I loved your video. For the outdoor shots I was not really impressed. For the Timberland, I would have used a polarizer filter to avoid reflection on the lensball surface. But for your indoor studio I was trully impressed and inspired!!! For the custom print and studio lights shot was very breathtaking and inspirational. For the Fireball, was also impressive, just be careful when "playing with fire " or you may end burning your house!!!

These can easily start a fire! Always put them away from the sun or where the sun will be. I knew a dude who set his car ablaze by leaving it out!
Yes
I now have the balls to use the spheres i purchased 2 years ago. It is definitely time to use them... the spheres.
Two spheres stacked together create a condenser and if a diaphragm put between them a Toepler ocular is created - it is used in Schlieren photography (en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Schlieren_photography). One can see very interesting effects!

24-70 mm works good and gives a lot of options.
Different lenses will have different minimum focus distances which will give you a variety of results!

I'm working on getting some shots of trees
Please shine a beam of white light on your glass sphere and make a rainbow.
If you will pass a beam of white light perpendicular to the diameter at the centre and if yiu place a screen behind it you would probably get to see a rainbow without rain or Sun.
You could use it for decorating purposes and other uses
After being successful please make a video of it and show us alll.
