The logos definitely a bear. The eye of the bear represents the North Star, which the team use to be called, and the North Star is part of the star constellation Ursa Minor, which means little bear. Ursa Minor is the Little Dipper in the night sky. Imo, this is the most clever, well thought out, and designed logo in all of sports.
The Reverse Retro 1.0 for the Minnesota Wild is VERY hard to find. If you find them, the prices you see them go for is like double, almost triple the price they went for brand new. The Wild’s RR 2.0 isn’t as hard to find, but it seems like you see less of them because the Wild made the design as their new alternate.
Have an idea, since you have gone through most if not all the current NHL teams with the top 3 and worst 3, you think you have enough jerseys to maybe do best and worst 3 of some of the defunct teams?
If I was a Wild fan, I would have to get that State Of Hockey logo. And the Stadium Series looks similar to what they always wear. How close is Phil getting all of the Reverse Retros?
I do really like the jersey, I have the RR2, sadly not the RR1, not sure I would buy the new third because of the patch and different NHL shield though.
NGL as a Wild fan I like the touches and stuff like that but for me it isn't worth the $300 price tag for a name and number off the Hockey Lodge (MN Wild Pro shop) when I already have the 2.0 in BOTH Fanatics and Adidas (also did that for the 1.0). Might be better off looking for the patches to put on there myself later on. With that said, for those who couldn't get the 2.0 Get the alternate because this is a GREAT addition for ANY collector (2.0 or Alt).
With how much they get used (every school day, which I post on the Instagram), I couldn't keep up with that level. It's organized by team on the top rack, bottom rack has the minor leagues on the left, international and my alma mater Mercyhurst on the right, and the Penguins are lower center in chronological order
I think John might have lost a bit of weight since this video. I do like these jerseys a lot, I would say the most unique primary logo in the NHL, and love their colors.
The current Minnesota wild home jersey is so nice. Nostalgia is a disease - the north stars looked fine but I’d argue that their jerseys are a bit garish and that logo is extremely dated and actually not very good. Thinking that the Wild look better in North Stars colours is a very uneducated opinion if you ask me. It looks okay but I think it just looks ‘cheaper’ and it screams change for change sake. In terms of colour and meaning and overall branding I love the current red green and beige. It’s beautiful. Yet here we are again seeing a perfectly good identity fall victim to fan pressure. Almost all of whom have no knowledge of design or colour theory etc.
The contrast is better in the North Stars colors, seems more like a day scene. Idk if that's a good thing, but that's the thought. Agreed on the rest - if the Wild make a permanent change, the NHL officially has a nostalgia problem
@@uglythirds yeah I don’t hate/dislike the north stars colour scheme with the wild uniforms, but it’s not like it’s better imo, it’s just new and different. It’s certainly not so much better than the red and green for them to abandon a 25 year old identity that rocks just to jump on the nostalgia train.

Gotta have the patch!
The reverse retro is very hard to find in adidas..
Lucky how I got a blank RR 2.0 just a few weeks ago from the nhl shop

Most of the defunct teams don't have 6 jerseys, but we'll do a video on each one. After that...
Just ordered it on Adidas yesterday for 40% off!

You can probably find one that is barely worn under $100 if you are patient.
What I want Minnesota to do is use their M secondary logo on the home jersey and put it as the main crest for that 3rd
It would be a solid third
Hell no. That logo blows. There are already too many crappy abbreviation logos as it is.
I wish they would've done something different, but it's great if you missed out on the RR 2.0, which is exquisite!
They should have added some black to it.
Are the jerseys in the closet in any order? Alphabetical and then chronological for each franchise?

Thank you! Idk that the number changes a lot but stuff fits better...I appreciate the kind words!

How do you consider wearing a hockey jersey cosplay? Cosplay is when you dress up like the whole character.
The Minnesota Wild are dressing as the whole character of the Minnesota North Stars. Including the stars on the pants, I stand by my statement
Subway Jersey.
