This song reminds me of the summer of 08, I was super depressed and I didn't see the sun once the entire summer. I slept through the day and would listen to this song, Red Sam, and Billy Talent on repeat while I was awake because it was the only thing that made me feel better.
Flyleaf isn't Flyleaf without Lacey. Lacey has such a unique voice and she's so much less commercial (basically much less camera-aware and doesn't act all all "look at me preform"). When singing she means every word and becomes totally into the song.
Flyleaf is a Christian band. That's why people would end up saying that. People have a choice of what bands to like though, however some people get upset at a song after learning it's true meaning.

Your right, everyone has there own ideas, its not that religion is important each person finds hope in what they really believe in. Im atheist but it doesnt make me a bad person. I've often been told that im too nice. Everyone is equal and each person breathes the air that they wish to breathe, the tint is just what makes it real, and what makes us human, we wouldnt be human if we didnt have struggle.
I'm Buddhist and I adoraed this song even after I found out what religion it was. We're all just people in the end fighting for the same thing. Acceptance.

Seriously. I'm Wiccan and Flyleaf is one of my favorite bands. I hate it when people way you can't listen to Christian bands if you aren't Christian.
