    This is both parts as played by Mike and Stone, including how they sound together. Enjoy!

    The best version of teaching this song. Thanks for the tabs to explain and show how its done. That two guitars part was great. The only two electrics I have. A strat copy and a Les Paul copy. Nice

      Let's Play All I know it’s an old song but I’ve started playing again after a 30 year pause, heard this on the radio and thought I should learn how to play it. I think it’ll be a good alternate picking exercise. Subscribed!

    Brilliant mate. Thanks for the lesson. I have it down but have trouble singing and playing the arpeggio fill at the same time. What chord progression could I play instead that would sound decent?

    • @LetsPlayAll
      @LetsPlayAll  3 года назад +2

      You're welcome Michael. Instead of the arpeggio you can just strum G, A7sus4, G. For the G you could incorporate the move from open B to 3rd fret on string 2 (B) and do that over A7 sus4 too. So G would be (3 2 0 0 0 3 then 3 2 0 0 3 3) and A7sus4 would be ( x 0 2 0 0 x then x 0 2 0 3 0) perhaps?!

    What about those ither riffs during the chorus that Chris plays to fill the picking on several times in their live perfomances?

  • @martinsteiger5039
    @martinsteiger5039 5 лет назад +1

    Great lesson Matt. Mastery of this song has always eluded me.
    Any thoughts on what Stone and Chris are playing during second verse in the music video when they are shown? Doesn’t seem to match up with the music.

    • @LetsPlayAll
      @LetsPlayAll  5 лет назад

      Cheers Martin! I thought in the video they're just rocking out tbh but have had another look and it looks like they're doubling the bass progression. Looks to me like power chords (D, A, D strings) so playing 5th fret for one bar, 7th fret for one bar then up to the 12th fret for two bars. If you check out this version you can see Eddie playing that part from about 3mins....ruclips.net/video/ZbPD7n_S9ME/видео.html - hope that helps!

    Great as always! Is your Victory V40 equipped with 6L6s or EL34s? Thanks!

    • @LetsPlayAll
      @LetsPlayAll  5 лет назад

      Hey Brad - it's got EL34s in it at the mo but i didn't hear much difference between 6L6s and EL34s as i did a side by side comparison. Clean makes an imperceptible difference to my ears, you hear a little bit of a difference when it's cranked with OD applied. The amp itself is great though, workhorse live too :-)

    Is that a Gibson-esque non-gibson les paul?

    • @LetsPlayAll
      @LetsPlayAll  2 года назад

      Yes indeed, an Edwards (japanese made) LP copy based on a Jimmy Page replica. Plays and sounds great tho, was only about £600 from an auction a few yrs back

    • @neilsnow7973
      @neilsnow7973 2 года назад

      @@LetsPlayAll Very nice. I have been in search for some Edwards guitars. Hard to find where I am in the States. They seem to be of good quality...much like Tokai...which I think I may actually prefer to Gibson, because Tokai seems to have better quality control. Pricy though, and also hard to get here as well.

    • @LetsPlayAll
      @LetsPlayAll  2 года назад

      @@neilsnow7973 my edwards is superb for rhythm stuff and I use it live a lot (as I don’t mind it getting knocked about!) but it’s not great for solos compared to my other guitars. I definitely notice it lacks a bit there for me. But it’s a cracking “no frills” guitar for the price
