It's not made clear, but the reason all the fireworks is going off in Boston 1783, is that's when the Revolutionary War officially ended. Contrary to popular belief, the war didn't end on July 4th, 1776, we just upgraded from being rebel upstarts to being our own fully-fledged nation; we have the papers and documents now, we became official. Which, in hindsight seems a lot more bureaucratic but at the time it's more like the biggest middle finger you could give one of the dominant powers of the western world at the time. Saint Dominique is present-day Haiti; the slaves there went through their own revolution with France following the French Revolution (the dissolvement and execution of the royalty, nobility, aristocracy, and those, especially priests, who sided with them them out of fear of losing their lofty way of life), which was an even bigger middle finger at the time than what happened in America, because not only were people rebelling, they weren't even viewed as people by the French or other nations, these were slaves rebelling in Haiti (what's funny is that France conscripted Polish forces, a lot of them deserted and joined the Haitians; imagine you some Haitian army recruiter and you see a bunch random white people roll up with vodka asking if they can join because they also hate the French, like that Polish army squad that recruited a bear in I think WWII and he carried artillery shells, like you're in the trenches and a bear walks by carrying crates of bombs, this bear outranks you); which, it sucks but America was at best neutral, France helped us during the revolution and America still had many slave-owners, including our founding fathers, like it was a very conflicting scenario, and France at the time still owned like most of America's frontier.

It seems like exceptionally strong vampires have special abilities, the teleporting viking vampire, Dragan and the three vampires at the end of season 4, Cho from season 1 could turn into mist, and etc. It seems like the older a vampire is the more powerful they become hence why Dracula was the strongest vampire they ever fought in all 4 seasons of the first show despite the fact that he handnt drank blood in more than a year and why the Morningstar was able to one shot every single vampire except him. Olrox could've been the Dracula of the Americas since he's based off Quetzalcoatl which many people were sacrificed too.
The thing that i like that someone said is that Olrox respected Ricters mother enough to not desecrate her body more by stepping on it, the kill was quick and clean too
Love your castlevania reactions so happy you’re doing Nocturne. I need Sheera’s “I want to suck your blood” tho!! Someone messed up in the promotion and told everyone Richter was Trevor and Sypha’s son. It’s been 300 years since the first series. Trevor and Sypha have been dead for a while. Julia and Richter are their descendants
I never thought Richter was Sypha and Trevor's son. In the games Belmont bloodline, Trevor is pretty early while Richter is pretty far down. So unless they did do some major changes, this is multiple generations later.
Alrighty so. I'll start off by saying there's not a definitive family tree because there are a lot of gaps so if you look up these characters on the wiki you can only assume they're just recorded characters. But that doesn't mean it's all exact. Which is why people get confused about whose child is whose. I won't be mentioning separate clans, simply because it's too complicated but all you need to know is that Maria and Tera are related to Richter on Sypha's side. I'll just mention the highlight characters (aka that fighting Belmonts). So Trevor starts off basically near the top of the family tree where Leon is, who is the first known Belmont. (Fun fact: the first fem Belmont was going to have her own game but her story was made to ret-con other canon shit so it was canceled. Sad. Her name was Sonia.) There's Trevor, he has a few kids (three I think, but again this may be a point where a gap is.), and then we get introduced to Christopher and Soleli who were pretty much neglected by the fandom but they still matter obviously. So we are at a point where Christopher is Trevor's grandson or great-grandson. After Soleli is Simon Belmont who is very popular, with him being born in 1669 (nice) we can only assume there was a big jump here. So Simon would not be the son of Soleli (maybe grandson). After Simon is Juste, he's pretty cool. He's more magic-prone than most Belmonts in history. He's also albino. Straight after him is Richter so he's probably his grandfather since we saw Julia as his mother (she's only not canon from my knowledge but there's no issue with her filling that gap in the middle). There's also Julius but he's not really relevant at this point so I'll go ahead and list it here. Leon Trevor (time jump) Christopher Soleil (time jump) Simon (slight time jump) Juste Julia Richter (time jump) Ngl I could've explained this a lot better, but if there's any questions i can answer i will. Such as what happens in their timespans n stuff. So, there's that
there was a twitter or instagram that miswrote Ricther Belmont as Trevor and Sypha son, the studio corrected it by editing great 10x Grandson. yeah the show took place 300 years after Castlevania in the french revolution era
11:39 I just had a thought. I don't think they drink everything. They leave em' half empty and toss them aside. Just like some people do with their food. Instead they should have a way to store their blood, like blood banks or something. I mean I suppose they look at them the way we would look at food. There's so much so people wouldn't need to be careful if they can get it so easily. But they despise humans so I guess there's that
Pretty sure there’s gonna be another part after these 8 episodes cuz they leave it on a cliff hanger, hopefully they make it and enjoy the show, I sure did.
The respect put on the regional mythologies and religions is massive in this show. I love their worldbuilding. I have already watched the whole thing, but i will say no more until the cool parts start being shown

Olrox could've been the Dracula of the Americas since he's based off Quetzalcoatl which many people were sacrificed too.
FINALLY! Was waiting for you two dudes and the lovely lady to start doing your reaction of this new series!
I binged this on Friday and loved the whole thing.
Just finished the show and damn i got so emotional with that ending 😭
The thing that i like that someone said is that Olrox respected Ricters mother enough to not desecrate her body more by stepping on it, the kill was quick and clean too
YOOOOOOO!!!! I've been waiting man! I'm so impatient, it felt like an eternity to see you guys enjoy this!
I was just waiting for them to drop this. I’m hyped!!!
14:45 I swear the whole cast is awesome!!!
12:57 SHEERA what ARE YOU... Bro she is predicting EVERYTHING
It feels amazing to be back. The new art direction took a bit of getting used to but overall was really good.
You guys might recognize that whip... it is, in fact, the very same whip Trevor wielded 300ish years ago.
I already wanna rewatch this for halloween and i cant wait for season 2 😮
I litteraly finish it all in one day and all I can say is this show is fire 🔥
Love your castlevania reactions so happy you’re doing Nocturne. I need Sheera’s “I want to suck your blood” tho!!
Someone messed up in the promotion and told everyone Richter was Trevor and Sypha’s son. It’s been 300 years since the first series. Trevor and Sypha have been dead for a while. Julia and Richter are their descendants
Yes so happy you guys reacting to this finished it during The Weekend so good
I never thought Richter was Sypha and Trevor's son. In the games Belmont bloodline, Trevor is pretty early while Richter is pretty far down. So unless they did do some major changes, this is multiple generations later.
I am excited for more episodes I can't wait to see the animated was amazing voice actor on point
Loved this season, Olrox was my favorite character.
Yeah this takes place 300+ years after castlevania. Richter was born 1773 Trevor was born 1456. Trevor is richters great great grandfather
I have the urge to explain everything about the Belmont timeline
Could I get an explanation
Do it now!
I'm here for the wiki
Leon
Trevor
(time jump)
Christopher
Soleil
(time jump)
Simon
(slight time jump)
Juste
Julia
Richter
(time jump)
Ngl I could've explained this a lot better, but if there's any questions i can answer i will. Such as what happens in their timespans n stuff. So, there's that
@@nox9749 thanks for the special delivery, Chad living up to his word 👌🏽
this is like 400 year after the end of the first Castlevania
I HAVE BEEN WAITING FOR THIS REACTION. Prayers have been answered, let’s get this show on the roll! 💪🔥
I’m so excited u guys are reacting to this, I never played the game so it is not gonna be that nostalgic to me but the storyline was did very well
Oh I’m so happy y’all are doing this show!
Richter is the many generations Grandson of Trevor and Sypha which is why he is able to use magic thanks to the Speaker blood
It's 320 years after the stuff with Trevor and sypha and Alucard
Beinged all of this in one night and I loved everything about
Olrox is actually an Aztec.
“They’re a little dark!” (Night creatures run away....). Lmao OMG I spit out my Dr. Pepper at that moment! Wow!
like 300 years have passed since the first show, we're several generations down from Trevor and Sypha at this point
I can't wait for them to get to the episode where he books it lmao. I gotta see if they died laughing like I did
Netflix is also making a DMC anime as well
Just wanted to say yall are so dope and u are loved in are house hold and we appreciate all the hard work yall do thank u for making my week
Here we go, another yaboy castlevania adventure reaction!
14:02 Whose farm did ya come from ?
Ya had me rollin 😂😂😂
YASS were back!! I loved this season.
yes! I'm so glad yall are picking this up -
there was a twitter or instagram that miswrote Ricther Belmont as Trevor and Sypha son, the studio corrected it by editing great 10x Grandson.
yeah the show took place 300 years after Castlevania in the french revolution era
Roshi,
This takes place 300 years after Trevor’s Story
11:39 I just had a thought. I don't think they drink everything. They leave em' half empty and toss them aside. Just like some people do with their food. Instead they should have a way to store their blood, like blood banks or something. I mean I suppose they look at them the way we would look at food. There's so much so people wouldn't need to be careful if they can get it so easily. But they despise humans so I guess there's that
Yei! Was waiting for this!!!😭
Yoo whats up with Twitter and Reddit all of the sudden turning on Castlevania this looks really good
YESS!!! Been waiting for you guys to do this
While binge watching the whole season, my only thought during each episode was "I can't wait for Roshi, Sheera, and Lupa to see these."
When lisa was burned it was 1475. So trevor and sypha were adults. Currently its 1700s so its 3 generations.
35 seconds in... That was EASILY the most amazing RUclips intro video I've ever seen!!!
I just know you guys will love this series. And it is based on the games. Olrox is definitely gonna have them all over the place😂😂😂
Seeing that Netflix is releasing more animated originals, my hopes of having another Castlevania with either Simon and Leon Belmont keeps rising.
I’ve been waiting on y’all!
Orlox gave Richter the same speech Itachi gave Sasuke. Come get your lick back when you’re ready. 😂
Wait, What!? Lupa at 4:14 is that a reference to Venom and Black Cat's first meeting in the comics? Awesome!
One thing to note is the show will have it's own timeline. It doesn't appear it will use the timelines from the games directly.
