    Used to fly with Northwest when I was young. Have few pictures lying around but I remember quite a bit.
    That thumbnail gave me a massive blast from the past. Even though we still have great airlines today, we had a much bigger selection of airlines, much cheaper fares, Boeing was top dog, and we had much cooler fleets than what we have today. A220s and A330Neos are cool, but nothing like having Saab 340s to 747s with DC-9s, Classic 737s, and even some 727s and DC-10s in the mix.
    I’ll always love aviation, but we will never get the amount of diversity of aircraft and airlines in our airports again. Just the way it is.
    Thanks for this awesome video JustPlanes! Miss these times greatly.

    Good old DC-3 (17:18) and DC-6 (19:04), they must have been pretty rare sight, even in 2009.

The aircraft was on its takeoff roll in Bogota, Colombia in its flight to Miami, when the Number 4 engine failed, prompting the pilots to declare an emergency and return to the airport. 20 seconds later, the Number 1 engine failed for reasons unknown, making the aircraft too powerless to climb further. Forced to make an off-airport landing, the aircraft then skimmed over trees before crashing into a field, skidding before crashing into a ranch house. All 8 crew members survived but were injured, but two people in the ranch house, a man and his son, were killed. (Centurion Air Cargo flight 164) (Yeah, I’m pretty sure this video was filmed before 2009.)
