- When your van is your home it is so very different than when your just taking a holiday or doing the whole of the state or country you live in, whether that be for a couple of months or even a couple of years.
The van is my home until l can no longer physically live this way and in saying that, there are many things that one has to consider. Financially and emotionally.
I explain some of this in the video.
Please leave a comment as to how you would consider life in a van, being your home and what your thoughts are.
I’ve lived in my rv for 4 years and until I feel comfortable I’m just going to be still and stay put, lol!!
At the moment l have pretty much be exactly that myself, been here for over six months but prior another 9 months. lol
@@AVanADogAndMyself Just let yourself heal and get your nerves and emotions regulated! Trust me, you are growing where you are my friend ❤️
Great video Gaye. Interesting to hear the realities of van life long term. Nice to see the changes and personalisations you have made to it too 😊

@@AVanADogAndMyselfIt’s not that easy to go Minimal. You will get through this. You have very Beautiful Hair!❤
Few ideas for more videos.... Like.... How do you have a mailing address in a van? Do you get a retirement check? How do you store your groceries in the van? What does Griffin eat & how old is he? Ty.
I might do a QnA video for you Joyce and answer some questions people might be thinking. 🤔 🙏🩷🩷

Other than loneliness/anxiety, everything is fine if things go well, but if you have a car wreck, your vehicle breaks down, you become ill or incapacitated, or any other calamity, you are on your own with no one to turn to, no community support, nowhere to go. That is how people become _really_ homeless.
That's absolutely true, but some people have no other choice but to live in a van, if they can afford one. It's that or the street. Sometimes you have no choice but to live with the risks.
@@raggedblossom508 in today's world it seems most advantageous to swim to RioGrande south, cross back, identify as illegal for free American living.
That is very true and certainly a fear one has. If l let that fear take over l would be in a different position right now. I hope the fears don’t come true .
@@AVanADogAndMyself We have a good system in Australia where there will always be a support team to rely on. Anything can happen to anyone as life is uncertain, so living in the moment is wise and there will always be abundance.
@@24JJ821 true, RACQ if l breakdown on the road at least
Hi, true about the house sitting .. a couple weeks in and I'm thinking why the hell did u say yes to 8 weeks 😮
Good friends of mine, l didn’t mind and gave me time to get a few things done to the van. I did enjoy getting back into the van though come the time. 💜
How do you wash your hair in the van? Washcloth and soap?
I have a little shower accessory that I can use via a bucket, it is a battery operated pump and l use shampoo.
What year is your van? Did you buy it used? Ty.
It is a 2005 and yes the person had it 3 years before me. 🩷
I can hardly hear you
I’m sorry I will remember to take notice but l have bought a wireless microphone now. Thanks for letting me know 🙏
