Just got my new Pilates reformer after missing 6 months due to Covid closures, I de died to purchase one. I’m 73 and feel great after following your videos . Thank you and keep up the wonderful work.
I have "blocked shoulders" and it's one of the reasons I have decided to get a Reformer. In Addition to actual 3D classes, this flow seems great for my shoulders and arms. Love the clarity, look forward to seeing your other videos. Thanks very much
Thank you so much for your offerings! I am new to getting back into reformer work at home and I really love your segments. It’s wonderful to be able to zero in on what you want to address in a short amount of time. Your teaching style is open and not intimidating and I also love your dogs popping on from time to time.
I have been recovering from a painful pinched shoulder/computer injury and this routine plus the chiropractor has helped me to fully recover. Thank you John Gary!
My first workout with my new reformer and first pilates workout and I thoroughly enjoyed it. Thank you very much for making it so easy to follow and no pressure to keep up or to over exert myself. I will be using your tutorials 😊
I love your flows and easy to understand directions. I have a client who is missing his right hand and wrist. I’ve adapted some arm work putting the strap at the elbow, but would very much appreciate some ideas for arm, shoulder and chest work, as the one side is weaker.
It’s already tough enough!! The Basic series is really useful for my clients. I’m gonna do this right away in my class. I’m waiting for more videos for beginners. Thanks :)
Thanks - we release a new video every week, so stay tuned. If you want full class, with notes you can download, be sure to check out johngareytv.com. :)
The pace and the instructions are excellent . Thank you. I need to get the hardware to shorten my straps as I see you doing but not sure where I can buy them . Please let me know as my workouts will be more enjoyable with them .
I really enjoy doing your videos.I have a SPX from Costco. When you have spoken of shortening the straps-I have not figured out how to do that.I just grab the ropes.I would love to see a close up on how you are doing that-to see if it is an option on my reformer.Thank you!
By the way John ....you should tell everybody your age before workout...like motivational spark...there are not anybody like you..thank you for beautiful workout videos
Hi John - Im a beginner and enjoying your vidoeos - I have a different reformer to you - with 4 springs of equal weight - When you talk about light or heavy springs can you let me know what the equivalent is with the 4 equal springs please
Hi Lerida - thanks for watching our videos. I would say one to one with what I'm suggesting. Even for those who have the same Reformer model I have, the springs are always a suggestion. Everyone has different strengths. So I would make sure that you are feeling the resistance and can perform the exercise with good form and full range of motion. I'm going to do a few tutorials on the different brands of Reformers in the future, including the difference in the springs. Coming soon! :)
The best coach!
