Can't believe that we're in an age where a Rav4 has an MSRP of 43k.

I loooove your videos!! Still have no idea what car to get next. But your videos are definitely helping narrow it down. Something I would LOVE to see from you is a shot of you in the passengers seat after setting up the foonf rear facing behind the passenger. A problem we are running into is very limited space in the passengers seat after installing our foonf rear facing. Thank you!!

Love your videos Kelly. I have a 2013 rav4. Space is OK for my two boys but ventilation sucks as there are no vents in the back. We have to angle the ones up front to try and compensate but it doesn't help much. Cargo space is awesome. People are always surprised as to how much can fit back there. And gas mileage is very good. Looking forward to your full Grand Highlander tour. Keep up the good work 👍🏾

I have a 2022 non-hybrid, and absolutely love it, BUT- when I added roof rack crossbars like this model you’re showcasing, I lost like 2-4 MPG (more so higher losses on highway MPG, less drastic around town MPG.) So honestly, unless you’re actually using the crossbars I’d take em off so you have less drag/wind resistance, and make sure you’re getting the optimal MPG.

We have a 2013 rav4 and it’s perfect for 1 child in a car seat, two is doable but just ok as far as space goes. I definitely don’t recommend if you like your space! But otherwise she’s been real good to us (Knock on wood)! and yes trunk space is always impressive.

We drive a 2015 Rav4 with 2 rear facing kiddos (1 & 3), and borrowed my Mom's 2023 hybrid for two weeks while we visited this summer. Trunk cargo space is 👌🏻. With a larger size dog as well, we did purchase a roof top carrier this year that is essential for us for a weekend or longer trip, but plenty of space for our day to day life. Agree that RF car seat clearance isn't great, and driver's/front passengers taller than 6ft would definitely want to choose a car seat wisely. I also wish second row had more ground space. I need to be able to store diaper bag, and lots of snacks and toys back there, with easy access from the front, and space is definitely tight. We are looking to upgrade to something larger to better meet our growing needs, but still a great vehicle for 1 or 2 kids.
Also, that little cubby where a phone can fit in front of passenger, great in theory, poor design in reality. Different trims may have different design, or I guess you could maybe put down a little non-slip pad, but when turning, a phone will slide right off

I have a 4Runner and even being a bigger 5 passenger SUV I would not do 3 across. This car is for someone with only 1-2 kiddos.
If I had a third kid I would definitely be looking at vehicles with a third row. My mom and sister have a RAV4 they are great cars and last forever.

I LOVE my 2016 Rav4 BUT we have 2 car seats and I can’t fit in between them if I need to hop in the back seat. I’m 5’3” and 145lbs and cannot sit flat. We’re looking to get a bigger car and I’m so sad to see this one go. Also, we paid 24k in 2019 and it’s worth 20k now, so very happy it’s held it’s value!

"Toyota says a Prius battery will last between 100,000-150,000 miles or between 8-10 years. Average cost of replacing a Prius’ hybrid battery is between $2,000-$2,600 according to Toyota." -- one search returns this, and you can easily verify it.

I just traded my 2016 RAV4 Hybrid for a Palisade. The RAV was... okay. I primarily liked the gas mileage of the vehicle. For one child it met my needs. The UppaBaby Vista can fit the opposite way in the trunk if you fold in the foot rest and center it in the trunk (forward to back vs side to side like shown). This helps if you need to get groceries on the of the vista. Without the seat it fits nicely forward to back anywhere in the trunk with a decent amount of space.
The newer models look like they've improved the vents slightly but my 2016 had ZERO vents in the back seat. This made for a VERY uncomfortable ride for my son, especially when he was in an infant seat and rear facing.
My last gripe was how wide the car is in general. My husband and I felt like we were knocking shoulders all the time and it was difficult to use the center console if someone else is in the front seat. Just cramped in general.
If you're looking for a second vehicle, a small SUV, or a city car this might be a good option. Or if you have a small family. I wouldn't really recommend this to haul 2 kids+stuff as a primary vehicle.
