  • It's hard to get a good recording with a puppy playing just outside your sightline.
    This serious and yet playful prelude takes off with a bang. I added a few flexibly timed spots to articulate the phrasing and musical ideas while playing with the scherzo energy and tumbling forward in places.
    The dynamics are my choice, as Bach didn't include them and I'm using the Henle Urtext edition to read from. It's one of my favourite Bach pieces. Definitely it's a challenge to place each and every note with clarity and intention. This will do for now, as I have other pieces on my wish list to learn better and post.
