  • Living beach side was a dream of mine and a passion of mine was always being on the water. I love the freedom of cruising about the water. Every since we bought the property I slowly started gathering boats and water activity equipment here. The house project stopped all of that and put things on hold. Now that the house is in its finishing stages I am wasting no time to making my dream of being on the water a reality.
    Today I bring the Yamaha Enduro 25 HP outboard out of storage after 4 years sitting. Maybe the carbs will need to be rebuilt. Maybe the ignition system has failed after sitting so long. Is my old gas with 2 stroke oil in it soured like fuel does so fast in the USA? Let's find out.
    We are a Fil Am couple sharing our lives between living in Texas USA and Panay Island Philippines. We share dealing with two different cultures, building our solid concrete cast in place home beach side and exploring/ seeking new things. We hope you enjoy and join to be a apart of a bigger family here on this channel.
    Thank you for being apart of our channel and lives.

    James, you may need to check the water pump impeller because I notice no water was weeping out of the engine

    Outboards are almost indestructible. I’ve pulled them out of garages that they have been sitting for a 10 years and a little fuel and a new plug and they fire up right now. You got a great deal on that motor for sure.

    You need check the pomp water. The barril of water is very down, and the pomp isn't work. Be careful with the enging temp.

    Nice work, a little ether and vroom. I noticed other commenters on the water flow coming out of the motor, i agree, should be a steady stream.

    I have a cv30. looks just like this one. Mine was pumping water but no pee stream. There is a hole under the bottom doesnt even look like an indicator outlet. yours looks plugged if you stick a drill bit in it youll get a stream!!

    it seems to me that the water coming from the pump should have been a little stronger stream. I could be wrong, and it works fine. but all and all, it sounds good.

    A nice engine that runs great James. Yes always check fuel lines and everything that could be a problem before starting, so it doesn’t cause you more problems in the end. Good video, and Motmot is becoming a Jack of all trades with your teaching him.😊

    **smiles as he watches James take a second shower for the day** It's good to see that the fuel isn't all gummed up after that time. Do you know if they used some type of fuel stabilizer on the stuff in the red fuel container? Now we need to see what you are going to put that in!!!

      There was no they it was just me and no stabilizer. The fuel is not alcohol laden junk like USA has been for years

    Kumusta Po ? Hope you and Capps & assorted crew are having a great day .
    James I'm not going to say your water coming from your water pump is not correct I'm sure you already know that lmao 🤣
    The mariner outboards I had had a lot stronger stream coming out from under the
    Cowling I guess that's where your Yamaha comes out at I'm not familiar with the Yamaha outboards only mariner & Mercury
    I'm sure that would be plenty big to limp back to the bank with if the diesel ever stops . Much respect to you sir Mabuhay & God Bless QUESTION == Hey Po if you had the starter Fluid spray on hand like I just seen you spray the little outboard with why
    Didn't you spray the Diesel with it the other day when it was being so stubborn about firing ?????

  • @georgiabassodyssey7604
    @georgiabassodyssey7604 Год назад +2

    Clear your water line from the manifold to the pee hole. Probly got a bug or wasp crawl up in it. You got water coming out yor upper exhaust so your impeller pump is working. Get some good gas ASAP or you gonna be pulling a carb. 3 years is to old. Run a stabilizer in your fuel especially if you are goning to use it only for a emergency kicker. It might look good but 3 year gas gonna gum and clog your jets.

    Hey James, I just Bought what I believe is a 25hp Yamaha enduro. The decals are missing from the cowling. Model number E25A. I'm not sure how it made its way to South Alabama. are parts still available for these?

    • @TexasFilipino
      @TexasFilipino  Год назад +1

      Yes that is the Enduro- yes parts are available. Write me a email to Jamesray080808@gmail.com and I will send you the pdf manual to that motor.

  • @builtnotboughtmadeinphilip3955

    James the cooling systems not cooling. 1. Maybe not enough water to fill in bucket. Needs to come up to intake on bottom near the plate.
    2. Impeller is sitting so long, its not werking, it gets brittle and can always be permanently bent and like an old pair if windshield wipers, not werking good.
    3. This is the very worse common problem with saltwater use outboards and ive had a lot of Yamaha. The water not coming or pissing out from the engine, do not run must check the impeller, check. The tubing going to cylinder head, check. The hole pluged at exit of pee hole or tubing to the per hole.
    Last and verry worse is the cylinder head cooling passageways are full of salt. Youll have to split the top end and rod out the passageways. Ive done it. Takes a little time. When they put away wet with salt water use it happens. You may not have seen from his videos not werking and he didnt say. But they not werking now. I always glush my motors with Saltaway

      Pumping water fine. I have ran it even a hour at a time with staying nice,cool and steadily pumping water. The pee hole peeing. Of course when I first cranked it there it needed to blow some air and trash out.
