Pretty cool little truck,am a big fan of toyota and am actually looking to get a 1978 hilux to transform cosmetically and keep it.Good job man and greetings from 🇨🇦
You need the Holley 45m.m. sidedraft carburators badly. L.C. ENGINEERING in Lake Havasue, ARIZONA sells a tool for twin carburators for fuel and air mixture. I suggest you buy one. You make me miss my 1988 Toyota HI/LUX pick up truck so bad. I wish I still had it. I miss it. My 22R engine had the Offenhoser air intake with a Holley 500 2 barrel carburator. It kicked ass! Oh, you want to fix your fuel problem, you need a Holley 7 p.s.i. electric fuel pump with a 4 p.s.i. regulator. If it doesn't work, just take off the 4 p.s.i. regulator.
As someone who taught himself carbs on inline 4cyl Japanese morcycles I can feel your pain. I sometimes ripped/ re-intalled a bank of 4 carbs over 100 times on a bike until getting it "dialed". Best advice i can give is to put those ceracoated beautys on the shelf in the living room and fit a proper cfm 2 or 4 barrel with a different intake on that engine. no matter the carbs/ tune It will NEVER run better than on a single properly sized/ tunned carb, especially on the street (sad truth). ("Clifford" and "Offenhauser" make retrofit 4 barrel intakes for GM/ Ford inline 6cyl, maybe a place to start?!). Shoot with your tools/ skills you can prob even fab your own intake! . Good luck on your quest!!!!!!
Chokes are a pain. They rarely work well. I know this is awful, but I used to carry a can of starting fluid on an older Weber equipped car. Let it sit for 5 minutes to warm up. In a garaged car, it's not a huge deal.
I've used Raptor bedliner to paint things like my Rear-view Mirrors on each side my light bar, some of my bumper pieces. I'm also going to paint the roof of my "coma" with a tintable version of Raptor bed liner. I live in Houston, Texas and the roof of the truck has lost all of it's topcoat, and it looks horrible. I'm using the Raptor bedliner, as a heavy-duty method of preventing this from happening again. It should outlast the truck. Years from now, when I'm dead and gone, they will find just the top of the cab, and the bed liner will still look new.

Beatiful project❤
Neat setup for the carbs, I cannot deny that my 32/36 is the best thing I've done to mine vs stock aisin
I have an 84 2wd and an 83 4wd but those late 70's hit different.
Great fabrication skills! But damn could that thing benefit from some sound deadening. From interior it sounds like you're sitting in the engine room😊
I've had my Pittsburgh wrench for over a decade and still going strong.

There is no way those 2 outer cylinders are getting the same amount of fuel as the 2 inner ones on the one carb setup
Loved seeing the hilux series of videos ❤
Fingers crossed that the machine shop got it right the first time, this time.
Good work, although it’s definitely not my style. I really don’t like the patina paint jobs but awesome build never the less
Great EP 😎 that truck is 🔥
Sweet ride bruh.
chasseing a lean mixture with backfire on deceleration sounds like a vacuum leak
Transferring the cardboard template onto the laptop screen killed me laughing I’ve never seen that before I love it 1/1
Glad that's over

Small hammer ??.... Fclamp!!! Truck is so sick, glad to see you got it running smooth!
What a great work
Now that you’re done, just drop it off at my house.😎😎😊
Did u ever check the gap in ur spark plugs
Now paint it glow in the dark white
There is no problem with Toyota. First, you have to drive 1000 miles, then check the spark plugs and valves, then adjust the carburetor
Awesome
Where did u get your red seat belts ?
Line LOCK on rear brake line!
I would add a pro charger if it were my truck...... just for a good measure.
So now you can sell it?????
Was that a boogie or hair in the right nostril? Couldn’t stop looking at it!
I have one of these cars. I want to restore it. Please help me
Is it really ever Done ?????

If I’m not mistaken Austin did an entire yota pickup with the green raptor liner. It was pretty dope.
I like your channel, but I wasn’t too interested in this build. I like Toyota but 4x4’s
