I have been thinking about ordering the Lidstrom White 2008-09 Power Play Jersey. Any thoughts on it?

one of the concepts looks too much like the all star jersey in stl.

Ordered the Blackhawks jersey as soon as I could. I think this is the best new jersey they have had since that black one. I don’t mind the Blues jersey but not enough to get it. BTW others that reviewed this say the Blues was from a team called the St. Louis Flyers. All future RED team vs BLUE team has to be futuristic with the Blue having the style of R2-D2 and the Red with the style or R5-D4.

@20:55 agreed...with that logo the jerseys make a matched set.

My first thought when the Blues jersey was dropped was how similar it looks to the Blackhawks’ RR 2.0. Both have the city instead of a logo, the wordmark is positioned low closer to your stomach, and the real logo occupies the left shoulder.

The isles jersey from last year had the midriff stripe all the way around why that had it and not these is beyond me

The Blues have been playing like trash for most of the season. So it's only fitting they look like trash on the ice too.

The Blackhawks jersey is kind of cool, but not wildly unique from their standard home jersey. The stripes should have continued around the back though. STL. . . total yawn. If they had just done a crest, it would have been at least a step up. Would like to see some new teams play in the Winter Classic next time.

The St Louis Blues design looks like they’re going back to the 1930s St. Louis Flyers, a team that predates the Blues’ time in the NHL by three decades. The striping across the chest, with the team name across it, seems to be directly inspired by those Flyers uniforms. The snow birds thing makes so much sense with both Florida teams borrowing heavily design wise from the two most popular Canadian teams.

I guess it's a matter of semantics but I owned one of those early Oakland Seals game-worns (Bert Marshall #19 with the "A") and I said on an earlier video that it was forest green. Since I use computer-cut vinyl for the sign industry, the jersey is closer to my forest green vinyl roll than it is to my kelly green vinyl roll, so that's the standard I was going by to label it.

I found this jersey just this april at an antique show in edmonton for $75. The vendor lady saw that i kept looking at it and dropped it from $90 tag. Id always wanted it and always thought it was a transition jersey. Maintaining the blue shoulder bar yoke that it was between eras of oilers jerseys. I liked the copper and navy blue look too. I dont think theres a rubber in the jersey. Its all wrinkled around there because of all the stripe layers all stiched together wrinkling it up. When you look inside of the jersey you dont even see the copper and red but the blue and white all stiched together covering up the other two colors. Always thought ccm made good jerseys.

God, I’d love to see the three of you do a paid promotion for the Hockey HOF or even the NHL one of these days. Also John in regards to that Boston Pizza Pizza Burger, I went there recently and it was discontinued 😭😭😭.

The cougars jersey is interesting to me since nhl uniforms only has this jersey with the 2009 winter classic logo. The jersey in the video uses a different D, photos with both logos can be found back in the day but u don’t see it much with the display jersey logo.

The Thrashers jersey you are wearing is much better than the one you unbagged. It is for the reason you discussed. I acquired an authentic original white home jersey, but have yet to find the original road navy or that "Blueland" alternate.

Sweet video! Thanks for doing this for us jersey nerds. Oh and John, you are correct. That Shane Churla jersey is from the Dallas Stars' first season in the 1993-1994 season. Also correct regarding that first season being the only one that didn't have the Dallas across the top of the logo. And when you met Milton Byron, I knew exactly whom he is and his business. Sure is impressive what he does. I have not bought anything from him to this point... yet. I have to also say that is one dedicated fan who collected Jay Beagle jerseys of every team he played for. Looking forward to Part 2! I actually arranged my work schedule today to take a break when this one was going to air live.

The "phantom yoke" always looks terrible and is RBK Edge 1.0 garbage. The grey isnt different enough from the black for me to accept this not being a "phantom yoke"

As I said before as a Ducks fan I personally think this jersey is just forgettable due to a combination of the jersey being incredibly bland and the Ducks only wearing this for only two seasons (2003-2004 and 2005-2006)

I always have long sleeve t shirts to wear under my hockey jerseys. Especially when they have shorter sleeves

I know I’m being a little nitpicky about the white jersey, but I don’t like the all blue collar. I think it should be black with that blue outline on the top part of the collar just like it is on the black jersey. Also, I prefer the striping on the white jersey than the black jersey. I don’t know why it’s like this but when you look at the striping on the black jersey there space is in between the stripes. I don’t know if it was on purpose, but I just don’t think it was really necessary to space out the stripes.

I much prefer the home jersey - but I think these are extremely underrated!
