omfg so simple and so concise straight to the point, ive been trying to find a PROPER powerful archer build and everyone keeps talking useless shit and showing nothing. thank you so much for this🙏🙏
This is not a powerful build in anyway... This is a basic set up that doesn't even have synergy in anyway. Just look up a gloomstalker/Assasisn build and it's FAR more powerful than this by a long shot. Why would he even use a mace of strength? Makes zero sense. The boots? Makes no sense. The bow doesn't even make sense. The helm is not good. None of this is even good.
@@Kmaitland89Gloomstalker assassin is good for one turn and best if you solo, in a party, it’s not the case. Best archery build I did was 5 gloomstalker or 5 fighter for the extra attack, 4 swords bard and the rest ( 3 levels) in fighter or gloomstalker, depending which one you took first. Equip the club that boost your strength to 19 or drink strength potions and use titanstring bow with your flourishes or your battle maneuvers. You can mix these three classes as you want depending on what you prefer. 6 sword bards, 3 fighter and 3 gloom give you extra attack and flourishes that return on short rests so you can spam them but gives you only one feat. Not getting rogue also dismiss sneak attack dmg but it’s so small it doesn’t change much. Gloomstalker assassin is good but first turn nova builds are extremely overrated. If you don’t plan on skipping cutscenes or attacking before talking, gloom assassin is basically useless. If you want a MC archer where you can talk with people first gloom assassin isn’t the one.
If you understand game mechanics such as ``surprised``. One of the best archer builds is a, half orc 3 assassin / 3 gloom stalker / 6 sword bard This will give u 3 atacks on a turn on surprised enemies all will be Critical Hits. With Bhaalist armor, all will be vunerable to your atacks. With an arrow specific for the target that damage will be double. So imagine the atack 10 damage x 2 20 cause critical, x2 cause he is vulnerable 40, x2 cause arrow double. 80 damage on a 10 damage arrow. Sharshooter adds 10 damage Titanstring bow with ellixir cloud giant adds 10-18 damage Upgrade with the drakecleave + 2-5 damage Arcane Acuity or some 1d4 ring So normaly you will do 23-37 There still ways to improve that. Normaly with the right setup and titanstring bow the best bow in the game. You do about 30 damage per arrow. 30 -- 60 -- 120 -- 240. Yes.
Before this game came out, all I heard was how overpowered the Paladin class is. They skipped over the versatility of being a Fighter. Literally anything can multiclass a fighter and take chunks of benefits from it. Or better yet, just be a full Fighter.
@quilellesmeurenttoutes1049 Yeah they suck aow wise, but Shadowheart past a certain level has so many good aoe speels and if you have a lock or sorcerer in your group you can compasate for the lack of aoe from a paladin.
no. literally no one multiclasses fighter because you only get the three extra attacks at your 11th level in fighter and at that point the last feat is more important than anything another class can give you.
The big problem with multiclassing is, unlike bg3 where you level up in barely some hours, actual dnd campaign are usually level 1-12 and unless your DM make let’s you skim through stuff, you are looking at several session between each level up (and that’s if your character survives) making a multiclass character is just tedious, also, you won’t get as many magic item in regular dnd unless you play a solo campaign with a DM friend, fighter without magic item carrying them is just not as good as Paladin being able to do everything from the get-go
Having 2 martials lvl 5 with extra attack doesnt give you extra attack x2. Only fighter 11 lvl can have extra attack x2 (and warlock 5 due to pact weapon + martial 5 but that is a bug). Just go 11 lvl fighter if you want more single target attacks or Ranger Hunter 11 for AoE attacks - Volley/Whirlwind Attack
The game is the same events but you see them a totally different way if u go all in with the good guys, or the absolutists, or the gith, or the midflayers. Plus the fights are just fun to do.
@@blackyvertigo Well yes but what I was alluding to was that there are other things that make a character strong besides number of attacks per action. Going by your example, an Oathbreaker Paladin + Warlock 5 will not only be making 3 attacks per action: - It will be able to attack using its CHA modifier, and will get +CHA modifier x2 on damage rolls with Oathbreaker’s Aura of Hate (stacks with pact weapon). With an act 1 or 2(?) headpiece you can also have the arcane synergy buff all the time, which allows you to add your spellcasting modifier to your attack damage - so you get x3 CHA mod to damage on each attack with all this. - You get Divine Smites. Enough said. You can be pretty lax with their use too, since you’ll have two 3rd level warlock slots per short rest. - You have Aura of Protection giving you your CHA mod to every saving throw. - You have powerful crowd control spells from warlock like fear. - You have Eldritch Blast. Meanwhile, a fighter gets action surge, second wind, and bonus feats (not even necessary with the permanent buffs in this game)…..Yeah I’ll take the Palalock any day of the week lol
The bow is the boss drop(on it's corpse in the factory), and after you destroy the factory I believe it's impossible to get back in. Though don't sweat it too much because Dual Hand Crossbows are still really good if you're planning on Dex Fighter.
@767corp You can actually apply latest patches on pirated version, I use pirated version GOG one, it's very easy to apply as the game itself has no drm that requires cracking again. Also the easiest way to get the bow if you destroyed the steel factory is to just use a mod and spawn the item. I understand the frustration of wanting to try builds but being locked out because of story decisions. This really sucks, and it should have at least be in some kind of shop for a lot of gold or rare items at the very least.
@@popthesuckerThey fixed the dual crossbow with sharpshooter that the off-hand attack didnt get -5 dice rolls debuff and remain with the +10 bonus attack. Now, the debuff is up on both hands.
yup, i prefer it over pure fighter, i've experimented with both. Ranger 5, rogue 4, fighter 3 is very very strong (the rogue and fighter levels can be interchanged, just one of them should be 4 for second feat). I also prefer Dead Shot or Titanstring over the legendary bow. The guiding bolt and haste can come from your party members, but with the 18 str mace titan string is doing 4 more damage (though 2 less from being +1, so I understand why most would upgrade from this), Dead Shot pretty much never misses and has even better crit chance
Ranger can't afford points into Charisma because it has to put into both Dex and Wis, so a Ranger MC can't be used as the face. Fighter doesn't need Wis, so those points go into Cha.
This is... not good. This is a build that has zero synergy and is as basic as it gets. It has no power increase. You have armor and weapons that are just basic stat buffs you don't even need. You are running a helm that gives you an additional bonus action at less than 50% health? Why? That's not even worth any ones time. How about the crit helm? Or honestly, any other helm that isn't that. You are using a strength club... for.... what? If you're an archer, you don't need the strength and if you needed strength you could either use the strength gauntlets or use the constitution amulet and dump constitution. This is all sorts of mediocre.

this build as a deurgar for free invis out of combat after level 5 (no rest required) is completely absurd.
Thanks so much for this! Who would’ve thought the best archer build would be a pure fighter!?
Why no necklace? Is there really nothing that could help?
thanks for that
my plan is not using hag hair on my archer so alert or lucky changeable for another ASI ?
Why wouldn’t they be? You should be good
How i get the Angleirons Cellar to open? the crack in the wall is not there for me
Yea after learning fighter 11 get 3 attacks per action. Other class just cant compete.

19 is an interesting stat considering benefits increase with even numbers
It was done with the intention of getting Auntie Ethel's Boon (+1 to any ability score) from the hag, which was then applied to DEX, raising it to 20.
