He's a DH that has had TWO Tommy John surgeries and Dodger fans hope he comes back as an ace pitcher. For the money they paid him he should win 17 games a year, hit 50+ homers multiple times and win a couple of MVP's. Besides that I hope he hits a couple more out of the stadium. I'd like to see him hit a couple over 500 feet. Maybe be a 50/30 guy too.
If Shohei had joined the MLB straight out of high school as he had hoped, there would have only been Shohei Ohtani as a pitcher. I can't express enough my gratitude to the Hokkaido Nippon-Ham Fighters and manager Hideki Kuriyama for paving the way for him to become a two-way player and making it a reality.

Ruth also played in an era of fewer genuine all-star calibre pitchers with less range and fewer regulations on bats and many other differences. For his time he was exceptional, but you can't really compare them properly given how different the game is today. With that said, Ohtani has set records that never would have existed without his entry into the sport. Not even Ruth could have hoped to achieve some of the records Ohtani has set. Yeah, he's still early in his career and Ruth played a really long time. But honestly, for the sport as it is now, Ohtani is the greatest to be seen.

Shohei Ohtani's dingers have a different sound coming off the bat compared to any other MLB slugger. As a life long DODGERS fan. I sure am grateful that he chose to come to LA. His swing is perfection in motion. It doesn't even seem like he exerts much effort - but rather that 100% of the effort exerted goes directly into turning the ball into a fine powder. Even his bat's follow through at the end looks like he just teed off on a stationary object instead of a 98mph fastball. Just one cohesive motion, firing off the ball like an arrow from a bowstring and watching it sail over the heads of his adoring fans. It's pretty neat
