Love my 2024 rs. All safety features, panoramic sunroof etc. the 1.5 turbo in all honesty is not that bad. Enough power and getting 8.5 litres per 100km combined. Pretty good if you ask me. Handling, steering and suspension give a incredible ride. Great vehicle for the money.

That is the reason I went and just bought my second Hyundai Tucson. I like the looks of the Chevy Equinox, but the reviews of the 1.5L engine with turbocharger aren't that good. The Tucson comes with a 2.5L engine and an 8 speed transmission.
If Chevy goes back to the 2.4L engine without the turbo like they had in 2017, then I will consider buying one.

Nobody questions the tiny engines (mostly cvt's) of the Japanese & Korean vehicles. And, those vehicles don't come with as many amenities, especially seat adjustment.

That little 1.5 L turbo 4 cyl is strong enough to easily bark the tires and cruise across Texas up into Chicago with no issues of 80+mph. Treat it a little gently and you will still get 38mpg and treating it very gently you will crack 42mpg easily. 175,000 miles on my 2018 so far and zero issues that some videos think they all have.
