I just got the Aful Performer 5 and these Fiio JH5 which both has the same setup, 4 BA and 1 DD drivers. Price difference was $130. I find that these perform really good for the price and feature it has. It is well built which is made up of 3D printed resin, very good quality as well as the sound. I find the Aful Performer 5 has better sound stage and separation and details but these Fiio seems not too far different from the Aful. I'm surprised why these are not hyped up compared to other IEM that are in the same price point.
Can it compete with some more expensive iems like the quintet? Or the quintet just smokes it in all aspects? I'm asking because you had pretty high praises for the quintet, great review!
I was going to buy the crinacle zero reds but now I'm leaning more toward these JH5... Have you tried the zero reds by any chance? Also any mic recommendation for gaming with these JH5?
Nice review on the , fiio , JH5s...I gotta ton of iems, and 2 fiio products...Btr1 bt dac amp, & fiio ff1s..Fiio ,besides giving ya an outstanding iem, the goodies, cables/ etc are top notch for the price..Only other company that ,ive seen that gives ya great sound ,and cable/ eartips, that i own is whizzer he01 b ..Anywho!! Thanx for ur review on the fiio, jh5s..
i mean for directional accuracy these are just as good as headsets, not sure how high end you mean but more expensive IEM/headsets will have better detail for sure
chu is a decently tuned affordable iem but its limitations are easily in the resolution department. The JH5 has more resolution, more bass, soundstage and imaging are also drastically improved

quintet has better subbass and treble detail, but JH5 has better midrange and vocal detail, overall maybe more balanced

yeah they have so many goodies with it and that cable is beautiful on JH5
