I wasn't looking for this per se, but am always looking for LGBTQ short films. RUclips suggested watching and I enjoyed it. I kept hoping their would be more. A continuation perhaps?

"What? You thought you were special?" What a devastating line. And yet, Luke is the one who finds the real magic by overcoming his sorrow. Ultimately, Carl is the one who is shallow, who does tricks. Doves, yet! He needs the wand to focus. By using the tears as the source of his magic and his way of overcoming the sorrow and turning it into joy not only for himself but others, Luke made a powerful point about all our lives. Amazing set decoration, costumes, music, camera work, editing; believable acting. Thanks to the diverse group of filmmakers who collaborated to make a film with universal meaning. This is one of the best short films I have ever seen.

This is one of the only LGBT+ films I have seen so far where the main protagonist is able to obtain their own happy ending that is defined by themselves and not in the context of their romantic relationship. I love how this breaks the stereotypes.
In 16 minutes we learn SELF ACCEPTANCE, LOVE and MAGIC 💕😭 and it is so damn beautiful.

This is soooooo good. The snowflakes melted my Scrooge-like heart. Luke has outgrown Carl's games and found better magic. The music, cinematography, acting...all superb. Thank you for this warm movie.

I swear these shorts got more substance than the majority of feature films. Very powerful. ❤️
Breathtakingly beautiful and a rare gem for this has a Soul in it. It need not be a gay love story or shades of it but the story of any one of us, who found courage, strength, confidence and faith in hinself and his abilities to rise above tbe Odds. This brings back painful memories from when I was a teenager. But the magic of human ability to overcome, thrive and love again is not a “trick”. I still find it difficult to hear the young man’s heart break. Beautiful short film. Well done!

In my younger playing around and dating days I never thought about the broken hearts I left behind. This one made me think. What few men I was with in my wilder times have remained friends but I wonder if I broke a heart now. My husband of 20 years looked just like Luke in his younger days, so soft and caring. We both enjoyed this and it sparked a nice romantic night. We are older and tougher and now so it was a nice break to see the softer side of life for a little while. Thanks for the spark, and some pretty men to look at. Good job.

Why did it felt like a Disney movie yet it didn't because Disney has never made a gay love story quite like this or unrequited love story... Moral of the story... Love can be magical and magic exists all over, we are magic, no one can take your magic unless u let them...it's up to u to unlock your true gifts for the world to see... Don't let dark magicians enchant u because they can take ur magic that makes u shine ... They only wanna use u and when they are tired of u they'll simply dispose of u like an old trick that has no use for them... Ur real magic, the one that makes us wake up everyday with a smile, no one can truly take that away because a real magician sees right through all tricks...

One of the most perfect short films I've ever seen, not just in LGBTQ Genre, but in all Genres. Well done and a magnificent job in reminding the feelings that I had years ago (a little bit today as well) when I wanted to be with someone but for many "normal" reasons it couldn't be possible, at least for that time being. Wonderful and magnificent. The music selection and the theatrical performances of the actors were just amazing. Well done many many times.

Beautifully made. The mark of a great story is if it is able to convey feelings and emotions that are universal to us all regardless of where you might live, your history or social status etc. This perfectly captured that time in your life as a newly minted “adult” when you are trying to discover who you are and your place in the world. That lack of confidence due to uncertainty about how life works whilst at the same time being exposed to new and exciting experiences as well as learning to deal with disappointment and loss. The main protagonist is gay but regardless of your orientation i think we can all relate to that crushing moment when you discover that perfect person you became enamoured with isn’t actually so perfect but then learning how to get back up and moving forward . Bravo.
