under a yard from my bumper as he ran a stop sign, no lights and no siren.
