10:19 well that is someone who has not gotten new planes
2020 and still looks the same...
😂😂
Still keeping it real
They work, don't they?
Same with 48:34. The livery is timeless
22:33 I just looked up this 747-400's tail number (B-2464) and to my surprise in 2001 she was one of the 747s that was converted into a Dreamlifter. Her registration is now N747BC.
This guy knew there was gonna be RUclips one day
Jesus, a swissair 747. Such a classic throwback!
well a Swiss md 11, that brings back nightmares.
Tarun Suresh was it Swissair Flight 111?
@@Swag_K1RBY Yes
As Swiss001 always says, oh jezuz christ
lol dont remember making this comment
20:54 Seeing TG's Royal Barge livery on the 747 brought me tears 😭
3:25 well i found my new vacation spot
Very stupid person 🤛🤛

Lol
Unbelievable what a diversity of aircraft there still was begin 21st century.. would love to go back in those days for a day 😃🤩
Pre 9/11. Lol. I remember when you could smoke on flights.
While it’s true that there isn’t very much diversity, most airliners today are nonetheless incredibly efficient and safe.
Bizjet Pilot it wasn’t efficient. The mainline and regional market seems to only be able to sustain 2-3 players each. The Boeing and Airbus duopoly will continue to exist until either company collapses or is forced to split.
I doubt that any airliner efforts from the Russians or Chinese will materialize into a reliable or desirable product. Most of the buyers will be airlines existing within the Russian & Chinese spheres of influence
I mean it still diverse now if you go to major airports ike LHR. A320, A321, A330, A340, A380, B737, B747, B757, B767, B787, B777, etc.
49:18 thought it was air china until i saw the AIR GREAT WALL never knew it was a thing 58:36
The ONLY airline that can cross the Great Wall
trump favorite airline lmao
Omg i lived in China but I just knew this lol
2:28 Holy shit! Singapore Flight 117!!! The registration is the same! 9V-STP
Wow. I can’t believe it
Pardon my ignorance, but what is the significance?
@@usmann6872 Singapore flight 117 involved that exact plane which was hijacked. Just read it on Wikipedia
woah
Ohh is it?
4:10 frame G-CIVN is still in service
Probably won’t be after this stuff settles down
The internet says it‘s stored
Sansen 1408 between the time I wrote the comment and the time you saw it was wfu, it was still active
No longer
No longer
5:16 SWISSAIR's MD-11
Maybe the most interesting planespotting ever
2:28 Google Singapore Flight 117
Kaustav Kar that was the plane used in the hijacking
KLM just broke my heart yesterday by retiring their whole 747-fleet after 49 years (instead of 50 next year) because of the coronavirus and now this is in my recommendations!? 2020 makes me sad. :(
Nice. I remember flying a United 747-200 from NRT to PEK back in early 1999.
I don’t think it’s normal that those engines sound like a rocket taking off at 33:14 lmao
Fady Kahil What do you expect from North Korea
It’s what low bypass turbojet engines sound likewise
nah its the same rockets that are used by north korea to launch nukes
That's what old low bypass engines sound like when they don't have a hush kit installed on them. BAC 1-11s and DC-9s made that same crackling noise at takeoff power. It's completely normal.
@@niklasloikkanen4844 it’s a russian airplane.
When the 747 was today's a320...
A320 is from 1988
747 was today’s 777*
51:51 captures the very MD-82 that was involved in the flight 6136 crash in 2002; I've flown on it once. It brings back good childhood memories. Thank you.
10:16 AIR KORYO
I live right near LAX, and I feel like I never see 747s anymore. It’s sad.
Jim Cola we don’t see anything anymore
747 freighter
55:14 National Airlines 102 😥
19:20 CAAC 981
Incredible footage! I remem er going on a school trip to Beijing in 2001 on an MD-11 we parked next to an Air Koryo IL 62 and JAL DC-10. I didn't think so much of it at the time, but what I'd give to see such a variety of aircraft types and sounds again!
i saw a Air Koryo Pyongyang to Beijing review and it park next to Korean Air B747 ahhaha 2 koreas unite at Beijing!
Just think, No flight radar 24, All routes would just have to be memorized by the times they come in and what aircraft they use on those routes
The age of 747, very nostalgic.
RIP aviation

55:02 Woah ! That is one dirty aircraft ! Nothing against AF, and not meant to be an AF-bashing post
LQP wow
@LQP Thank for the info! Sadly impressive...
That plane was converted into an Air France Cargo Plane before it was transferred to Afghanistan and crashed.
Because it's a cargo a 747-BCF
@@zenmashofficial wasn't it National Airlines
Those planes were gigantic!
Imagine trying to go spotting during the outbreak.
2 hours: only 2 cargo 747 and a md11f
I have never seen a bae 146 flying for air China. Great catch 👍
Absolutely amazing
I'd give so much to enjoy the great diversity of aircrafts again
Man, where have two decades gone?!?! But anyway...great vid. Quite a few Soviet era planes in here. Also cool to hear how engine sounds have changed over the past 20 years.
I really miss seeing a variety of different airlines as well as airplanes. Yep, those were the days 👍
Extremely awesome video! Such diversity of amazing planes! Saved it in my favo’s! Thx for sharing 👍
Since this video starts off with a MD-11, this is a like already!
So many airlines are no longer exist now...so vintage yo..
Yeah... But, for example, Sibir' at 29:55 exists now as nice green S7)) More sadly that many of aircrafts in this video won't ever fly
16:29 " ich schwör " ... "ernsthaft ich kotz gleich" 😂😂😂
glaub da hat wer das essen dort net vertragen ^^
Hää sieht doch gut aus. Was ist falsch?

Amazing! FANTASTIC! Thank you for posting
Absolutely brilliant ..loved it fabulous video thanku love an God bless x
After so many years, the ILS GP tower house remain the same. Probably equipment changes, but that house never changed
imagine seeing Soviet planes in airports in China now! you will only find Air Koryo at a few select airports
Amazing thanks for sharing
Beautifully shot!
Wow, 20yrs ago. Many of these airlines no longer exist or have been acquired.
I can't stop watching this video
me too its my fav throwback as i am Chinese
Precious video!
10:19 Air Koryo 5 star airline!
Thanks! It's great !!!
i felt a bit of sadness knowing most of those planes no longer fly. Perhaps, except for the BA 747 - I believe it is still flying- G-CIVN. Was great to see the MD-11s once again.
Thanks for taking us back to another time.
Suomi finland old times that livery amd plane so big memories thank you
jenni Salminen älä vaa
Fora a diversidade de aviões que tinha nessa época...é um pouco triste pensar que .muitos desses aviões não existem mais...desmanche. Bons tempos...( português/ Brasil)
Amazing video ! It was filmed the year i was born
Fabulous awesomenes!
Will forever be in love with DC-10s & MD-1ls
Always!.❤
Just amazing
5:42, the sound of D30 is so unique. I used to fly with China Southwest so many times.
Me encanta estos videos antiguos de una época en la que la tecnología no estaba tan avanzada como hoy, gracias por compartir, se podían ver 747's de forma constante.
Back when almost all 747s were still alive
3:46 Rip
Great video for my robocat!
Beautiful . I grew up in a steel town . I really miss that wonderful air
Glad you enjoyed it
Amazing
Some airlines and airplanes are gone, some still have the same liveries, what a nostalgia!
4:38 The outstanding ethnic liveries of BA (widely known as Utopia Livery or World Tails) created by London-based design agency Newell & Sorrell. The project was very much critisized and Chris Holt, the head of design management at British Airways, who led the Utopia Project, resigned in October 1999. Source: Wikipedia.
this is so fucking cool, like a snapshot into the past, like a time machine.
Nice to see a mixture of Western and Soviet aircraft.
It was golden time, so many different birds, no matter, Soviet, European or American, they just were in flying, and it was great... And now it's very boring to look at modern airports, the same typical planes everytime, everywhere
so many different air koryos ! :D
Another thing I've noticed is that the planes in these videos from the late 90s and early 2000s make much more of hissing noise than they do now whereas now they make more of a roar or whoosh. I'm not sure whether it's the planes rather it is an artifact of the microphone/speaker.
3:46 😍
My god those MD-11s are gorgeous
2:28 yeah
The Soviet planes are such a treat!
Now you will only find Air Koryo as Soviet plane in BCIA ;/
20:57 I like that Thai Airways "Royal Barge" livery on that B747
BORN IN 2000!
2:19 This aircraft (9V-STP) was hijacked by four Pakistanis in 1991. The plane would land safely, and all hostages survived. It was the only time Singapore Airlines was hijacked
Finnair MD-11 👌👌👌
1:00:17 What plane is that?
Y-7
its a xian Y-7
40:14 my fav airline
Wuhan Airlines...lol
RolingDude92 Wuhan airlines has become a part of China Eastern
Stupid people intend to relate to silly questions.
That today would definitely not age well
wuhan air never knew was a thing
I’m stupid I don’t get what’s funny can someone explain
Nice clean air there as always
omg i used to took that Shanghai B757 and Yunnan(now China Eastern ) B767 from CTU , what a great catch :D
Malev - Hungarian Airlines 767 ( HA-LHB ) at 3:52 - the complete aircraft tail of this 767 stand as a monument at Aeropark Budapest entrance ... 👍👍
The air is so heavily polluted,. It is rare to see blue sky!
Pretty sad isn't it
Can't be from 2000. United 777 N218UA was delivered in Jan 2001.
QuikjFPV bruh
Those good old days...
Love the classic grey united airlines
51:58 the plane of flight 6136
Wow 32.18 Yugoslav Airlines ! Never knew; imagine I (still do) did travel a lot in China / Asia / World in those days. Big chance I've seen those planes and even flown a few, but those days I only saw them as a way to get from A to B......
A lot of Asian airlines have not changed livery :D keep the tradition and memories
My god, so nostalgia
so many have merged!
55:05 jeez that 747 needs a wash down
This 747 crashed a couple of years ago in Afghanistan. Check National-Airlines-Flight 102 for more information.
Yes, you mean Air France?
@@astrogaming6221 No, this plane crashed in National Airlines, as cargo aircraft
wow.....
Are there any video’s like this one from amsterdam airport Schiphol???
3:35 did not age well lol
54:57 The aircraft crashed near Afghanistan's Bagram Air Force Base due to a cargo failure in flight 102 after being sold by National Airlines.
Koryo has been a quite frequent visitor there.
DAMM i love that DC10's
3:35 would not want to fly on that airline...
