@@EngineAdventures I think you have. I also think the "high speed" dirt road test is very useful for those of us who regularly drive deeply rutted and washed out muddy logging roads. Thanks
I had a 2019 Pro 4x which I loved. I now have a 2021 that has all the options with the exception of sun roof. I took it offroad 3 days after purchasing it. Tight, narrow pathways that had steep angled approaches, large rocks, etc. Truck did a fantastic job! The 2021 also gets better mpg that the 2019 that I had.
@@goingindieEN $52,000 but my new one was closer to $63,000. It does have more technology though. I love the adaptive cruise control. I am not sure if it is true, but I feel like the 2021 rides much more smoothly along the highway, and seems to have less road noise as well.
Thanks for the support! it is a great truck, especially if you get a good deal on it. Interesting, you just taught me something about RUclips, this video is unlisted (not supposed to be out until next week) but because I put it in the playlist it shows up there. Now I know not to add to the playlist until I set a scheduled date for the video.
I really was looking hard at these. I ended up with a trail boss with the 6.2l because I honestly liked the simplicity for the chevy and the exterior appearance. I think ultimately this is one of the best valued trucks on the market, and I think if I had chose this instead I would have been happy as well.
And right now they are like $12k off depending on where you live. Great deal for a great truck! I also love the 6.2, and the Trailboss is similar in offroad capability, but had the additional factory lift.
That thing turns into a billy goat in low range! Stomped right up that hill. I wonder what the long-term effects of brake wear are for someone using the traction control system.
It takes a lot to wear or overheat the brakes. It my testing I don't remember having a braking system overheat on any vehicle. Usually its the trans or AWD system. Having the locker in is better for precision movements where slipping isn't an option, however ABLS is great to allow for tight turns without binding the axles.
@@nateallen2709 I agree, my brother has a lifted Rubicon and while wheeling at Windrock in Tennessee, it was often easier to let traction control sort things out. While lockers offer maximum traction, the traction control system would often ease the Jeep forward carefully in some situations that lockers would have us skatings sideways.
Certainly had that happen in my testing as well. The Ram 2500 doesn't have a rear locker, but climbs my test hill in a straighter line that the GMs with the G80 and the Fords with the rear e-locker. All of them make the climb no problem, the Ram just doesn't slide side to side as much.

@@benb4343 thinking of trading in my 2018 gmc canyon because I wish I got the 4wd. You pretty happy with the titan? I'm cross shopping the titan, new frontier refresh, tacoma, and new tundra refresh.
It's a great truck! Especially if you can get a good deal on one. I agree with you that they are overlooked. A lot of people won't think to look at the Titan when buying a half ton truck. However, generally the competition has more to offer.
@@EngineAdventures horribly sluggish from a start. Hard up shifts from 3-4 gear. And when slowing down around 15mph a very frequent and noticeable clunk when shifting from 2-1 gear. They are loud! I switched out my stock General grabbers for Cooper discoverer at3 XLTs, which are taller and have a more aggressive tread, and they are silent on the highway compared to stock.
I just bought a new Titan Pro 4X and LOVE it! Amazing truck. So overlooked and underrated.
Congrats on your purchase! Thanks for watching and commenting!
I bought A 21 XD Pro4X this is a beautifully refined and capable Truck over its last style the tech in this truck is amazing!
I have filmed a 2020 XD which is pretty much the same as the 2021. However this one was a Platinum Reserve. Not sure when I will get that video up.
Good to hear I'm trying to buy one now...hard to find out here...mind if I ask how much it ran you?

I bought mine about 3 months ago but haven’t been off road. This video/test is awesome! Showing all the different options really helps.

I researched titans have motor knock issues leading to full motor swaps. Then I hear paint chips easily.
Can you discuss this in a video?
My understanding is that was an issue with cylinder #7, for the 16-19 model years. Should be fixed on all new engines with better/more oil jets.
