I made the mistake of using my wrench instead of threading by hand the oil pan drain bolt on my last oil change, so I ended up crossthreading/stripping threads. Luckily I had replaced the drain bolt about 25k miles ago, so I had the old one to put into the hole while I waited for my new pan to arrive. Always thread back in by hand and only needs torqued to like 25-30 ft-lbs otherwise you might have to replace your oil pan like me😂
Luckily my Tacoma has a small oil pan that was easy to replace once I had it

Don't forget to fill the filter before installing, or if it goes on at an angle partially fill it. Lubricate the gasket and make sure the old gasket isn't stuck to the filter mount. Tighten the filter by hand only, and when it's as tight as you can make it, back off just a scooch. You won't have any problems with it, and it will come off by hand the next time.
