  • Bob and Kitana return to the Bensalem home where they changed out the porch posts and built in bench seats for new fiberglass posts and vinyl railings.
This time Bob and Kitana are repairing the rotted decking and replacing it with 5/4 x 6 pressure treated decking boards. We also added some very nice picture framing around the entrance to the porch.
With the threat of a thunderstorm we completed the job just in time.
For those interested in some of the tools we used in the video:
The plate vice can be found here: amzn.to/3mIOFqb
The board straightener can be found here: amzn.to/3t0Idvy
    Thanks for watching,
    Bob

Oddly enough, the customer likes those fans and won’t get rid of them.

The carpet is going to hold moisture and cause the new decking to rot out over time.

Oddly enough the deck has been there for over 20 years and the structure isn’t rotted one bit. I told him that it was a possibility but I can only do what I’m permitted to do.
The top Decking near the outside edge was obviously rotting but that was probably from years of sitting out beyond the porch overhang in the weather.
