I have had 2 bandit and 2 bandit pro lights for years as a full time diesel tech. Rain, snow, mud, bashing into truck and trailer frames, dropped countless times. All still going strong after 6+ years. Amazing Headlamps. Will be upgrading to the Enduro usb for camping with wanting to have the dual function of the flood and spot in the same headlamp and longer runtime than the bandits.

Great choice for headlamp. We use it for our outback survival bag & camping in the hinterlands. The red lights are great when you want to sneak around the campsite/tents without waking up other campers. It's also make an ambience atmosphere while having a beer or two while chatting & solving the world's problems. Cowabunga.!

I want a light with two buttons, red and white, high and low. I use red light when I don’t want to ruin my/others night vision. Also use red for getting into hunting spots in the early morning. I hate the buttons that make you go through a bunch of settings and why the heck would you want a strobe setting?🤷‍♀️

I wish everything would switch to usb-c so I could get rid of my micro usb cables. I agree on the red light, it's nice to have, it's better than having several blinking options you have to click through, but I rarely use it.

For a " vehicle mobile lifestyle " , truck driving & car delivery svcs & camping , red light is essential.
When using red light sitting in a vehicle you can still see outward around you while being productive.
Olight Perun 2 mini is my go to....Red constant on + beacon mode for hazard signaling & moonlight
2 lumens in white light if desired. also It can separate from the headband and is a 90 deg light
attached to anything a pocket clip will do , plus a magnet mount.....very versatile !!

I don't know about the big one. But the Bandit and Bandit Pro are old. I've used them for years. I wouldn't suggest that you buy the cheaper Bandit. Get the Pro, it's battery life makes a difference.

More like 90% of headlampers utilize the red light. To conserve battery, if nothing else, but I use the red and green, a lot, and I’m not a hunter. I own a lot of different headlights and have had many others as well, and honestly my favorites have been the Bushnell from Walmart, with removable rechargeable battery pack, with the option to use AAA’s if you want or NEED. That’s a big deal to me, and a must have option! Second, is the Black diamond Storm 400 lumens, removable battery pack, with AAA option. Both lights have red and green, and are simplified two button function, and finally, affordable! Cheers

They are so close! Love Streamlight but they just slightly miss the mark. The bandit would be a go-to outdoors light if it just had a third brightness of about 1 lumen so I can turn it on in the shelter or the tree stand without disturbing other people or wildlife. Just enough to look in a pack or at a small area. Red would be good for the enduro.

G'day Aaron, a lot to like, the weight and flood in particular, though I take it .... non-replaceable batteries : ( and IPX4 barely gets a pass IMO.
If red light is there, well and good, (but yeah how often are you actually gonna use it) and if it aint, it does simplify the interface and one would expect reduce the cost to manufacture; ultimately; better off with a moonlight/firefly mode. Btw; apologies if I missed it, I reckon it's worth mentioning whether its cool or warm white. Cheers Duke.

Things I don't like about it is that it turns on easily like it can be in your pocket or pack and a small bump will turn it on and then when you need it, its dea d. Other than that it's ok

If it only had a replaceable battery pack. When I need light i don't have 3-4 hours to wait. I need light. When the battery is dead can you use the light as soon as you plug it into a power source? Is there a wait time for it to build a minimal charge? Or, like a couple I tried, will it turn on at all while being charged?

Like everyone here I like my gear. I bet everyone in this comment section has two dozen flashlights and a half dozen headlamps. I can’t say what it is knowing how awesome modern rechargeable batteries are but when it comes to headlamps I want replaceable batteries in it. I feel like when you need a headlamp it’s because you’re doing something more important with both hands and if I need it….. I need it. If it shuts down I want fresh batteries. Or at least that ability. I’m also not sure why some headlamps are going after throw. No one has ever clicked on a headlamp to see what’s 100yds away. Give me 90 lumens that last a 4 night backpacking trip any day of the week. One man’s opinion.

I used the red light on my old headlamp when walking to my treestand. Not so much for me to see, but to BE seen by other hunters. We had trouble with trespassers, and I was afraid of getting shot.

Have been using streamlight trident for years. Kinda heavy by todays standards but there is a “hunter” version with green light. Not many headlights offer green light. I dont have much need for red but I stand by the green for deer hunting. I walked into bed of deer one morning in the dark and they didnt spook until we could kick each other

I like streamlight, back in the day I used their weapons lights. Still have one or two that work to this day. I even have a 88081 ProTac HL 5-X, more a mission specific than an EDC, very tough, very reliable. But Streamlight always just seem to be using old tech and lacking modern features. Who makes a headlamp or any EDC light for that matter without a moon light mode? And micro USB charging, really in this day and age? USB-C is the standard, come on. I call shenanigans as all listings I see say "USB recharging" and does not tell you its Micro USB. Plus a red led included in Headlamps are pretty standard. Especially for an outdoor use light. I love you Streamlight, an America company (even tho much of your stuff is made overseas) but you need to do better, seriously do better.
