A jersey that I've never had in my collection. A prime candidate for the 'team classic' replica jersey range if Fanatics want to continue with that idea - which I hope they do, perhaps next season.

When the Springfield Falcons of the AHL, were affiliated with the Coyotes, they had some kind affiliation night one year and they wore this exact jersey for a game. I had one of the game worn jerseys If I remember right and I sold it years ago. Now while it wouldn't fit the main theme of my collection, part of me wishes I still had it.

The Hartford Wolf Pack just released a 50th anniversary jersey in the style of the Whalers blue jerseys. They were manufactured by Violent Gentlemen but had to put CCM’s logos on it because of the on ice agreement with CCM. The tags are all Violent Gentlemen. Never have seen this done before…. And Whalers fans never hated the Whalers for leaving, we hated Peter Karamanos for doing it.

Columbus and Detroit used to both be in the same division. Columbus always sucked when Detroit was in their formative years so it was never a rivalry.

They should have made a jersey that mimicked the one's that the logo is wearing.

I do not believe you need to get the jersey with the wrong color skate. As a collector who has both the original Phoenix Coyotes home and road jerseys, plus the Adidas Primegreen "retail authentic" Arizona Coyotes ones, I like the updated version better. Sure, it would have been great to have had the city name on the crescent moon logo had the team not changed their name, but they are small differences and not enough to be a dealbreaker. I wasn't a fan of the 25th anniversary customization because it looked terrible on television. There is a lot more I could share with you, but I will leave that for another time.

Not only is the skate the wrong color, but on the on-ice version the outline in between the leg and hockey stick, as well as underneath the left armpit, are missing

As someone from Michigan, I can't believe there's even any question as to the intensity of the Michigan - Ohio State rivalry. Does Penn State have a countdown clock in their locker room counting down until the next time they play Michigan? Does Penn State cover all the letter O's on campus when they play Ohio State like the Buckeyes cover all the M's when they play the Wolverines? Seriously.

I think they are both great, they fit the assignment well by having a Stadium Series aesthetic (big numbers, big logos, big stripes), without being too ridiculous. I do wish Detroit could have tried something a little different, but I am a wordmark hater, so that may just be me. My main critique is that this was an excellent opportunity for a colour on colour game! Red vs. Navy Blue would have totally worked, but the NHL dropped the ball there again, unfortunately.

The NY Raiders were trying to play in the Nassau Colosseum and of course the NHL couldn't have that so the Islanders were created and the Raiders ended up signing on to play in MSG under draconian conditions. So much so that in 1973-74 they revamped the team into the NY Golden Blades which had some of the worst uniforms of the fledgling league. By mid season they moved to Cherry Hill, NJ and became the Jersey Knights(I have a Knights jersey) meaning in less than 2 years the WHA was out of the largest media market. In fact at the start of the new league there were teams in Philadelphia, NY, LA, and Chicago. By the end of the 1975 season the league was out of all 4 markets. They were doomed after that. I'm a WHA freak and if you have read The Rebel League you really need to.

Columbus - nice jersey, needs some silver in the collar to break up all that blue, logo looks HUGE probably wont be very comfortable to wear maybe and yep would be a great re-brand home jersey. Detroit - meh, very very meh for me. Could they not try something a little different - like a sublimated wing on the large red section of the sleeves. And that 'PR' about the stitching - that's a bit of a stretch.........

Those stripes and the entire Reebok era was just terrible! Though maybe in 20 years they’ll all come back into fashion…

I was waiting eagerly for this video yesterday! John is 100% right about the rivalry I didn’t say the name of that state til I was 13. Penn state is embarrassing and certainly not our #1 rival even when they had a better chance of beating us than TTUN did. I read that there are buckeyes in the back of the collar for the stadium series but I didn’t see them myself

I’m a fan of both, not big on the stripe down the middle of the RW helmet but I get what they were doing there. Both are unique, I do like the CBJ shoulder patch, and I would consider this the 2nd best CBJ jersey, the cannon logo on the current 3rd takes my top spot still.

Gotta disagree with John about the baseball look, the script font is akin to university of Michigan and msu hockey jerseys

Honestly love these both. Always wondered why CBJ didn't move to that blue third as their primary for years but this stadium series jersey is gorgeous! I'm a wings fan so really like ours as well - the helmets give me asterix vibes!

Side note, I like the Al the Octopus tag on their jersey. I just saw a close in picture of the red wings sleeves. Looks like there’s some rubber material or something on them Wife: it’s 5am, what are you watching? Me: uhhh nothing… 😂

Boston Centennial game was pre-order, and then just never bothered with delivering Marchand which appear to have only been sold at the Boston pro-shop
