  • @berryleung7288
    @berryleung7288 2 месяца назад +21

    It isn't easy at all! Ohtani is recently having the first big slump he has this season. His avg is .172 in last 15 games, he only had 11 hits & 15K. Yet within this struggling period, 6HR, 2B, 3B are from the 11 hits with 11 RBI. What's great about Ohtani is that even when he isn't hitting well or clutchy, he will still use his speed to make 10 runs & 9 successful steals to help team to score runs. Once he's on bases he's finding his way to contribute his best to team. He doesn't look up his accumulated numbers but he's definitely going after 45-45 or 50-50 unconsciously. Not for his personal records, he works them through for the wins of his team.

      @berryleung7288 2 месяца назад

      @@aboutme7810 It's all related for winning! At least 3 games recently, Ohtani's HR & running for steals/scores contributed the wins for Dodgers. As soon as you get RBI for your team, the problem is that most Ohtani's HRs are solo because Dodgers bottom lineups were weakest for mths until recently. Besides, the opponent teams were highly alert against Ohtani. Whenever there's more than one runner on base ahead of Ohtani's AB, there were always changing of pitchers right in front of Ohtani. Even Judge hardly get changing pitchers right before his AB at all. Yet Ohtani probably has faced most changes of pitchers right before his AB in MLB. Since Ohtani is new to NL, it gives him no time to find out information of the changing pitchers. That's why Ohtani has much lower RISP this season than last season. And the RISP data doesn't reflect changing pitchers the moment right before Ohtani's AB!

    That was a bloop homerun by Shohei, a freebee. SL is a real baseball city, as you see at least a few Cards fans applaud why they pay to go to the games. Greatness is universal.

      I don't think 112mph off the bat and a 21 degree launch angle is considered a "bloop" home run lol, I think line drive home run is what you're looking for. A bloop home run is basically a pop-up that gets a little wind assistance and squeaks over the fence.

That would go down as one of the top 10 largest gaps in MLB history between a 1st and 2nd place in the OPS+ column. Judge is hitting like 40 points higher, has an OBP 90 points higher, a SLG 90 points higher, and an OPS 180 points higher. He has 25 more RBIs, 6 more homers, and like a full point higher WAR. While playing defense by the way, instead of sitting on the bench when his team is in the field like Ohtani. Keep trying though.

    Perfectly timed swing and steady follow-through with an unwavering lower body. How beautiful.
    The wonderful sound of the ball is proof that all the power is concentrated mechanically, without any waste or blurring when hitting the ball.
    That's why the ball can fly so far even though it appears to be hit lightly.
    The three characteristics of Shohei Ohtani's swing are what we see.
    (1) Natural dynamic vision to see the movement of the ball,
    (2) A stable and smooth swing trajectory that does not shake his body axis due to his overwhelming strength of his torso, lower body, legs, and hips,
    (3) Instantly finds the best timing for hitting the ball and captures the timing with certainty.
    These three things are performed with a big body that has been trained through diet and training for his past 10 years.
    As a result, he can hit a moving ball as far with a steady and efficient swing as if it were a driver shot of a stationary golf ball.
