I was reminded of the 30 for 30 "You Don't Know Bo" where the guy talks about the sound of the bat when Bo Jackson hit the ball. The guy had heard all of the greats since the 40s, and said he hadn't heard that sound for 20+ years.
It's great watching him grow more confident over the course of the season. He went from dude who sprints around the bases in case it isn't a homer to dude who watches himself send the ball into the cheap seats then shrugs at angry fans like Michael fucking Jordan.
In my 35 years as a fan of baseball I lost a little interest in baseball a few years ago but I must say Shohei just reinvigorates the love I truly have for baseball thank you Shohei Ohtani
I used to be a fan. I've been going through my dad's sports cards, and Ohtani put me over the top. I'm back in on baseball. Too many good players to not watch.
Many of those HRs were mammoth, and the opposing team's broadcaster had to exclaim about them with awe. That HR off the catwalk in Tropicana Field was incredible, and roughly equalled by the HR way up into the upper boxes of T-Mobile Park. Ohtani has so much power in such a smooth, quick, explosive swing that is beautiful to watch.

Shohei's HR is one of the loudest and sweetest sound of the bat & ball, most of his HRs were 380 to 400 feet, I can't imagine if Ohtani played at the small ballpark at Yankee stadium, he probrably hit 60 HRs also

It is incredibly rare to hit into the top deck, it has only happened a handful of times, definitely less than 10

I don't think it matters what team you cheer for Ohtani has fans everywhere. He is so humble that it makes it that much more fun to watch him play.
