Here's my thoughts on outdoors lights.
As you noticed , my favorites will always be headlamps, I often prefer to have my hands free.
It's always hard to choose the right gear . I truly hope that my thoughts would be helpful to you to choose the right headlamp.

U’ve ur point there about small n light headlamps but bigger ones have their pros as well , as an angler i have both , hm70r for me is a must have one , alot of light n run time when needed

Awesome presentation brother! Great information. I am a big fan of rechargeable batteries as you said you can use solar to recharge. I however really like the ability to reload my charge instantly with AAA or AA batteries. I am enjoying this new PF light but I still like the LED Lenser as well that allows the use of rechargeable and AAA batteries can be swapped out at any time. It's hard to beat how lightweight this model is and the flexibility of use is also outstanding. I think it definitely offers something unique in the market. I hope you guys had a great Christmas and are doing well my friend!

The Pathfinder Headlamp is 500 Lumens and it last no more than 4/5 hours, the Fenix HM70R is 1500 Lumens and it last more than a day with its powerful batteries, hope it helps!
