    OMG Jake E. Lee! My guitar Hero! My favorite guitar player. Incredible creativity, technique, original, wonderful stage performance and added to what I've seen, read and heard is a fantastic human being. A guitarist who had to endure so much comparative criticism with Randy and still play in a band that was a real nightmare with Ozzy and his wife. This guy is so underrated in the Rock scene. I am really happy for him that every year this has been changing. 10/10

    Jake should be enrolled in the Rock and Roll hall Fame For his Nearly 40 years of Giving his Life to the Music Business.

There have been some legitimate complaints like not liking his tone and such but mostly it's " he sucks Randy is better." I saw Jake with Badlands and I was just in awe the whole time. Plus he has some hidden gems on The Ultimate Sin album that nobody talks about like Fool Like you. So a note to my fellow Randy is the Best club members, You are not honoring his memory by trashing every guitarist to follow him. Imagine stepping into the shoes as the lead guitarist for Ozzy after the phenom that Randy was (RIP). Not only did Jake excel at this but some of his songs were completely knocked out of the park with classics like Bark at the Moon. It was criminal that Jake wasnt paid his dues. The ugly side of the music industry. Ozzy, Sharon - WTF were you thinking?

  • @Craig_Fussell
    @Craig_Fussell 5 лет назад +11

    Jake stepped in and did a really, really great job. It’s always tough to see another musician (or vocalist for that matter!) have to step in after a departure of a key component of the sound of a band. To bad the relationship with Ozzy ended regardless of the reason. I think he’s one of those guys who can play anything you throw at him and make it sound fantastic with his own style.🤙🏻😎🎸

    My brother is probably one of the biggest Randy Rhoads fans in the world. Or at least he was until you passed away of an aneurysm a few years back. He actually had the same style of hair is Randy Rhoads in the same facial features. It's funny now when I look at pictures of Randy I can still see my brother. Anyways I watched him collect Randy Road stuff for years. I wasn't fortunate enough to see Ozzy why Randy Rhoads was alive but I know every note of every song that the man played. On the other hand I did get to go to the Bark at the Moon concert and the ultimate sin concert with backstage passes. Not only was Jake are huge stage presence and phenomenal guitars. But he was also a great and amazing person. He is a true musician. He is also a true inspiration.

    Another great analysis. The more people who know Jake's crucial contribution to Ozzy classics the better. Definitely right on the versatility. A musician far more inclined towards bluesier 70s grooves (based on his output post-Ozzy) who nevertheless took crazy 80s flash techniques further than any other Ozzy guitarist. While Randy will always be the greatest Ozzy guitarist - especially due to his innovation and writing ability - Jake for me had the most effortless feel on the guitar and the best vibrato.

      Ozzy had a part on almost everything Sharon did, especially stealing royalties from his musicians.
      Jake himself said that Ozzy told to his face he fucked him. People pretend he's this goof that took too much drugs and just wanted to make great music.
      He's not. Ozzy punched Randy Rhoads in the face when he wanted to quit the band before the accident. Ozzy act like they were like brothers, reality seems much different, they hated each others in the last days.
      Ozzy also headbutted and broke bassist Don Costa's nose for no reason before firing him. After he paid for his surgery to keep everything silent.

    An idea of a topic which relates to seeing musical origins, (which might not be worth the trouble), is that I have always thought that a straight line could be drawn from the octave soloing of Wes Montgomery to the Hendrix instrumental piece "Villanova Junction Blues" at the end of his Woodstock performance (There's a cover by Steve Tibbetts). And seeing that Hendrix performance as inspiration to a younger generation of players, you could draw a line to Steve Vai with his octave playing in "Sisters" and "Tender Surrender", and another line to Eric Johnson's "Manhattan", and "East Wes". I'm not saying that they didn't know about Wes Montgomery, but that the Hendrix piece might have been a catalyst in them incorporating octaves in their playing (since they are both Hendrix fans). I find this kind of stuff interesting, but it would involve using a few different clips, and might just be too much work.

As far as Ozzy solo goes, I love Randy (obviously), and Zakk Wylde is awesome, but Jake is up there with those two easily. This may be an unpopular opinion, but my personal favorite album is The Ultimate Sin, which was a Jake E Lee album. I was a junior or senior in high school, at Circle K getting gas and I saw the cassette for dirt cheap. I played the fuck out of that cassette. That's what got me really into Ozzy. I recommend anyone who loves Ozzy to give that album another listen.

      Seeing and reading this is all new to me. Woe. I like to write screen plays and plan to make an independent film. Would I be wrong leaving out all of the names of people making it in front of and behind the camera and call it my own? It appears to me to have been a very stressful time for the OO band to grieve and accept anyone to replace family in a case like this. I believe Jake E. Lee must have been compared to Randy Rhoads during this early time as not good enough. Only Ok. Regarding adding new songs/riffs wasn't part of OO plan despite the effort made to fill that gap and move ahead with Lee. I can't imagine trying to carry on with tour dates when that team building to family start after the songs are written and played. That's drama. A good one for the Osbournes to air. I imagine few words and more bleeps. I've learned it takes four steps to create a team to complete and my guess they made it to step 2. Lee was in 3 if they split. Aren't Royalties earned to the team created? How can a contract be written to say your not entitled? Does every team member need an agent? I always thought band members were working together and shared equally. Is there deception on who is more valuable? Who gets the Lion's Share? Even dogs get rewarded scraps after a big meal. This sounds like greed came before group. Probably why good bands break up. If this is for Jake to get his share; lesson learned. I think he could get his own band, play what he wrote, and should get his own agent. Who does he play with now?
