I recently bought this car in the RS trim, and I love it!!! I went from a Traverse down to this, trying to downsize. Plenty of room for a family of four or five. It is a Zippy car! Trunk space is perfect for me, enough room for my son’s, big catchers baseball bag. It’s been great for me!
We just ordered a white Activ for our daughter! Loaded! She’ll be 16 in October and the plan is for this vehicle to take her thru high school and college!! She absolutely loves the sporty look of this car. And the inside is loaded with extras!! And we loved the safety features. Praying it comes in by OCT!! Thanks for the review!
I am very surprised at how good this thing seems to be! May I suggest looking into your mic set up though, the audio is a little inconsistent. Your videos are all very helpful for families, we used your review to help us find our last car when we found out we were expecting a third.
Great review! I'm not a "teen" more last of the old boys, but I just bought one! For the price the value is amazing. Be Best for couples if it's a long drive I guess. Looks like it will be a great commuter.
I would love to know in each of your subcompact suv vids if 3 car seats will fit . All of your car reviews are AWESOME just need more info on 3 car seats 🥰 I’m debating on getting rid of my ‘16 sequoia for something more economical 😅
With all my respect to your video and info and hard work but there is a huge mistake! When i decided to buy the activ trim according to the info in this video the car you are reviewing is 27k not 24995 k which comes without sunroof/mobile wireless charger/and adaptive cruise controls
You should consider a used car, almost every single teen wrecks their first car (even if they're a good driver and it's not their fault). Don't waste your money on a brand new car just get them a used one for them to learn and make mistakes in and then once they get older you can get them a new one (or by then they can maybe buy themselves one). Not my decision, just a recommendation from me
Everyone keeps saying over and over that this is a kid's car. I'm a grown man and it just keeps getting me back and forth to work just fine. I don't know how... just crazy... Many kids drive cars super hard and have no clue about proper maintenance, a very bad combination for a tiny hard working engine like this..
yea i was about to get this one but after test-driving jetta went with it instead. Not only it feels better in every way but you get 4 cylinder 8 speed automatic instead of 3 cyl 6 speed and I paid 22k for 2024 Jetta witch is 3k cheaper than this Trax. Also, the digital tachometer is way more customizable on my base model jetta than the one on fully loaded Activ trax.
Yes but extremely tight and only the quick attachments tabs on either side not in the middle you’d have to go through the seat belt. I think for three across you would be better getting a larger car.
Actually believe it or not there are teens that are not your average rich white boy that begs their parents for a bmw that they’re gonna total in less then a month.
@@sweaner So get a 10 year old Volvo for half the price and call it good. Absolutely ridiculous that people think a teen needs a 2024 car to hold their hand in the name of safety. Teach your kid proper driving habits and defensive driving techniques instead of relying on car technology which isn't perfect
Most cars suvs etc have a teen driver option but, this car is definitely not just for teens, I'm in my 30s and ordered the 1rs version of the traxs, I got it due to it having everything I needed plus is was inexpensive compared to what else I was looking at.
@dragoon666 it's definitely more affordable than other options for sure, I'm prettys sure I seen one tje other day and it looks small. Is it roomy in there?

I have the very same reaction to this video as @jackmcgee5331 (see below)-- how many parents have the scratch to buy their teenage kid a brand new car-- even an entry level car like this? I realize they're out there, but it doesn't reflect the economic means that I came from when I was kid. I suspect that same is true for most families today. Throw in sales tax, insurance, licensing/registration and maintenance on top of the purchase price, and we're talking some serious bucks (at least for me, anyway). It also says something that a lack of vents directed at the back seat and the lack of a power liftgate are cited as desirable features that are lacking in this car. Really? I'll add that The Car Mom asserted that "fuel economy is important," yet she later commented that she owns a Ford Expedition. Well, it doesn't appear that fuel economy is that important to her, given that the Expedition is one of the worst gas hogs on the road. I applaud GM for developing a car that improves upon its predecessor in virtually every important way, at a lower price. For many of us (myself included), it's probably all the car we need--even if we have to lift the tailgate ourselves.
