As People have been asking. The build was as follows by the end of the game: Level 5 Ranger - Gloomstalker: Mainly for the Extra Attacks at Level 5 for Ranger and Misty Step at Gloomstalker Level 5 Level 5 Rogue - Assassin: Sneak Attack addition 1d6 damage and more proficiency for general stuff Level 2 Fighter: Action Surge at Level 2 By end game you have potentially 6-7 attacks before they can move if you surprise the enemy, not including the initial "Surprise Attack" since that is free if successful. Arguably a better build would be: Level 3 Fighter into Champion which would give you better chances for critical Hit Level 4 Rogue Level 5 Ranger I decided to opt for more consistent damage increase and proficiency since my Magic uses could easily put people into states where I always have advantage and hit those Crits anyway (Telekinesis, Hold Person/Monster) Its a fun build but I would argue its more fun on your 2nd playthrough since you would have encounter knowledge at this point and can exploit it to its maximum. Or just Reload ofc :)
TRUE 😂 a bit misleading but Rogues are so good ONLY if multiclassed, they have potential to be amazing only if multiclassed Alone... well, have fun spending the whole game praying for advantage
@@zaooza34 You usually want to multi-class into a something like a fighter or ranger at some point for double attack and probably two weapon fighting style.
Crits are amazing, but imagine doing pretty much the same but without ever needing to use stealth. All while being able to tank hits Rogues are just meh
Pffffft thatd nothing!!! My bard analyzed his song and pretty much persuaded him that he had to kill himself and all of his allies to break out of his little contract.
Risky ring giving permanent unconditional sneak attack is one of the many things this game provides. Is it a band aid? yes, absolutely but it exists@@ot9698
Pure rogue is pretty trash, same with pure ranger. But gloomstalker + assassin, that's another story. I did this with sarevok and get him down to around 30% in a single turn. Plus paralyzed him for 2 turns with the ring that gives paralyze on crit
How do you manage to play before Yurgir ? I tried many times to surprise him with my assassin but he always moved as soon as I engaged him no matter what
I just agreed to help him out of his contract but since that is bugged on PS5 (as off the time this was uploaded) I just walked behind him, saw a blind spot and then just went for it after making sure my whole party were also behind him. Oh and I guess I turned his Cat beast against him first so maybe that?
At this point in the game I can't remember what level I was at but i'm pretty sure I was Gloomstalker and Assassin. I only moved into fighter in Act 3 for the final levels

What should you path first ranger rogue or fighter
@@Vibemastergaming I did Rogue and Ranger first, just alternating till I got to where I needed. Then I did Fighter last for the remaining levels
This 5-5-2 build is my exact build but I use it for archer. It's really op and sometimes killing enemies withing first round really helps
“Why Rogues are the best”
Immediately shows Extra Attack, a feature that Rogues are very well known for not having.

And Dread ambusher which is Gloom Stalker ranger ability.
@@nothingtoseehere9648 theres a ring in the game that always gives you advantage on attacks lol
@@GossgamingGG True although that doesn't make up for his lacking movepool

Sadly the high level rogue levels offer very little. A rogue basically has to multiclass to keep up with other classes
More like you have to multiclass other classes with rogue because that`s always stronger
@@zaooza34than a fighter, sorcerer, or monk?
@@thatoneguy9816 ofc. If you wonna minmax monk - add 3 levels to get thief

@@zaooza34 It's like warlock. Best when it's not your main class.
My first playthrough was as a thief. Forget the whole min/maxing thing, I had a great time robbing people blind.
Same. I literally rob every merchant every time their inventory refreshes. I have way too much money and gear but it’s just so fun!
If Rogues had Swashbuckler in BG3 i think they'd be unstoppable
Maybe you can kill him in one turn. But definitely the best way to get rid of Yorgir is talking him into stabbing himself XD
The alternative video, “why bards and warlocks are actually the best”
Crits are amazing, but imagine doing pretty much the same but without ever needing to use stealth.
All while being able to tank hits
Rogues are just meh
Yeah like monks will do the same thing all the time, especially at that point in the game.
can yurgir get surprised ?!
I literaly did the same on my play through but I was full rouge assasin. First crit for 60hp and the next round 40hp crit :D
Absolutely filthy lmao. Awesome build.
Astarion finished him for me with a stealth attack when Yurgir ran into him
Pffffft thatd nothing!!!
My bard analyzed his song and pretty much persuaded him that he had to kill himself and all of his allies to break out of his little contract.
Rogue + Ranger combo alone is mad op. Plus fighter is just mean lol
Not bad for level 4, but the warriors in Larian Studio games have always been the strongest ones
Rogue multiclass wouldve been more accurate
Monks and rogues are really buffed in this game compared to the tabletop, I love it!
rouge is pretty bad tbh you have to multiclass to keep up

Nice build I'll try em out
Definitely have not seen these results with Astarion yet...
What equipment did you have here
Can i get a version in real time
You're a Rogue/Ranger right?
Indeed, specifically Gloomstalker and Assassin
also did this build for my first playthrough, was scared of multiclassing but Ranger on its own is pretty weak@@sockbat25

You can walk around behind him on the right side. You gotta jump to the spot and stay out of the light or use invisibility to get the sneak attack.
Bruh😂
What is your build?
So from what i can see level 4 Rogue Assassin, probably level 5 Ranger Gloomstalker. And then? Maybe fighter or something?

I guarantee not a single one of you "Build" nerds has played real D&D if you think rogue is WEAK because it doesnt have extra attack
In bg3, it is weak compared to the strongest builds tho
