Erzsébet is based on the real-world Countess Elizabeth Báthory de Ecsed---or in Hungarian, _Báthori Erzsébet_---was a Hungarian countess from the noble Báthory family, and was also the most prolific serial killer in history. She tortured and killed over *600* young women and girls between 1590 and 1610, and was rumored to bathe in their blood, as she believed it would grant her eternal youth. Her guiltiness is disputed, but not one single person argued that she was innocent. Not even her sons. Over *300* people testified against her. She had several accomplices including four of her servants: Dorotya Semtész (who Drolta is based off of; her anglicized name is Dorottya Szentes), Ilona Jó, Katarína Benická and János Újváry (or Ficzko [pronounced feech-koh I think]). She had other accoplices too, including an old woman named Anna Darvulia. She was especially brutal. She would beat the girls "until their bodies opened up". One winter, Ficzko submerged a naked girl in a freezing creek, and then left her outside until the cold was upon her. Ficzko stabbed the girls' lips, mouths, tongues, with needles in the Countess's carriage when they traveled. One summer, Ilona Jó tied a naked girl up outside, and lathered her in honey, and let the wasps have her. Dorotya would beat them, burn them with hot spoons and fire irons. She pinched their flesh with tongs and tore it from their bodies. A different translation of the exerpt states that the Countess and her cohort used their teeth, not tongs. Sources: _"Infamous Lady: The True Story of Countess Erzsébet Báthory"_ , Kimberly L. Craft (2009); and Google.

Only having to deal with 1 at a time is like level 1 taking on that many feels like a jump to level 6.
So funny thing about a guillotine, if you were rich and had money, you could afford a fresh new blade, the poor people and nobodies got the community blade, which might take a few drops before taking your head off, and now keep in mind this is the revolution, ain't nobody paying for a nice sharp fresh blade
Think about it...he's suppressed his magic from ptsd of that night!! Imagine when he overcomes it and it erupts outta him! He gonna be a sypha level problem
@jspsand7085 Jules? You mean Juste? If so, then Juste was more than a name drop, did you not watch the show? Dude can do a few things in season 2, like train Richter and provide info related to the past Belmonts; he's Simon's grandson, after all.
@@xenohusky5979 it was a waste of a character, and I doubt he'll come back, make me wonder if you are the one that didn't watch, and making him his grampa feelt pointless, richer character don't need this.
@@jspsand7085 Yeah, they didn't need to him all sad and depressed, but of course he's a grandpa, dude is old by this point in the timeline. Like I said, having him around gives the chance to explore the Belmont history between Trevor and Richter, and give Juste some screen time as he's one of the more forgotten Belmonts. Also, Richter does need a figure like Juste to guide him; he's young and arrogant, and there's a lot for him to learn.
Not so fun fact: during the revolution guillotines were used so much that they would get dull. So for the unfortunate souls who got executed with dull blades had extremely painful deaths since the blade would only go halfway through their necks on the first slice.
Pick your poison: getting your neck munched on by a vampire, getting your head chopped by a guillotine or not even being allowed to "RIP" and being turned into a thrall...
its funny that just a little while ago in Castlevania, Carmilla was one of the big bad guys, now this season has Erzsébet Bathory aka the lady that inspired the book Carmilla. There's some cool attention to detail with how all her prisoners were girls since Bathory was known to primarily torture and kill young women to bathe in their blood. There's a lot of speculation that she did it to make herself look younger ig cause botox wasn't a thing back then so she had to make do smh
What's exciting and frustrating about this season is that if Annette was more creative with her metal and rock powers, she could easily be OP. But I guess they're going to gradually level up everyone's skills with each season like they did the previous series.

Actually, fun fact about the guillotine it’s not quick actually most of the time the guillotine blade wasn’t sharp enough sometimes and they had to do it 2 to 3 times some people are still alive and France didn’t in abolish it until 1981.
Shapeshifting is a vampire power. Remember Alucard turning into a wolf, or Lenore and Cho becoming mist?
10:35 Running water. They literally couldn't go after them 😆
Vampires in general can shapeshift. Alucard used to turn into a wolf in the first series. Olrox turns into a Quetzalcoatl because he's Aztec
Vampires turning into other creatures is normal no? I mean Alucard can transform into a wolf
Bats and mist yes, but big scary Aztec gods is quite abnormal
@@gloomygloomstalker3878 ehh, idk, after all Alucard becomes a wolf
@@Nano-Chad Still not the same thing as a laser eye feathered dragon. Annette even mentioned that "we are all descended from gods" so Olrox definitely is tapping into something deep from his heritage.
@@aghadlarhen9397 thats new lore, in the games Dracula is tied to chaos.
Interesting choice to use an iron maiden to create night creatures
I love your reactions in each video, especially the Castlevania ones. I've already seen them all and I'm not going to miss any episode that you see. If you have played most of the Castlevania games you will connect many dots and characters. Because they are going to lose their sanity. Greetings to everyone from Mexico!
Stephan Urquelle is a night creature
I'm glad I'm not the only one that was thinking of episodes going by fast😅
AYO 3:35 edit is WILD LMAOOOOOO
Yo they really stepped in a big ass pile of shit. The vampire slaying was talking to the Abbott about killing 3 vampires when he normally only sees 1 at a time and then he finds a whole mansion full of em. Only having to deal with 1 at a time is like level 1 taking on that many feels like a jump to level 6.
So funny thing about a guillotine, if you were rich and had money, you could afford a fresh new blade, the poor people and nobodies got the community blade, which might take a few drops before taking your head off, and now keep in mind this is the revolution, ain't nobody paying for a nice sharp fresh blade
edouard singing reminded me of "coming to america" when prince hakeem's wedding singer was introducing his bride 😄
GOD! THAT INTRO WAS FIRE. The channel intro.
Speaking of it, I wish they did an intro for NOCTURNE because I love the original opening.
The way Richter was slinging that whip made Annette shut up is crazy 4:25
10:39 Maria controls animals in the game too, btw.
When Richter gets his magic back......a sight to behold
🤌
Think about it...he's suppressed his magic from ptsd of that night!! Imagine when he overcomes it and it erupts outta him! He gonna be a sypha level problem
better
This light skinned brother has blue eyes and can sing? 18th century mista steal yo girl.
Nocturne draws its story ideas from 4 Castlevania games
Rondo of blood(Main story)
Symphony of the Night
Harmony of Dissonance,and
Bloodlines
what does it draws from symhony? and as for harmony having an old and pathetic jules name drop names from the game really served no purpose.
"[glances in death flag]"😂😂😂
*Run for your life*
*The frenzy has begun*
*The moon is red*
*We are out of time*
Yeeeeeaaaaaaahhhh lololol
I was excited to see haitian voodoo. And they got most of it right
Can't wait until they react to episode 6 and 8
ol girl bad AF.....Drolta's designs all season was God-tier....
this seasons pretty good excited for more
ran thru thru the CV playlist now i feel complete....on to Nocturne!!!! can't wait to see the rest of these reactions!
Phoenix, Turtle, Tiger all she is missing is a Dragon
Not so fun fact: during the revolution guillotines were used so much that they would get dull. So for the unfortunate souls who got executed with dull blades had extremely painful deaths since the blade would only go halfway through their necks on the first slice.
Knowing what happened to the other Trevor’s weapons.
4:00 (glances in deathflag)😭😭😭😭
Pick your poison: getting your neck munched on by a vampire, getting your head chopped by a guillotine or not even being allowed to "RIP" and being turned into a thrall...
[Glances in death flag] is wild 3:57
3:14 If "I can fix her" was a character.
I think y’all missed it but that’s the very same whip Trevor used
its funny that just a little while ago in Castlevania, Carmilla was one of the big bad guys, now this season has Erzsébet Bathory aka the lady that inspired the book Carmilla. There's some cool attention to detail with how all her prisoners were girls since Bathory was known to primarily torture and kill young women to bathe in their blood.
There's a lot of speculation that she did it to make herself look younger ig cause botox wasn't a thing back then so she had to make do smh
Man, the VA charged too much for acting and singing, he had to go.
😂😂😂😂lmao
Was waiting for them to pop off to Drolta XD
The second Voltra is revealed, you can hear the 10,000 pencils of rule34 artists going to work.
What's exciting and frustrating about this season is that if Annette was more creative with her metal and rock powers, she could easily be OP. But I guess they're going to gradually level up everyone's skills with each season like they did the previous series.
Bro the Vampire Messiah is just PlayBoi Carti
deserved more likes
I saw it in two day, I love this serie sooo much!
What do you call a group of vampires? A gaggle. A gaggle of vampires. Like geese but more deadly. :)
Damn, Roshi didn't even give Lupa a moment
Funny how they got the same references as me. Kill bill in the first episode, AHS in this one. I thought I was the only one😅
Don’t forget, vampires can’t do human magic like devil forging. Has to specifically be humans to be Forgemasters.
Can't wait for episode 3 😭
