I HAVE BEEN A BUILDING AND COMMUNITY DESIGNER ALL MY LIFE AND I THINK THAT GUY DID GOOD.
What is the monthly rent payment to rent a lot ? 🏠
D.E 303- A new, low cost, home buildable, solar electric concentrator. Totally agree.
Can you do some videos on tiny houses in this park. Families who stay full time and also nightly rental tiny houses
This is really a nice place.
I can't wait until tiny home communities are everywhere. This is brilliant.
An upgrade from the trailer park.
Beautiful....love to visit! 😷
@@D73GT CA loves stealing RVs from the homeless.
I feel they should be allowed everywhere, after all tiny homes were not only meant for minimalist living, but as an alternative for affordable housing as well.
Go to a third world country!
This is a actually mobile home community with unusual tiny homes and some vintage Airstreams plus shared living spaces located in a beautiful area along the Oregon coast. Give the owner credit for his vision of creating a nice community. Not for everybody but still well done.
Would love to live here!
This is really cool, kudos to you sir! You have taken the old trailer park concept to a new and impressive level. I am adding this to my list of- Gotta Visit Places!
You just re worded it. There are more tiny homes than “mobile homes” no? So therefore it’s a tiny home community with other options as well. Why so finicky? You should stay, you’d kick yourself for being so cynical
xo vazquez 😮😱😂
Wrong@3:00 go listen again
bless this man’s heart and soul, he is so thoughtful of the tiny home residents making all sorts of accommodations! How wonderful if this world has more people like him!
I've never fully grasped how a government can dictate what you can build on your property when they build whatever they want on theirs......
Under common Law you can do what ever you want and if gov. tries to stop you, 100 k fine and 10 years in jail. Find a Common law attorney and ask for a pure business trust.
@@Scottybeammeup2 Hahaha yeah right. People constantly get forced off their land for violating zoning laws.
@@John-ik2eg Flex those cringe skills
Deborah Flowers Exactly, governmemts do have that profit mindset. It is affecting everything. If community sites like this get too popular, they will soon start to find ways to make us pay more for this type of living also. It is so wrong.
Because when you don't have building codes people do the cheapest possible job in order to make the most money. Subpar all around. Remember Haiti after the earthquake? Half there buildings were falling apart anyway. One natural disaster and the entire country collapses.
I’d love to see entire neighborhoods or even towns where residential areas are nothing but tiny homes, well kept of course, with vegetable gardens and fruit trees all over.
@Daniella Thoelen they need to move away from the rental model. I'd like to see communities where you can buy the land. I'm not sure if that's practical but I like the idea.
I love the tiny home communities and would love to live in one. I am 65 and love the idea of a community garden and gathering places.I am so excited to see this. LOVE IT!!!!!!!😁
Come to SW Philly...I'll show you thousands of them...
To me, I think that would work as long as there is some kind of HOA or CCnRS or some kind of rules in place for a minimum standard. I mean, because you don't want to live right next to someone who trashes their yard, I mean I'm sure some people have no problem with that, but not me.
Thank you. The concept of creating a place for a community to grow, is marvelous. Historically, people gathered into communities to provide physical, emotional, spiritual & resource support to each other. We have lost this concept and the world is less lovely because of the loss.
That’s because others are too lazy and are happy to rely on others without making any contributions 😜
So true. We need to remember that we all bleed red. Love thy neighbor as thyself. 💖
@@karennewman4429 I think it's fine, I mean the one thing that can ruin a neighborhood or community or whatever you have, is one or two bad neighbors, ugh The wrong person can really poison the experience for everybody else.
@@kbanghart absolutely Agreed.
Yes . Well put The emphasis is on the triumph of the individual , only , with no consideration for co-creating a shared reality and repairing the world as in Tinkun Olam. Cheers and G'day from Australia mate 🇦🇺.
Municipalities and states should be promoting this kind of living.
In Socal, they love to tear these places down. Even if the homeless are occupying them...
@@KJ-nv9uz So glad I moved out of state instead of Socal (from san fran). What a creepy, arrogant place...
How would municipalities and states collect taxes and revenue from this kind of living ?
There's no money in it . Besides, it's really no different than homes on leasehold land.
No we should do it without them
@@scrumtrellecent well they still would collect the taxes on the land, and people living in these would still be paying for the local infrastructure ie sewers, electricity and the like.
Wow! This guy is AWESOME! Its obvious he really cares about and is dedicated to his tiny community. He's goes all out to make it a wonderful and unique places for his tenants. What an AWESOME guy!
I can see this idea becoming the way of the future...
This is definitely the best tiny home community I've seen. I can definitely see this as how it should be done. I wonder how expensive it is to stay here.
That's what I want.
@@pamacons It's $600 a month plus electricity.
Most towns won't allow. Gov't doesn't want people living like this
I don't see why the Government wouldn't like them ? Mobile Home/Trailer parks have been around for years.
California and North Carolina have plenty of them as I recall.
These are just smaller versions than those, I reckon it's all in how well You sell the idea.
If I were to be alone, I’d want to live in a tiny home community. It’s a real need here in America. You’ve done this right. So many places to get together while giving extra space to separate their own homes. I LOVE what you’ve done. A fan in Florida!
He’s done it perfect.
I am alone, and this looks great. A chance to have company when you want, and your own place when you prefer.
@Rusty Shackelford well (apart from that daft theory)-I agree that "my overlords" live on rich estates. some people always have , and I can see no reasonable way to change it , it just seems to change which people are the overlords. Given that I have problems walking, standing, breathing etc it might be nice to live in a place I could look after myself, while still having people around. I could , of course, shuffle out of the way to a "sheltered" place where my overlords would be the ones to decide bath time or what I would have for lunch, but this seems better.
Or I could try to become an overlord and order others to wait on me as I command...Nah- I think I'll stick with this place. Looks good.
@Rusty Shackelford "...YOU live in a coffin, while your overlords live on grand estates...." Maybe I live in a tiny home by choice? Grand estates require lots of upkeep, which in turn, requires lots of money, in which the constant pursuit of it, takes away from the multitude of pleasures life has to offer. This community gives me plenty of ideas for something similar in British Columbia. I'd be careful though Rusty as the way the owner talks (with all the free stuff and community gardens etc.) sounds like a variant of Socialism. You may not want to live here. Maybe get yourself an estate instead and let the rest of us like-minded folks enjoy this little piece of Heaven.
If you ever go out to Oregon, stay there. It’s the best place I’ve stayed, honestly. Also, hello neighbor✌🏼 -a fan in Georgia
This is possibly one of the best ideas of all time. I'm so in favor of tiny home parks.... they should be everywhere, in every state, in every county. I've dreamed of doing this on my own but I don't have the money to get it started so it's exciting when I see other people doing this. There needs to be more tiny home parks and villages.
Thank you, Jenna for finding this tiny home village. Seeing your video has really made my day.
@@John-ik2eg You have my attention. Please continue

@@John-ik2eg sounds great. Wonderful. I'm sure many people would like to be part of this.
What an incredible vision he has brought to fruition.
Yes he has.
Back in my day such settlements were known as trailer parks... Nothing new under the sun...
WESTEL Audio thought I was the only one that noticed that lol
While the houses are nice, the question is, how is this concept different than a trailer park? Isn't it the same thing re branded?
@@brendabrenda6843 Trailer parks typically lack these community aspects, such as the gardens, kitchens, etc. This seems designed to foster community. Also, traditional mobile home parks usually involve a purchased home that can typically never be moved, meaning you're stuck or have to sell at a loss. John Oliver did a great show on them. These homes are actually mobile.
I’m so impressed! The gentleman who bought this place has really put a lot of thought into this wonderful place! It’s not just a bunch of tiny homes but rather a real community of spacious lots with tiny homes plus some shared facilities to enhance community living such as tiny library, heated gathering room where everyone can get together & get to know each other, a TV room, etc with even a place with all kitchen facilities that could be needed & may not exist in an owner’s tiny home! They even have a few beautiful tiny home rentals that are available, wow! All within walking distance of the ocean & relaxing shoreline to enjoy! I think 🤔 it’s a little bit of paradise for those lucky enough to live there! The owner of this paradise has been very selective about not only spacious lots & tiny homes but also what facilities are to go into this wonderful place! You are to be congratulated for creating this amazing place!
John ? Don’t understand, sorry
I'm so glad I found other people who thinks/feels the way I do. I don't have a clue how to start something like this, but watching others do it not only gives me ideas, but motivation to get the information.
I think this takes a lot of patience, and a lot of capital. Because you can get the planning process started with The local government, but then if they decide to pull the plug and deny you, you're screwed, and then maybe you can pull out of it without losing too much money hopefully.
I’m so happy to see this sort of park finally being developed. It’s very much needed. I hope he is able to continue to build more and that they become a model for parks across the country.
This is perfect! I love how he considered every possible way to make this a true community. I love the extra space for each lot but included the additional areas for gatherings or just when you need something you don't have in your own tiny home. And the library ♥ . Everything is there the residents might need. It's an idea situation. Even for us introverts.
I agree
the tiny home movement. making living in a trailer park look cool since 2010
it might be a scam! those trailers are not cheap at all.
@@eduardochavacano well the lot rent is like $600, that might be cheap for some
A book or website should be put together to explain what you had to do with the planning department to build this site. This would be very helpful for others who are going to construct tiny houses. More tiny houses are going to be built to house the homeless.

Very impressive… Josh’s vision tenacity and creativity shine in this village! He’s thought of everything and really created a place catering to community. I’m at retirement age but my husband’s not ready to retire quite yet. We are on the California coast but I would love to live in Josh’s tiny village! ❤️
I’ve had a similar dream for many years! It’s cool to see others have been successful
I absolutely love this place and the concept, with community gardens and common spaces! There need to be more of these communities for those of us who want to downsize and live more simply in a tiny home but don't want to deal with the uncertainty of WHERE to park legally. I would absolutely love to retire somewhere like this one day.
I hope more communities adopt this amazing soulful way of living! LOVE this! ❤️ This is what you call a labour of love!
I’m so glad you did this I have been talking about this with my husband for 5 years now. This is great you have the same ideas I wanted it for seiners You are amazing. Well done thank you
Are you still thinking about it? Are you going to try to move to some place like this, or have your own place somewhere?
The owner has really gone above and beyond the call to include a variety of shared common space, with features that are not just nice, but motivate community. It's small scale, hand crafted and personal. Impressive!
I'm a very private person so this would not work for me but I love how many are thriving in this beautiful place!
I’m super private and everyone here is respectful of that. A community feels safe. I’m not a hermit but I’d be allowed if I wanted!
@A Tangerine I also require outdoor privacy.

Yes, love everything he has done.
Love this. I’d like to see this type of living community expand nationwide. Just beautiful💓
The breathing space between the homes is great. When I see them packed in it tells me the mindset of the owner which isn't good. I love all the amenities - garden etc. LOVE the shared living space, Wow free laundry.
this reminds me of the old days when people had tiny tiny cottages on Cape Cod. They were often on skids and were pushed back for the winter and then brought forward towards the beach in the summer.
Yes I think I've seen this also in other places, for example Lake Tahoe out west here, there are old railroad tracks built all the way down into the water, where people would bring the structures down or boats.
You've done it again, Jenna!! What a wonderful tiny house community! It's so inspiring to see this young man bring his dream to fruition. I just love the concept of the community meeting and recreation places. This truly looks like a delightful place to live. BIG thumbs up!! 🤗
More of these communities are needed all across the US.
As an artist, I would love to live in a community like this. I love my home, and my studio though. My neighborhood has writer’s, artists, and wood workers. So I’m very lucky to live here.

This is fantastic! What a great idea! Oregon is very far from where I live in Tennessee. I would LOVE to visit Tiny Tranquility. All of the facilities that encourage community are wonderful. As a newly retired person, I envision this as also a great, more affordable housing option for seniors.
Congratulations, Josh! What a great community you gathered. It was so thoughtful of you to provide the large shared spaces. It's all very beautiful and charming.

This is basically what I started fund raising for ! This is great to see my vision working. I feel so happy t see I have back up when I tell people my vision. LOVE IT ! They have a couple other options too but the homes, gardening, shared food/work for it, work space, greenhouses....all in my idea.
Fits the definition of a “community” perfectly. Beautiful.
Wonderful place! I'd love to be a part of that community. Great job on the planning and upkeep! Thanks for sharing
This is such an incredible place. So happy they were able to overcome the original obstacles and create their community:)
This is great! It reminds me a little of a community I lived in for about five years, until for the first time we moved into a house, that we decided how we wanted built, from the basement up. I missed our 8 by (technically) 36. Missed the steady and seasonal but regular people passing through, as well as people we only knew for a little while. I also missed the extra deep well water. Unlike most of the rest of the state it was the best water ever. This place touches my heart, in that way.
This is exactly what I've been dreaming of! I hope more communities like this pop up all over!
While many dream of having a tiny home in a secluded rural place, I can vouch that after forty years, acreage can be more upkeep than you wanted in your old age. This park is a fantastic alternative. Being from Florida, where the coastlines are one big concrete condo, I was astounded to see space and trees between the homes. The owner seems to have thought about EVERYthing TH folks need, like a community garden, library, grills, a real kitchen for holiday cooking, bicycles, storage, TV room, and big open places to go and breathe when it rains for weeks. And that freakin' ocean five minutes away !!!!!
Just love, love, these homes the idea of life in such a community is wonderful, its up to them to live the idealic life by being truly a community helping each other and sharing. The food growing and sharing is an excellent idea. Wow, young man I just love your heart. HAPPY DAYS!!

This man, along with my sweet husband, made my birthday. It was one of the most special weekends of my life. The community was virtually empty at the time, just a few people living there, & a few other “campers” Josh was so kind, welcoming, and truly peaceful. We were able to pick micro greens & other yummy veggies, cook and enjoy ourselves, it really was the nicest place we have stayed over the years traveling up and down the coast, and now we travel the east coast.. we would be so lucky to have Josh create little communities all over the country💙 I am so so so happy to see his tiny home community is thriving, and getting shine via your video. As a single mom, I've dreamed of such a setup for single mothers to help each other... to pool resources a bit and live in very small pod spaces outside of a common larger building... perhaps the "commune" could do a childcare staffed by some full-time residents... perhaps someone (like myself, now at an older age) as a grandmotherly type, running the farmhouse kitchen for everyone... Of course, if others want to cook, there's a world of opportunity for sharing that space, too!

I mean the idea is revolutionary, co-living is the approach mainly needed by a lot of cities...
I agree this is nice, I think maybe one possible obstacle might be if you are ready to move out of there and resell it, it might be tough to find a buyer, but maybe not, I really don't know. Also, any place I move to has to have decent internet lol.
I’d never want a mortgage if I could live in my tiny house forever.

I am so glad this popped up on You Tube. I live in Oregon and had never heard of it. Just booked a stay for my upcoming birthday!
Be sure to come back and give us a review. I imagine the communal spaces would kind of be the equivalent to a lobby in a hotel. I think that is what makes it so nice, really.
We have stayed here twice now in two of the tiny homes. The tiny homes are spotless and the kitchens well stocked with everything needed. The Azalea tiny home has had an attractive, large deck built at the side of the home since this video was done. At night you can hear the ocean off in the distance. We enjoy Tiny Tranquility so much that we already have one of the vintage trailers booked for our next stay. The common areas are as nice as shown in the video. It is so peaceful here and such a great location on the coast. This has become my happy place to get away and relax.

I'm glad these communities now have a positive vibe. My dad was a builder, so I grew up in a beautiful passive solar home that he designed and built. The guy I dated in high school grew up in a 1980's version of a tiny home, and people put him down for living there. That's the place I've been looking at! I was coming to visit Oregon coast this summer. I can't now due to the pandemic, but I will! I've never been. I would love to retire there I think.
I did. And I couldn’t be happier.
Oregon is opening up quickly. Why not call them and ask for a tour?
We've been through Waldorf but long before this park came to being. I love everything you've done....I love the Oregon coast...thank you
This is a great video !! Kudos to Josh for his wonderful, great vision and putting in a lot of hardwork to make it happen !
I live near Portland and had no idea this existed. So cool!

Downtown Portland has tiny house rentals for you to see if this lifestyle could work for you👍🏻
So cool. I wish they’d bring these to the Midwest
There are a few of these in the Portland metro area afaik. City supposedly has more forgiving zoning laws than others do when it comes to that (but it doesn't extend across the bridge to Vancouver).
More tiny home parks needs to be the cry in America!!! Excellent concept & design! Thanks for bringing us this video ... looking forward to next week as well:)
@@flyingsteel It sounds GREAT!!!
What's the difference between an RV park and a TH park?
Stuart Sutherland many communities still have confusion over housing & build codes for tiny houses. This means many won’t allow tiny homes. As an RV park, Josh says the homes all have at least National RV certification.
I agree, America is falling apart right now so you might get your wish.
it's really no different than homes on leasehold land.
Love the concept of tiny homes but this has just taken it to a whole different level. Awesome 👏🏻👏🏻
This is superb. I've had the idea myself to build a tiny home community in Australia. So great to see someone actually do it and for it to be so wonderful and successful. A big pat on the back to the guy who made it happen.
Did you build one? Where?
@@jilllangman9343 Nope, haven't built one or been involved with one.
I hope his great inspirational tiny park starts to catch on everywhere - wonderful alternative for folks!
The thought you've put in is exceptional, it's got a lovely atmosphere.
Best part is the greenery in the garden love the sense of community so u dont feel so alone as single person
Such excellent work and layout of this park, love the whole project. So good that the greenhouse was repurposed this way!
