One of the writer's notes said something like ''I am trying to write my villains as if they are the protagonists of another story.'' That explains why the manga is so good.
Thanks for the recommendation! I checked it out shortly after watching your vid and I'm enjoying it so far. Gives me something to read while I'm waiting on my main series
Good news, Ragna Crimson already confirm to get anime on 2023, I really hope they animate the the whole story seeing the manga currently about to enter final arc Edit: it still going on, I thought it's done turn out it just finish 1st arc
Are you sure? As far as i can remember Artemisia is one of the six dragon kings. So once they have killed her they have to kill the 5 others and then their "God". Seems unlikely that it's the final arc.
If you meant the series is getting into the climax of the arc then yes, But nope the story will not end soon since ragna still have to hunt the other Dragon brethrens
I would say that is just the end of the begining, latest chapter of manga shows that the strongest enemies they're fighting are just babies in comparison to those real deals that yet to show face
I watched the video, started reading, finished it up to the current chapter, and now I'm back. Also I'm sad cause I caught up, but I can say in my personal opinion this is elite. The fights are wicked to read through and some panels just catch you. This was dope and I want more chapters.
I'd actually go a bit further and say if you're interested in anything fantasy related, try it out. I'm not a huge fan of dark fantasy and it intrigued me enough to grab a copy a few months back. A really fun read all around. Still need to grab Vol. 2.
The anime started off kind of ok, but they fumbled it hard in the large scale battle. It just kind devolves into non-joined clips midway and fails to get the plot across. I still don't understand what happened and they fail to move on with the story for several episodes so I might lose patience and stop watching.
I am so glad someone else is talking about this manga because I freaking love it! But I completely agree with you that it’s not really anything new that hasn’t been done but that the fact that someone put enough hard work and effort and passion and love into it and give a damn is what makes it so captivating. And honestly that’s what I like to see you can be original if you want to but if you take things from other media into your work but use it in your own creative way that I’m OK with it I don’t mind seeing tropes being reused as long as you can execute it in a way that I would enjoy. So thank you for talking about this manga because I am so glad that someone else likes this.
Yoo Ronin you should do a second video on it before the anime drops and you should really do a video on Undead Unlock - it's a shonen underdog rn that quite possibly has the best post timeskip arc
Don't have to watch this right now but had to comment cause I saw the thumbnail and whatever praise your gonna give it is 200% deserved( also has some of the best art I've ever seen in my life)
Here midway through the anime adaptation and after reading the whole manga a whole back. I have absolutely no idea why Ragna Crimson isnt getting more attention, but I will blame it on Silver Link being the production company more than anything tbh. There is very little advertising for the anime and the animation could be leagues better once you read the manga and see how much could be done with it
Bro the anime came out like yesterday and I looked everywhere to find your video cause I KNOW you were speaking th truth way before anyone even heard of ragna crimson
Yō, I haven't started your video yet, but I'd like to say thanks for saying this is underrated. I've also read the manga but fell off because of its monthly releases though it is getting an adaptation. makes me happy and it will draw some attention to it... now on to your video. 👍
6:01 Personally, I don't care about tropes or cliches being used. The reason why they keep coming up again and again, is because they work. They're building blocks of story structure and while they may not be in every story, but it is near impossible to avoid them. Instead of dreading the appearences of a trope or cliches, one should focus on how it was executed in the story within the story.
Here before people who watch the upcoming anime will watch this lol. This is the next big Anime, if the studio behind the Anime adaptation follow the Manga. 🔥🔥🔥
Well you've convinced me I'm going to check this out once I'm done with all the other stuff I have before it but this is definitely something I'm interested thanks for the video well done well put together and I can't wait to read it
Even I accidentally stumble on this manga and now I'm waiting for new chapters... The way the characters died one by one reminds me of JJK...and the best part about this manga is how you never know if a character is coming back to life or not..
I dont know what is going on but a lot of very good animes are getting overlooked and having meh ratings such as Ragna Crimson. Love this anime. Another one that came out recently was Lv1 Maou to One Room Yuusha, which was amazing also.
That is because most people go by the 3 episode rule and this anime's first 4 ep were basically the setup for story so people dropped it before even reaching the best parts in anime. Hopefully they will realise it and rewatch it when it ever gets popular
Hey broken ronin I wanted to know if you were going to watch the jujutsu kaisen movie because I would like to see your opinion on it. I just seen it last night and it was beautiful also maki had me feeling some type of way 😂
I read to the latest I think ch 60 and found it on my local bookstore and it’s pretty good story is well and I like it when they actually gives backstory to the dragons and personality and with our main character overpowered but not too much and that he has his struggles
I can confirm that Ragna Crimson is a gem. I have read the entire series front to (latest) release twice and it's a fantastic read. Massive spoiler territory below Honestly the existence of Carlas is so fucking terrifying to me. Literal THOUSANDS upon thousands of female clones are raised for the sole purpose of fueling the war effort against dragonkind. Their ONLY purpose in life is to grow up, follow orders, and heal soldiers until they literally die of exhausting their own bodies from using healing magic. What's even scarier is that we know for a fact that Carlas are fully capable of having human emotions and are sentient. Dragons have wiped out human civilization multiple times and are obviously the biggest 'enemy' of mankind, but the cult of the sun god has bloodied their hands while fighting back from what is essentially the mass slave production of Carlas.
Apparently there was an original Carla the Time Saintess as the sun god mentioned. We have no idea what happened but seems like the cult was trying to recreate her power by cloning thousands of her copies.

Is this one of those series where the MC just stomps everything or is there actual tension/back and forth winning

Ragna Crimson is FIRE!!!! And it's getting an Anime in 2023!

Ah I've been following this one for a while and is definitely a crazy ride.
The second fight of Ragna vs Woltekamui is in the Top 3 manga fights of the last 2 years! Epic in everything
The "9 Seconds of Bloodshed" and "No Words Needed" chapter goes hard af
