    Back in the 90s I could walk into any JCPenney and they would have every team Jersey in stock. Westfarms Mall in Connecticut even had a stand alone Penney’s sports store next to the main anchor store for a while. That was also the Starter era.

    It does seem like the Fanatics Specialty jersey have improved DRAMATICALLY over the last few seasons (Heritage WC SS ETC) and if this is the case, then my mind will be more at ease moving into next season. Just hope they can keep it up and keep improving not just the specialty jerseys, but all jerseys moving forward to more of the specialty jersey quality (cause honestly Phil is correct as a bigger man myself [size 56-60 in Adidas xl-2xl in Fanatics] the Fanatics fit the best and with more consistency.) I just hope with the rest of the jerseys moving forward and when Fanatics officially takes over next summer, the quality is at that level for the replica/ authentic line (depending on what they call it) or better (especially if they sell MiC's as well to the retail like Reebok Edge did)

    Thank you for that VGK Fanatics vs Adidas comparison. I had been hoping to see that online…you are the first I found. Well done.

    Not a big fan of fanatics but I’m also not a big fan of the adidas price

    The differences between the Vegas Adidas and Fanatics seem more noticeable than the differences between Seattle’s. The biggest differences to me are the Vegas Fanatics has the darker gold and a totally different front collar than the Adidas.

    Thanks for the comparison now I know to go with the Fanatics because it’s not that big of a difference plus I love the way of Fanatics fits, especially better on the skin than Adidas does.

      Good! Personally, I'm very happy with my Fanatics choice, no matter what the haters say

    Somehow the fanatics winter classic jerseys have decent logos

    My take away has become, wear the fanatics ones to the games, leave the more authentic ones for special occasions. I’d feel less guilty if one got something spilled on it, or whatever…

      Honestly, I think that's part of the appeal lol

    Is it me or does the gold on the shoulders / arm striping of the Vegas jersey look a shade (or 2) darker on the Fanatics than on the Adidas jersey? I'm getting both just before Christmas so they may arrive just after the game is played, they will both be blanks (and Adidas).

    • @uglythirds
      @uglythirds  11 месяцев назад +1

      It IS ever so slightly darker, the white and the gold. hard to quantify because it's likely just the difference in fabrics, but it is just a shade darker

    Hey guys I just got my new adidas Whalers jersey and there was a rip in the package, so there is a small grey mark/stain on the jersey. How would you suggest cleaning it? It is about the size of a thumb and not super visible, but I want to get it out. Thanks guys!

    • @uglythirds
      @uglythirds  11 месяцев назад +1

      Ooh, that's tough because you don't know what it is. It didn't come out with a normal wash? Options that escalate from there: spot treat it before washing, add Borax to the wash, soak it in water with oxy-clean. If it doesn't work by then, it's not coming out

    Why are you people still questioning what the fanatics jerseys will be like? They are going to be EXAXTLY the same as the adidas jerseys are now. They are even going to be in the same factories, probably even the same staff. Fanatiscs will just have two levels of jerseys, just like reebok used to.

      John here - I think I'm well known around here as a major fanatics apologist, and I don't mind saying that Fanatics' quality has dropped quite a bit since they've started. Everything is pressed on now when it was originally printed and stitched. In my video about putting a patch on a Fanatics Kings jersey, I noticed differences over the years. Looking at Mitchell and Ness and their heat-pressed logos, there are definitely reasons to be fearful of how bad it can get.

    • @DarkHorse902

      @@uglythirds breakaway jerseys will stay the same, and their "authentics" will be the same as the adidas indos. That's my prediction. No point in worrying until they prove otherwise.

    • @uglythirds
      @uglythirds  10 месяцев назад +1

      @@DarkHorse902 I think the replicas are going to be like Mitchell and Ness, I hope the authentics aren't like current Fanatics. But you're right, no sense in panicking yet

    John, as usual, trying to impose his will convince the world on the wonderment of Fanatics............you're cheap- face it

    • @uglythirds
      @uglythirds  11 месяцев назад +2

      Phil had to buy another one because the 56 was a full size smaller than every other Adidas jersey out there.
      I AM cheap, but I'm also not happy with Adidas quality

    • @slapsshot
      @slapsshot 11 месяцев назад +1

      @@uglythirds Your reviews are too biased.......you point out flaws with Adidas because you personally dont like them, yet present the Fanatics as the answer.....they are inferior to Adidas but you'll get your chance next year to ring the Fanatics quality bell for their on ice jerseys

    • @uglythirds
      @uglythirds  11 месяцев назад +1

      @@slapsshot Phil likes Adidas and tries to buy only their product. Schrembs refuses to buy fanatics. That's why it's not a one-man operation. Do I highlight fanatics? Yes, because I think people ought to know when the cheaper product is worthwhile, and sometimes it is. You see everything, and if you want to know about something more specific, we're happy to answer questions

    This kraken winter classic jersey is beautiful! I just got mine, Fanatic version and tried it on. It fits perfectly . As a 5.9 180lbs guy. I recommend people my height to get the fanatics version because the Adidas version will fit you like a summer dress!
    If you are above 6 feet tall then the adidas version will fit you fine.
    Just leaving my two cents 🏒

      You're not wrong! It's such a weird cut, and so tight in the chest but so billowy at the hem... honestly, fanatics could make some real improvements there
