"I thought you were a temporary infestation"...love it...I loved both Joan Collins and Stephanie Beachman...these ladies were fantastic...it's a shame that the writers gave Diahann Carroll such a watered down storyline after a strong introduction in her first season on Dynasty. I would have loved to see an incorporated storyline of all three characters, Alexis, Dominique and Sable. What a wallop of a season that would have been.
Sable was absolutely the only female on this show that could handle Alexis without coming to blows. She through all of Alexis's shade right back her. Love this scene.
If the show wasn't cancelled we would've figured out some things....the mysterious woman in the car talking to the corrupt cop was Dominique....she was coming back on the show....

And what's even cooler was that after this, Stephanie Beecham played Mrs. Peacock in the British TV show Clue. She was only in the first season but I think it's a nice little connection lol

What was fantastic about this was that it was spoken with British accents, but the dialogue was purely American because it was brash and improper, and the British just did not speak this way. Dynasty/Dallas/Knots Landing was my mother's bible, so it was always on the television on schedule always. I never paid attention to them, as I was a kid then, but now listening to them banter, I laugh because the whole show was centered around throwing shade at each other, that ended with a season finally cat fight, plus the only-once-per-season curse word, b*tch.

I wonder why they did not do more with her. On top of being a good actress and having good chemistry with many of the characters, she was a beautiful woman. What a let down. Sable made the show fun again. Dynasty was getting back to its roots again this season, but of course, it got cancelled and probably rightfully so. You can only sustain an audience for so long, and for me, the show started to lose me towards the end of Season Five, got worse in Season Six and started to climb out of its hole, hit, miss from that point on. Season Nine restored some dignity to the series. It was my least favorite of the nighttime soaps at that time, but I watched it all to the end.

People go on about how great Sable was ..but let’s be clear..Stephanie Beacham had her own show The Colbys which was dreadful and cancelled by season 3 . Joan Collins on the other hand powered Dynasty to the number one show that lasted nine seasons. Sorry but Stephanie just isn’t in the same league as Joan ….not even close .

Sets on The Colby's always looked nicer. The Carlton didn't look much different then a Holiday Inn yet La Mirage seemed alot nicer.
