I just want to say that "Feel" fits this game so well. That song is so good
The soundtrack was incredible!
Yes! All of the tracks were
This was the biggest surprise of the year, for me. Never did I think I would’ve loved this game as much as I did. Great music, gameplay and story. This immersion is what I look for when playing a game! Well done review!
Thank you so much!! 💙 I’m so happy to see so many people loved this game, it’s great feedback to the developers to make more stories in this universe!
I'd love if they made more based on fairytales/adjacent that are in the public domain, Alice in Wonderland would be so cool as a Soulslike
Edit: just watched the post credit scene!
Wasn’t that an awesome stinger?! I cannot wait, there is so much potential for a fairytale universe in this setting.
Like the American Mcgee Alice series, but with estus flasks and bonfire?
@@HeribertoEstolanoThat would be my dream game
@nuh-uhbro765 well they are doing it with wizard of oz
I want a Winnie The Pooh soulslike game of this quality.
I just beat this game tonight, and all i have to say is i never expected myself to be so moved and invested by my characters growth and others characters i influenced, i went into the game knowing id like it but mainly just wanted to fight bosses, ive always been a combat person never really cared to hard to figure a story out but this one was just perfection. The soundtracks in the hud aswell... beautiful
I truly cannot wait for what is coming next!
I also love the reference to the anime Ergo proxy
Oh yeah nice!! I haven’t seen it but sounds just like the setting!
@@kitetales There’s multiple, the name of the healing item itself already is.
Love the vid - I hope you are looking forward to their next *D* game/DLC/story (avoiding spoilers)!! 🎉
YES!! I cannot WAIT. I lost it when I saw that scene! I am going to beg the developer to let me VA someone 🥰🙏
I love your voice - how awesome would that be!
I already replayed the game 6 times, 1 of them at NG+ but it's not the same as doing a new game personally found NG+ to be easier still
really prefer this game over Elden Ring, I get bored of ER on 3rd playthrough.. but yes I enjoyed ER at 1st playthrough a lot as well
9/10 game for me, I just wished the camera on some boss attack can be fixed and minor personal opinion on (Heavy atks having no Hyperarmor) but that's devs decision
Totally agree about the camera for boss fights; some of those I’d just get stuck because I’d get cornered and the camera wouldn’t adjust.
I also used that mod when I played! 😂 I enjoy feeling a sense of progression when playing a game, and I enjoy a challenge, but when I hit a brick wall, I get frustrated like you do. And, honestly, I don't play these types of games for the combat nor do I want to "git gud." I play them for the adventure, and to escape into another world for a few hours. I got the good ending and I was surprised at how moving it was. And the "stinger" at the end-I'm excited for their next game!
YES!! My kindred spirit! 😊 I am exactly the same way, thank you so much for saying this because it seems like such a minority opinion in the Souls gaming community. I enjoy the story, the characters, the journey, and I really don’t need to experience impossibly punishing boss fights to feel satisfaction. There is definitely a line and when I cross it, it quickly becomes “I’m not having fun anymore.”
Super excited for the next game and the upcoming DLC!
I think that's great and there should probably be an easy mode or accessibility options which would allow more people to enjoy the game! However, it is true that the whole game is built around overcoming challenging enemies and boss fights, so you do lose quite a lot by just skipping that. I encourage everyone to try it at least -- it can be frustrating, but very satisfying after you beat them :) (This is not the same as "git gud" -- please ignore these idiots)
@@kitetalesthe difficulty debate has always felt a bit gatekeepy for me. I mean sure the vision was a difficult game but also it’s kind of keeping players away. At least in other media particular works can be complex and difficult but anyone can finish a movie or book they just won’t get everything about the experience that someone who may be more versed in the particular work (Ulysses comes to mind)
I've been waiting for this! Maybe, you could also do a more lore centered video on Lies of P? (spoilers welcomed)
It's also cool that you brought up Bishock! I thought of it, too.
Absolutely! Can’t wait to put some lore videos together for this game!
@@kitetalesthe story of this game is what really got me even though the gameplay and world is so good
Your review gives me so much confidence to play. My aunt got the game for me because of how much I loved the premise of the story and gameplay, even though I don't do very well on games like Dark Souls and hearing it from the perspective of someone who doesn't fancy overly-difficult bosses either makes me happy to see someone play this and review it. I'm still going to try my hand at it because I do want to play since the characters, story and gameplay looks great 😤😤
I’m so glad to hear it! The story is SO good, I hope you do check it out and they have also had some recent patches that will make it more manageable 😊
Your analysis of this game was spot on (I was equally moved during the White Lady fight when "Fascination" played) and I share your appreciation of it! Vastly exceeded my expectations. Love this game.
Thank you so much! So glad to see love for the White Lady fight 😊
the booster glaive handle saw a _lot_ of use on my first playthrough. The distance-closing capabilities of its heavy attack was absolutely invaluable
I loved the feeling if satisfaction this game gave especially during the last chapter i was able to beat the final three major bosses on my first try I couldnt believe i was able to do that. Im sure i probably got lucky with the rng on those bosses but still it was so satisfying to be able to do that.
That’s awesome! The last boss was incredibly difficult for me, I had to completely respec and just put every throwable item I could fit on my quickbars. Loved the boss fights though they were so extremely memorable.
I loved this, only played the demo so far but had so much fun with that. And yes that aesthetic was so beautiful and macabre. I can’t wait to get into the whole game😁
Yes!! It is so good, you’ll love it!
Great video I've been hearing about this game. Looks interesting. The aesthetic gives me Bioshock vibes at times for some reason. Very relaxing and insightful video Kite.😊
Yes it has very much Bioshock vibes!! ❤️
Amazing video this is the first time I’m hearing about this game I will definitely have to check this out
It’s so good!! And it’s on Game Pass if you have that?
I’m a filthy PlayStation player so unfortunately no
I agree about the difficulty. I've beaten all the Souls games many times, but this one was much harder and without the summon(who is critical to the lore and has a whole set of mechanics behind it! so cool!) and the occasional bit of throwable abuse I never would have been able to do it.
The lore was much deeper and better thought out than I ever would have imagined when I first started playing. I find the mechanics of Ergo the most confusing - I understand its role as a macguffin but beyond what Sophia/Test Subject have explained about it, I'm left with a lot of questions(same with Coral in AC6).
I loved finding out about who the Spectre was!! Although I didn’t realize until the comments that people weren’t using it for every boss fight; here I was farming Star Fragments so I didn’t ever have to fight without him 😅 Oh and the throwable inventory saved me on more than one occasion.
@@kitetales I have too many summons and I have used them for every possible fight, I wish I could give you some of my luck!
Throwable items are quite overpowered in this game, they would have made the boss fights a lot easier without the need for any mods, especially the elemental ones (electric vs puppets, fire vs zombies, acid vs humans).
They scale with your stats and you can carry a ton of them with few P-organ upgrades..too bad so many people ignore them thinking they are useless.
Also Puppet String legion arm Link Attack (final upgrade) is quite ridiculously good, specially aganist tough elite enemies.
Final Puppet String unlock was my favorite! And totally agree about throwable items, they got me through a lot of boss fights in the end.
I love this game. It is one of my all time favorites now. I'm on my 4th play through and am still loving every minute of it.
100% yes! Definitely became one of my favorites and I can’t wait to see what DLC we’re getting!
Two things helped me through difficult bosses if you don't mind a little cheese. The spectors + throwable items(which are insanely powerful and rarely miss). For puppet bosses, three shot puts pretty much puts most of them into instant stagger, but if you load up your belt with everything else(cluster grenades, napalm, rotted corpse, etc), you can save yourself from cheap boss deaths if you've got no more health/heals left but they're almost dead.
I used the Specters for every fight I didn’t realize not everyone did that 😅
yay a new video!
Great video!!
Thank you so much! 💙
@@kitetales you have a blood borne review? How did you like that game?
Your lore videos, and, I guess now, reviews are always well written, organized and engaging. I, too, love this game. The foreshadowing of the next game in the afterward section of the ending is really exciting. And who doesn't love listening to French chanteuses? I am a francophone and francophile as well. It's just the perfect game for me.
Thank you so much for that compliment, I really appreciate that! I am so glad to see so much support for this game because it was just so fresh and you can tell they had a lot of fun with it with all of the little elements added.
Ah oui ?! Parlez français ?! 🙏❤️ Je besoin des des personnes a parler avec, car j’ai arrêté 😔
@@kitetales well, I wrote a fairly long reply in French but apparently RUclips didn’t like it. Frustrating! But yeah, it’s not hard to find language exchange partners (I think my reply was deleted because I gave an example of a website you can use). Anyway, bon courage dans votre apprentissage de la langue française ! Petit à petit, l’oiseau fait son nid !
I would love some lies of p lore videos from you, I am confused with Sophia's story, what was Arm of god etc but can you answer this for me - were these puppets robots or just doll puppets brought life with magical ergo without any mechanical equipment?
I will absolutely have some lore videos on the way! But for now, the puppets were mechanically created and it turns out that the Ergo used to power them had unknown qualities that affected them in different ways.
@@kitetales thanks miss, waiting for more videos 👍🏾
@@kitetales I subscribed in hopes of Lies of P lore videos.
Fantastic game. Honestly between summons, throwables and the aegis shield I think there is plenty of ways to reduce the challenge significantly. If you upgrade the aegis shield a bit you can literally hold block and attack while being immune to damage. Regardless let people play however they like. I love it. Cool review.
Thanks so much!! 😁 Yeah for NG+ going to try my hand at him again with throwables maxed out and see where it lands!
Rosa Isabelle ave is my favorite chapter of the game (the opera house is seriously amazing), and like you I loved that they included the French version of “Fascination.” So much so that I learned the lyrics (French is my 4th language). This game is truly exquisite.
Did you use the Spectres in the boss battles you had trouble with? I found that they made the fights much much easier
I did… And they did help a bunch! But I’m really just not good at these kind of games because I have really terrible spatial distance so my play style is inherently broken!
@@kitetaleson carcass enemy's u should use fire weapons and id suggested upgrading the flamburge as much as possible before the mid way part of the game, as im sure u know what happens
Yup I have that Salamander Blade on the Crystal Spear staff 🔥
@@kitetales oh ok cool
Nice review. Genuine
Thank you! 😊
Really great review. I was interested in the game due to the positive buzz and my love of Souls, and think this video just sealed the deal in the game's favor!
I'm really looking forward to getting my ego stomped on by this one. As soon as I can set aside a good amount of time for it. :)
So glad to hear you’ll be checking it out! And yes get your butt ready for a whopping because this game will give it to you! 😆
Its a great time to be a soulslike fan!
Good video! This game was so goooood!

I just beat it today 😂
NICE! Hopefully you got the good ending!

I’ve been looking forward to it since it was revealed years ago. And me not a souls like player even though I have a few of the titles none of them really gripped me. I finally sat down and started playing it and I’m currently loving it.
This game is hands down a visual, sound and gameplay masterpiece and hit all the checkboxes of GOTY.
I never felt any game that perfect since Sekiro. It is my second most favorite game of all time and I'm into gaming since my childhood
I've heard nothing but praise for Sekiro! Really going to have to get around to playing that one day.
@@kitetales if you do, you are going to have an absolute blast... IMO Sekiro is the epitome of perfect execution in terms of game machenics, storytelling and lore
The game is addictive just like the Lies of P
Btw I'm in love with Rosa Isabella Street Sequence... OMG the attention to details, the environment the background score and then that Majestic palace with that topnotch background score ❤️
Right?! Ugh I LOVE the vibe! Time to go to Paris! 😆
I just beat it the other night. I loved it so much, I am a huge souls fan and I think this is the best souls like ever. 10/10 can't wait for DLC
DLC will have a PIRATE SHIP!
Does that Easy mode mod disable achievements? Because I just realised that I missed a collectable tied to one of the endings that will mean I have to play the game 4 times instead of 3 to get everything.
A mod making things easier would definitely make things go quicker for me
Nope it doesn’t disable achievements! 😁
This game is amazing and I am extremely happy that its actually getting the praise it deserves!
Me too, I’m so happy the developers are getting the praise they deserve!
This was also my favorite game of the year. Also my favorite game ever! Neowiz did an amazing job.
They knocked it out of the park! I'm so happy to see how many people love the game, because it means we'll definitely get more from them!
@@kitetaleshopefully we do! In my opinion if they keep making games like this neowiz will dethrone fromsoft ware.
The only thing I hated in this game was that DAMNED SWAMP! And even then, it was still an amazing level. Really an amazing game, just finished it today and I got the best ending!
Yeah the swamp was a beast for sure! Didn’t even end up defeating those two Puppets of the Future 😆
Honestly I was pretty Luke warm with this game when I started, but the more I played the more I fell in love with it. I just finished my first playthrough and can't wait for new game +
Looking forward to the tinfoil hat story theories about puppets!
Thankfully it’ll be less tinfoil this time! 😆
What happened to the play through video of mario and alien isolation on your channel?!?
OMG I just understood the reference of Venigni xD
For games like these, the difficulty only enhances the experience. Because everything is so well thought out, lovingly made, and just gorgeous to look at/listen to/interact with, repeating something ovee and over and over becomes less tedious.
Not everyone can get away with this, and frankly I didnt think anyone besides From Soft can actually pull it off.
No it's not because it's hard and we're masochists, its because it's so good it's well worth it.
That's a great souls game, it won't be easy, but it will be worth it!
Thanks for covering this masterpiece
I would say the easy mode is to just use a summon on the bosses you struggle with. They take the aggro from the boss off of you and make it a whole heck of a lot easier. Also one thing is that I saw you going for a saber kind of weapon towards normal enemies, another thing to make the game easier is to use elements to your advantage A LOT. Electricity being probably the best for most of the game due to the amount of Puppets. As for bosses I am unsure if they are affected by elemental damage but I have to agree with you that some bosses just take the piss with how challenging they are. The animations aren’t readable at all and they can put you on a chokehold VERY fast. Maybe with further build upgrades I’ll feel different but I’m on chapter 4 or 5(so obviously not near the point you got frustrated at) and so far the bosses seem at least beatable once I accept to abandon my Sekiro muscle memory of parrying everything and start to block more to survive (I have to remind myself every time I boot up the game 😂).
Amazing review describes the game perfectly, fun that will kick your ass when you get cocky(it’s almost like it can hear you 😂). The boss that kicked my ass the most so far was the factory boss because I didn’t equip the status effect denier so the fire deleted me for him 😅
Thank you so much!! 💙
You should definitely keep using your voice for whatever else you do. You have a very pleasant tone.
Thank you so much, I appreciate that feedback!🥲❤️
Love the review in general. Except for the mod part. Learning the bosses and overcoming the challenge is part of the experience that makes this game a masterpiece. When you're u take down Laxxasia it's almost like taking down Malenia for the first time. A difficulty setting for the game i'm not a fan off although I could understand some people don't have the time or patience to spend hours beating a boss.
Thank you for watching! Yeah I’m unfortunately not one of those people that can really get too much better because I have horrible spacial awareness so boss fights where I have to judge distance and dodging is REALLY hard for me; I could show gameplay illustrating how many missed attacks I make just because it looks closer to me than it actually is. Then I run out of stamina, and it’s just downhill from there. 😔
@@kitetales Pretty sure I've watched almost all lies of p reviews at this point. This game is just so good. No bugs, the game just works as it should. That's rare these days.
That one grotesque cathedral boss that pushed you beyond your limits encompassing you to quit was actually a push over for me because I had remembered from a sign that i read at the beginning of the level saying that the infected are highly susceptible to fire so i imbued my weapon with fire and absolutely destroyed it.
Yesss I share the same exact sentiments for all the same reasons!
You my friend have EXCELLENT tastes then! 😆
I use the specters for the boss fights because I found out after the first one that it was not a real person kind of saddening that I can't farm XP by helping players but either way I use them because of the fact that it is a slight distraction so if I decide to make a brand new character I at least know the moveset of the enemy and of all my weapons because I get bored with the weapon I have and have to switch to a different one every now and then
It could be just me, but when starting new game +, you recieve Completed Ergo Wavelength Decoder, and I think that is what is doing all the translation...
I love this game so much, its not quite perfect but its the cloest thing to perfection ive felt while playing a game and im really excited for future content/sequels
I love the music, and the cutscenes are more cinematic than most movies
Also i might be stupid but are you saying venigni and pulcinella are batman and alfred? That was my thoughts when i heard the backstory
YES!! 😆 You’re the first other person I’ve seen say it, I thought maybe it wasn’t so obvious as I originally thought!
@@kitetales OMG i havent seen anyone else say it either, probably because hes one of the few characters we meet who *isnt* a badass animal themed fighter lmao
But i definitely thought of batman when he talked about his parents being killed in a "mugging" the butler being his only family, being a self described billionaore playboy philanthropist, etc
I’m on ng+3 and plan to keep playing until I reach max level and master every boss. Best game I’ve played since cyberpunk2077
I need to give Cyberpunk another try after all the patches, I just want to see Keanu Reeves!
amazing game. honestly i feel they should've made the easy mode less of a hidden mod. the mod literally just changes a hidden setting, so the mode was balanced by the devs but they were too embarrassed or something to include it in their debut 'soulslike' game, fearing the git gud crowd. some of the bosses took me 10+ hours to beat. i would not have complained if i could've turned on easy mode and got through the first playthrough sooner. adults with jobs don't have infinite time to play games, and this game is harder than bloodborne so easy mod (i haven't tried it) probably made it more comparable in terms of difficulty. the devs aren't beyond making the bosses easier with patches. even Radahn in Elden Ring got patched to be easier. it's a thin line between challenging but fun and fair and artificial difficulty for the sake of difficulty.
I COMPLETELY agree. The fact that the "easy" mode (which is wasn't even easy it just changed HP) was originally in the game but they took it out... just so odd to bend to pressure from the "git gud" crowd.
I started playing on patch 1.2 where they've apparently lowered the difficulty and the late-game for me was kind of a breeze which felt weird
I just finished this game and it was indeed amazing. I recommend it 9.5/10
I finally Finally beat it!!
WOOHOO!!! Which ending? Are you a good boy or a free puppet?!
I've had it on multiple occasions where if a guy is standing on the stairs and you're on the floor that they are going to you're not going to be able to hit them but they can surely hit you that is 100% of bug that or it's unfair and needs to be patched because I'm doing damage or wasting my inventory because of the fact that it's not registering damage look I can clearly see the fire from my flamberge just going straight through him it's very hard to miss when the fire is going behind him and burning the object behind him but not him till he reaches the top of the step where at
Specter + throwable granades is the cheat code for this game.
I used Specters for every fight… I didn’t realize people didn’t do that until this video! 😅
@@kitetales I'm just saying that using them is quite strong. P organ upgrades let you carry even more granades. It'sa legit strat to get throughthe bosses if you are not good at perfect blocking and dodging.
I used specter for the King and second rabbits fight. It's your game play however is most fun for you.
Maybe I’m just a dum-dum, but I never picked up on the Venigni/Pulcinella reference. Who are they wink/nodding at with those characters?
Batman and Alfred! 😊
This was the game I was most excited to play and I had all my expectations fulfilled. I liked the game forced you to use different weapons for especific enemies and also giving you hints to explore their weaknesses. I had a bit of trouble to understand the P-Organ functions in pratice and such the Legion Arms, but the game's learning curve is very simple that made me understand it quick. My problems were only 3:
1 - Some weapons behave very different even if their are the category. For example, even if you have two Great Hammers, it feels they have different Speed, others are fast and other are VERY slow, wich can feel very unbalanced. Same thing for Boss Weapons that are strong as hell.
2 - Some enemies, bosses included, have too delayed attacks and also have manner of give you a few hits after have their posture broken, Laxasia was the Complete Bullshit in this issue.
3 - There are P-Organ upgrades that could be already on game like the dodging while you're down.
I hope in future they change a bit in some weapons for balance issues, but for the rest it was the most gratifying experience in years. I've just finished my 6th playthrough, i had done 2 for platinum Trophy then I deleted it once I got it, I made 4 new Games focused on different builds, just waiting for DLC.
Oh yeah some of the delayed attacks were incredibly aggravating. By the time I had reached IV, they had patched 2 of the bosses so I bet more patches will be arriving based on everyone’s feedback. I’m so happy to see the game getting a lot of love and praise though, it makes me really optimistic for seeing more from them!
I love this game but sometimes it just does not want to heal but I can rapidly click that button but nothing will happen other times we'll attack and my character just stands there that's why I end up dying a lot more than I should the buttons aren't responding
YES!! That happened a lot with me too, glad to know it wasn’t just me not pressing it quickly enough!
One thing that I guarantee they should put in for DLC the damn Pinocchio outfit I don't want to have to go and try to find a way to pre-order something that no longer exists and I mean the pre-order doesn't exist you can get the actual game but you can't get the preorder stuff now . . . I want the costume
I don't know how to get the hound weapon that he keeps talking about very confused
Oh the one Alidoro wants you to get? You get it after turning in the Ergo when you defeat the swamp monster
I use the crystals to boost everything that was not the guard so basically my throwables my heal and a few others just to make sure I can actually power my way through my recovery for my potions is up pretty high as well I made sure I was more of a physical attacker and then I eventually changed my stats where I have everything kind of balanced and what I mean by that is every stat is pretty much the same leveling up in this game is not that hard dxp doesn't go up that much you don't have to worry about having the gained forty thousand sols for the next level it stays at lake 15,000 for a very long time I'm at level 206 and only need 23, 360 then I can level up it literally costs nothing
I know it’s not gonna get game of the year but I still put it in my top 3 of the year
For sure. I think BG3 will get GOTY, I haven’t played it but that was probably the most successful release this year
may i spoil a little bit here? The easter you mention got me confused, because it betweens the bat or the iron. The lore closer to the bat but the appearance closer to the iron. edited: I'm talking about Venigni.
Sorry I’m a little confused, what do you mean by the bat or iron?

What I used for bosses that were extremely tough like that evil clown puppet was I ran behind him and hit the stargazer then ran and farmed throwables then destroyed him got the double dragon sword and just walked through I believe the entire game
When was it you played this game? Its just that the boss you got stuck on has been nerfed since release time. He was absolutely ridiculous, with a stupidly large health bar. I actually only managed to beat him due to pure luck basically
This game is just so good
I think this is super funny cause I struggled so much against the previous bosses and the gross frog monster was actually the only boss I killed in two attempts
personally, the weapon upgrade system being the 15 years old dark souls smithing stones system is my only gripe.
I never experience with weapons in these games especiallty since i can't change weapons without needing to go farm for them or even lose some limited ressource.
I had to install the console command, give myself 100 of every stone ande 100k ergo on playthrough #3 to test out the different weapons.
We should be able to extract smithing stones from a weapon at the cost of ergo.
I wouldn't say it's harder than the souls series, but Laxasia is the equivalent of Malenia, in 2nd phase. She was the only boss I had to use a spectre, just to buy time to be sure I could break her pose and be done with it, after 6+ hours looking at her dead face. I'm suprised she is a main story boss. I beat the guy who came next in my 2nd try, and almost did it for the first.
The only criticism I have of the game is about enemy design - some enemies have weak figthing patterns and major health bars that will just piss you off and get you bored, since you'll fight them throughout most of the game.
Until the comments I didn’t realize people weren’t using the Spectres for each boss fight 😅 The last fight was REALLY difficult for me, had to respec completely and even then, I didn’t beat it by myself.
Agree with you about some of those world mobs, the jumping clowns were the worst for me and were the shovel guys.
Which ending did you get?
I got the Rise of P ending first play through! Probably going to go for the Real Boy ending next
It reminds me so much of Bloodborne when it come to atmosphere.
Yeah especially Krat and Yharnam, love the city vibes in both!
Who are vegnini and pulcinella supposed to be?
Batman and Alfred!
@@kitetales hmm I guess. Missing a Robin though 😂
Patch 1.02 has made this game a lot easier and for the better so maybe you could try it out without the mod now and hopefully get unblocked
Oh awesome news, I’ll try it out without my training wheels and see how I do in Andreus NG+ 😆
goated game
Games like this shouldn't have difficulty setting! Well they actually do. U got 3 or so options. One the summon helper guy u can call in for boss fights. U can level up your character, grind to improve his ratings. 3 practice , practice and more practice learn get better. Throwing objects, using legion arm, just using all that the game gives u to beat enemies. In my opinion just play the game, learn how to parry, dodge and learn the move sets of the enemies u are facing. This game is amazing in my opinion.
You are being far too generous in your confidence of my ability to improve 😅 I’m genuinely terrible because I have poor spatial awareness in all aspects of my life
If you go to the arcade and destroy the big giant brutes over and over again you can actually gained probably about 4K every run and that's pretty much all you really need to do is farm those little guys or get those throwable items
the reason I got into souls games to begin with was the world building and exploration, everything else was secondary. So, I was pretty bummed when it got known as the "hard" game and every release tried to compete with the last in terms of difficulty. So, I'm pretty on the fence on this about this one as I'm just very burned out on the Souls-like design. It is very pretty, though.
Yeah I’m with you about being tired of difficulty being a feature these games are known for, because I’m more drawn to story, world and characters and difficulty isn’t something I really feel enhances an experience for me. Just thankful for this mod making it just a tad more manageable otherwise I would have been really bummed about it.
You guys might want to play Ashen then. Its basically that exactly that. Crazy world but more forgiving combat by far.
Also theres no way in hell you'll be having performance issues. You'll see what i mean if you check it out.
thanks I am somewhat familiar with Ashen, I think I actually own it on one of the systems(bought it on a sale) so I will give it a shot. It's not that I absolutely hate the difficulty, in fact my favorite souls game is probably Bloodborne, which used to be considered one of the harder ones. It's just the endless desire to one up each game in terms of difficulty. Granted, they wound it back in Elden Ring and I did basically every boss in that game and it was fun, but there is a whole crowd that loves the difficulty and streaming themselves doing challenges on twitch, and TO ME they kind of lead the game down some repetitive design roads. @@hankskorpio5857
No it's not user mechanic for that parry I thought it was just me until I watched another RUclipsr say the same thing that thing is busted his all hell I really hope they give this game a small polish cuz it's all it needs it'll be less stressful it's just the small stuff was just scrubbed is a small stuff eventually becomes extremely annoying because of the fact that it now becomes detrimental to your gameplay that you need these items but they don't function it's like having a car that sometimes wants to start it's not always annoying but when it's very important it's stressful I would use the lock mechanic more if it just registered when I clicked it like sekiro I believe every souls copy should go to the developer of dark souls and ask him for some assistance for the controls so things work properly so I'm not losing my mind because of some fun that didn't work like me clicking an attack upon nitre stand there or I could heal and I'm just walking around thought I clicked the button but apparently nothing happened and I just get slaughtered
I swear the mechanics came from all the fromsoft games but the style feels like it's around the time of bloodborne only because of geppetto and that's because of a certain time period so I'm just going with the estimated gas so it's around that time period
The easy mode is already in the game, it's the specters that can help you.
I wish I could say the Specters helped me but, I used them every time and still sucked!
Venigi was a reference to what?
Batman!
@@kitetales Oh, I didn't connected the pieces at all but actually true haha
Thanks.
Currently on my first play through on PS5. My pride won’t even allow me to use a spectator in boss battles 😂. I owe it to Bloodborne & Sekiro to just suffer and thug it out!
Anderus is hard yeah lol, even with the salamander knife.
SO hard. And honestly I suck, my gameplay hurts to watch 😅
It’s either Bruce Wayne and Alfred, or Tony Stark and Jarvis… not sure
Maybe I’ll sound like a gatekeeper but I don’t think mods like that nor ingame easy modes should be made got for them. The vision of such games is to have the player face an extremely difficult challenge and give them the sense of accomplishment after getting destroyed and finally beating the thing that at the beginning felt impossible
(I also don’t think that ppl should use such mods but it’s fine at LoP cuz it atleast has a story being told)
I get a sense of accomplishment finishing my work not with games; games are my reward for working, I don’t need them to feel like work 😩
There cannot be an easy mode because if there is even us the people who don't want it may end up using it. We want and love theese games being soul crushingly difficult and we love that they don't give us a choice other than actually meeting the skill bar.
It's cool that there's a mod for players who want it easier. But let's keep it at modding and not a setting or believe it or not theese games will loose 190,000 % of their meaning.
Hmm! 🫶
I don't see Bioshock icing literally every single souls game from soft has made shoved into this game but not fully updated so it works properly there are some mechanics that I've seen other RUclipsrs as well as myself complain about only because it doesn't register what I clicked I'm registering it and noticing I'm just standing still but I don't notice it right away I stand there and complete all of I click the button and I'm ready to go but then I realized I just got punched in the face by the bosses mighty fist of Doom and I just lost almost my entire health bar and then died it takes a few seconds for me to realize it because I know I click the button I know it's not my controller because I used it afterwards for dark souls three playing with my friend not a single issue except for the healing sometimes you have to double-click this game does it for nearly everything every now and then which is surprisingly more than dark souls 3 hopefully and I really hope that they update this game
The setting is a lot like Bioshock 3 which I loved
I loved this game and how it was executed…. But the bosses coulda been done better. They were always either really fucking big and hit like a semi truck, or small but fast as all hell. A good example is swamp monster. Hes way to big for his arena and then gets bigger when he gets in stage 2.
So the bosses aren’t hard, they are just broken. For the arch bishop boss, you simply need throw a bunch of grenades at it when he’s in his second form. Same with the other bosses lol.
Yeah well I played before all those patches when it used to be NUTS
thank god they nerfed andreus and friends to make the game more accessible
10:10 heheheh gank time
THE ENDING I GOT MADE ME SO MAD 😭 i just wanted to be a good boy was that too much to ask
You can be a good boy, for a the low price of one heart 😰
12:50 i want to rip off my own eyes
I’ll help you! 🫶
As far as I've noticed there's no such thing as poise like in dark souls
I hope thay dont add a difficulty slider because if it gets to hard i might just switch to easy and i love watimg people suffer
Whoooa easy there fella we don’t admit to enjoying suffering 😰
I don't use mods for this game
