It felt like you were speaking directly to me. I’ve been copywriting for 7 months now, I’ve taken a million courses and literally every job that comes my way. Feature articles, social media, email marketing, website copy etc. and every new job I take I feel more overwhelmed and confused. Such good advice and il be implementing all of it! Thank you
My steps following this video: 1. Choose an Adventure - Copywriter 2. Choose a Mentor - Alex Cattoni! #Posse 3. Craft your Freelancer USP - I help brands to write emails that are authentic, creative and empathetic to help them become people's super-fave. 4. Find clients 5. Level up!
I am working towards this goal and I fit in 'no vacation request needed', I need to make a comfy living and that´s enough for me, which makes goals a little easier to get.
--> What I think it suppose to be : Some really good input -->What it actually is: Empty rhetoric Course promotion 4:44 -->What I learn: Don't go with the thumbnail -->What I do: Again will fall for this trap😅
I´ve heard recently from a neuroscientist professor that first we must learn how to make (smart) decisions. This definitely low our stress level and help us design a path and a plan. We are NOT going to do everything!
I have been feeling overwhelmed and stressed trying to just figure out where to begin and get clients because it's not been easy. Sometimes I feel like I am not doing enough because I have not gotten a client yet. I have found myself all of sudden learning about VA, copywriting, Web designing. I am so tensed but thanks for the video. Really helpful 👌
Been freelancing for 8 months only landed two clients for testimonials- I am definitely doing something wrong 😞. Thank you for the video, will sign up for the master class 😊
Yes that’s exactly it you nailed it! Trying to do all the things and yes all the master classes all the coaches all the classes all the all the all the lists everything everything everything oh my goodness too much and it has stalled me. Thank you so much for this I truly needed this kick in the butt
Hello, I have been following you since 2020 when the pandemic first wreaked havoc on the world. Anyhow, I wanted to thank you for all the things I have learned from you. Truly appreciated.
Mentor Alex you nailed it. Attented many webinars, learning many skills as much as I could and nothing is working. Your channel pop up and I clicked subscribed.
In summary, how to make 10k/month from scratch: 1. Choose your adventure 2. Find your mentor 3. Craft your freelancer unique selling proposition 4. Find clients 5. Level up, charge more money and attract bigger clients
This was money! Got to just focus on one sector and go after that for a while. It's inspiring hearing you sharing things you learned from your journey thank you.
Hi Alex, I am following you for 2 years now but you are too good & giving so much value to people, it's worth subscribing to your channel, blessing to you.🙂
Thats true i cannot master every skill but the freelancing market demand s to do everything. Asks me to do social media marketing, purch a client hook a client .. i m a web designer though. People start blaming that we dont want to do. May be becos they are able to do they think everyone should fo the same .
Congratulations Alex, being nominated for INSPIRING WOMAN OF THE YEAR,,your videos are outstanding, appreciated 300,000 subscribers and giving us support and encouragement for our lives
Thank you! Wrote the plan to resurrect my biz off this after a cross country move and a decade of having kids all but wiped out the dream. 🤣 Thanks very much!
Hi Alex. I am really enjoying your videos. I am a qualified physiotherapist, looking at changing careers and starting freelance copywriting in the health and fitness industry. I have a question that I'd love to hear your thoughts on if possible. For my USP do you think it is too broad for me to generally say I help 'businesses in the health and fitness industry', rather than focussing down even more specifically e.g. coaches/trainers, gyms, or sports clubs? Thanks for your time 😀
Exactly! "Businesses" is super general. You'll have an easier time attracting your ideal clients if you call them out directly - so saying "coaches", "gyms", etc.!
How important is it to ask the client for analytics about how the copy performed (ie- open rates, etc). I have some work samples to start my portfolio but the client ended our working relationship before I could see the implementation of the writing (email sequence). Thoughts?
I can relate to all of them. However, the step #1: Slow mornings is a piece of advice that can make mothers mad. I try and try, I used various techniques (getting up early to get MY morning --> failed because it is not compatible with "working late at night after they finally sleep"); use the morning as mommy-and-me time (failed because the kids are terribly fussy in the morning) or have MY morning after they are gone (failed, because I can work without interruption until 12:30PM, no time for MY morning). I try to integrate 5 minutes, a simple prayer at the open window, few minutes of yoga and drinking coffe. But... I wish for more and envy anytone who can get that 😀
Hi Alex, I like writing, and it seems that copy-writing has sparked creative excitement within me, but I do notice that the way I write can sometimes be unclear, and I find it a bit hard to take the ideas from inside my mind and structure them into really good writing. I notice flaws in my own writing and I am wondering if learning copy-writing can help create more cohesion and make it easier to write? or would I need to source a different course to improve my over all writing ability as well as study copy-writing? I hope this has made sense ! thank you very much your videos and your time !
I love your content, and it’s been super helpful for me! Being part of the posse has put a lot in perspective and has helped me a lot! This was a great video, and I also hoped you would go more into what you did and didn’t do during your first year. Steps 1 and 2 made sense, but around step 3 it sounded like it was less about your specific journey and more general advice. Were steps 3-5 things you didn’t do during your first year? Or was it something about the way you did them you would do again? And did you start doing them in 2013 and that’s how at the end you got your income? You might have a video or blog post about that as well, so I’ll take a look. Thank you!
I didn't niche down my OFFER right away. That's the big piece I was missing. Once I decided to focus on writing emails - and pitching that to potential clients - that's when everything started taking off for me.
Hey Alex I am confused about a question is there are many formula for sales copy for apply but when and what is the right position and place to apply these formula and will we have to use all the formula for a one copy ?
There are tons of formulas out there :) however they are not meant to be used the exact same way for everything that you write. More than anything they act as "guides" to remind you what core components you need to include, etc.
Hello Alex I always enjoy your content, you speak with so much enthusiasm. Its contagious 😊 Can you be my mentor? I really want to learn this and fast too. But i really feel lost as to finding my niche. I need expert advice and guidance. Thank you.
i'd be happy with ur starting income hahaha tp be fair I live in Colombia and the buying power of that money is 4x what u would get in a developed country
Thanks so much for watching! No, I don't offer 1:1 mentoring. However I do offer a form of group mentoring via my LIVE 8-week copywriting coaching program. I open enrollment to it once a year :)

Great question! It isn't necessary, but of course it is always helpful to know how your copy preformed!
I can relate to all of them.

how to get client on linkedIn as a beginner marketer?? ,make a video on this topic
noted :)
I want to start but I don't know what to do
What if your services kinda go together? Like brand strategy, Copywriting and web design?
You could combine them -- absolutely! Just keep in mind clients might not be looking for all 3.
