I got a tape dispenser from Amazon that is inner changeable to both sizes of tape, holds up to 4 rolls for tape and semi auto cuts the tape at an inch and a half for you! best $20 bucks I ever spent! The Brand of tape dispenser is Echomerx
I usually see water drops when people complain a tape has left yellow marks. I wonder if the water is causing the issue sometimes. Haven't tested that myself. I like using the blue tape.
Love that mouse pad - those who have ruined mugs from tape marks could use their mugs by taking scraps of infusible ink and put them on the mug like a mosaic
Thanks, Angie. I use the large blue tape (that comes 6 to a box). I already had a large and regular sized dispenser that I use for Scotch Tape and Packing tape, so the large spool was not an issue for me. I do like the Cricut tape, but the multi-roll large tape is so much mire economical. And I have yet to find a dispenser that it really fits well on.
I have used the yellow tape for awhile and haven’t had issues. However, when I took the ceramic cups outside in the sunlight, I could see the yellow tape marks. I will only use that type for full wraps now. I love the Cricut brand. I haven’t found a tape dispenser that fits any of my tape well. I’ll have to try your suggestions.
I used the cricut tape on the ceramic mug and when I take the cup out in the sunlight I can see the yellow tape marks also. Is there any solution for this? What tape do you recommend when I am not doing a full wrap on a mug? Thanks!
I watched your youtube video on seamless tumblers. You used a stretchy heat resistant tape. You said it was from Artesprix but I have not been able to find it.
Love the mousepad! Could you share what infusible ink paper you used and where you get your mouse pads, as well as pressing info? Thank you so much! Love your videos!
It was a mouse pad from Amazon. Just look for a sublimation mousepad. I did use sublimation for that one and I put the links to my printer/ink/paper in the description.
Hello I started following you, and I saw your video so helpful I started my sublimation business, when I started sublimation on my clear glass coffee cups after I pressed them with heat press machine I saw a lot of tape marks on my clear cups that ruined my projects, do you have any suggestions please although I changed the cups I thought the wrong from the coating but no I still facing this problems and please I need your advice Thanks in advance
Thanks for sharing Angie! I've been looking all over the place for a tape dispenser that holds the 1 1/2" core for the Cricut transfer tape to no avail. I've only found a 1" or 3" replacement core. I know you said that it is a little loose. Have you since found another one or would you suggest I purchase the one you have on your link?
Thanks for the video, havevyiu tried these on a clear glass can im seeing tape marks on it..any help would be appreciated! I used buth the yellow and clear tape from Amazon
Hi I have found that the cricut heat tape does not stick to the inside of a stainless tumbler when trying to tape your image a little over inside the top of the tumbler was surprised at this happening
i am glad you did this comparison. I have some that is Ok-ish. and did wonder what a recommended brand would be. A dispenser is a big selling point because it is a hassle to not have one. I don't want to buy a huge one I have never had the yellow tape leave a mark. but if it does leave a mark on a mug I bet your viewers could get it off with fingernail polish remover. That is probably not a good idea on fabric though.
Hi Angie, I bought the Siser red tape and I'm taping to 100% polyester white fabric and doing sublimation. The red dyes onto my white fabric and I can see where the tape was. Why do you think this is happening?
I have them all linked in the description below this video. On computer, scroll down and click show more. On mobile, click the arrow to expand the description or swipe up depending on how you are watching.
I have PYD heat tape and I did a 20oz tumbler and my design was Tweety Bird and as you know it’s yellow and it left tape marks. I did a different design on a tile I did that has blue in the design and it left tape marks. Is there a certain way to put the tape on to avoid the tape marks? It’s becoming annoying now
this video did not answer my concern. I am sublimating two sided keychains one side at a time and have tape marks on the unsublimated side that show up when I sublimate that side later on.
Ok, I have the solution! Most two sided blanks (earrings, keychains, etc.) have a plastic protective film that gets peeled off before sublimating. When sublimating the first side, do not remove the protective film from the 2nd side where you will be placing your overlapped tape. However, (Angie's favorite word), you do need to wait until the blank is cool from sublimating the first side in order to peel off the film from the second side. Otherwise, it's gummy while still warm. Hope that's helpful!
Hi I mistakenly took off a few letters, so I used my Cricut heat resistance tape to hold the letters in place, heated it again, but can't take the tape off without taking the letters off, could you help me????
Thanks for your info. I've bought the Cricut tape and like it, but why on earth did they have to make the roll a tiny bit larger. So it wobbles on a tape dispenser.
I got a roll of cricut heat tape with my mug press but it's too large for my standard size tape dispenser. is any 3"core dispenser supposed to fit the large core heat tape?
@@AngieHolden I think I'm going to wrap the 'core' with something. masking tape perhaps? and see if I wrap it enough - it will enlarge it enough to allow my tape rolls to fit.
we’ve been practicing on shirts, mugs, aprons etc. however, the outline of the tape and paper stay after we press. It doesn’t go away after a couple of minutes and even after being washed. The marks still stay there. Parts of the image come out clear and some faded. We really want to figure out what we’re doing wrong 😓
Has anyone ever had a yellow tape work fine but then one day (same temp, same mug, same pressure etc) it starts leaving marks? I am wondering if direct sun on the tape when I wasn't using it has done it!
Hi Angie, Do you know why imprints from the heat tape shows on my tumblers after taking them out of the tumbler press? Every place I put tape on to secure the image shows up on my tumblers after sublimating as if it’s a part of the design. I’ve wasted a few tumblers because of this. Could it be the tape I’m using, pressure, heat etc.? I’ve tried different heat tape brands and it hasn’t fixed the issue.
I have not seen anyone talk about this problem but on my sublimated tumbler I can see where the tape was along the spine. The image transferred but where there was the tape the image is a little darker so you can see all the tape marks along the spine. Anyone else have this issue? Solutions?
I am having the same issue 😢 The only thing I am finding is that we need to use a protective paper before heating such as shrink wrap if using an oven or butcher paper if using a tumbler press... I just started using a press, so I'm going to buy some butcher paper before I ruin any more tumblers
I’ve just started with sublimation, I find your videos are SUPER helpful😀thank you Angie
Thanks for watching!
Thank you so much for taking the time to do this. It is greatly appreciated 🙏
This video came at just the right time, thank you Angie!

It is on their website.
Thank you Angie. How about in glass can, I have used tape that leave tape residue can you suggest best tape for glass?
I use Cricut or Artesprix or PYD Life.

My guess would be the tape brand.
Another great comparrison thank you for sharing.

I use the Cricut, Artesprix, and PYD life brands on glass without issue.
Which tape is the “stretchy tape” that you have referred to?? Thank you
I find of the brands I use that Artesprix is the stretchiest.
great review ty for trying them
No problem 👍
@@AngieHolden you are welcome honey
Another great helpful video thanks 😊
Hi I have found that the cricut heat tape does not stick to the inside of a stainless tumbler when trying to tape your image a little over inside the top of the tumbler was surprised at this happening
I made some like this the other day but I think I used the Artesprix tape. I will have to try the Cricut next time to test it.

Maybe a bad batch of tape? I have not had that issue but I think it could happen!
So where can i find all these tape kinds ...coukd you put the names here plz lol im checking amazon and cant seem to find them 🤷♀️

Is there a way you can remove heat transfer tape marks from polyester shirts?

Why does the tape leave marks in the neoprene coasters? I don’t know where to put it down now
Yep neoprene is the worst. I try to make the paper larger than the blank. You can see in the koozie video: ruclips.net/video/Anz9MyzIuA8/видео.html
Great video! Thanks for sharing,
Thanks for watching!
I've heard you can just use painters tape as it is heat resistant and way less expensive.
I don't find that works as well but if it works for you then go for it!

If they sublimated, the ink should be in the surface and you would just remove the paper that you added.
Thanks for your info. I've bought the Cricut tape and like it, but why on earth did they have to make the roll a tiny bit larger. So it wobbles on a tape dispenser.
It is wobbly! I will totally agree there!
I use foam tape on around the core so that the Cricut tape roll will fit snugly.
My hubby made a tiny bit larger center roller out of wood to place the tape on. VERY snug now LOL
Good tip!
Great video. Thank you
Glad you liked it!
I have also used the yellow tape from Amazon and have had no issues what so ever. Maybe the problem is with the operator. Js, ✌🏼❤️😁
There are definitely some tapes that leave a yellow mark.
Yeahhh... I have the Amazon yellow tape and it just ruined 2 tumblers.
I got a roll of cricut heat tape with my mug press but it's too large for my standard size tape dispenser. is any 3"core dispenser supposed to fit the large core heat tape?
Yea I opened a new roll yesterday and was like "what in the world". They used to fit.....now they really don't fit any tape dispenser that I know of.

Does Copper tape work for thermal tape applications?
I don't know about that type of tape.
width size for tumblers
Can anyone tell me how to get the red stain off of my white cups. The tape is the siser tape as shown in the viedo.
I haven't ever had an issue with that tape! You may not be able to get it off.
How does the tape work with dark transfers that are face up?
Dark transfers that are face up adhere to the surface. I think the tape would be okay. It may leave marks.
@@AngieHolden ok thanks for responding
I am new to this. I watched someone use 3M painters tape. Have you ever heard of someone doing this ?? It seams weird lol
I think that would melt and damage your blank.
