- The Cambridge University Jazz Orchestra (CUJO) is Cambridge's premier vehicle for promoting and performing jazz in the University and beyond.
CUJO brings together the top jazz musicians in the university. We have performed in numerous professional venues in the UK and overseas on national and international tours, won gold awards in UK-wide big band competitions and have collaborated with world-famous musicians, composers and arrangers such as Steve Waterman, Mark Nightingale, Trish Clowes and Yazz Ahmed.
The group is 18-strong and plays a wide variety of music, including arrangements performed by the leading big bands of today such as Bill Holman, Bob Curnow, NYJO, Bob Florence, and the Lincoln Center and Maria Schneider Jazz Orchestras. We do stay committed to our roots however - our pads feature the full repertory of standards, swing, and funk as well as a number of classic vocal charts.
We have years of experience playing many different styles - our primary focus is on our concert performances but we are also always in demand to perform for dance events including numerous Cambridge May Balls and private functions - please don't hesitate to get in touch with us if you have any questions about CUJO!

It's a shame that these young musicians put all this work in just to have their video covered with quotes from Whiplash.
Don't anybody else quote that movie on here or I will demolish you.
lmao thats what brought them here in the first place, so you just keep your trap shut.
Back off before I DEMOLISH you

Do i look like a double fucking rainbow to you?
The performance of the band is very good, but I don't think the recording is that good.
That’s because it’s not your tempo
@@fathersredeemed Irrelevant. I commented on the recording quality, not the tempo.
@@GokhanDamgaci it was a joke.
@@fathersredeemed Yeah, yeah, Whiplash movie references...the song was there before the movie, though.

Raisinets in popcorn 🍿!
Why wasn't the drummer playing at the beginning??
He dragged it.
Because he was scared at having a chair thrown at him.
Is he dragging or rushing?
"Good Job" 😂

I see no bald conductor
Drums not quite my tempo
Not quite my tempo
There is some one his tune is not true.
Pardon my toe stepping but; as a pretentious drummer for 50 years, I've heard thousands of hours of jazz. Despite being more of a prog player...My point; this piece is Meh...Compared to stuff like Skin Deep or even Caravan...There's decades of amazing Jazz...This piece reminds me of what you'd hear in at a decent restaurant...Just sayin...:)...But; these young people did a great job...
This is cheeks
I believe the drummer was rushing a bit, especially at the start.
Rushing or dragging?
