after 4 years.. who would have thought what you done to them by stopping by this place... i made a stop here in 2018 and found your postcard and so did many others... i told the guy that 2 famous people now stopped by here.. and he knew and show me your postcard... Kara an Nate are contagious in your stops.. in a good way.. memories!
I have subscribed to a lot of channels but this is my first vlog channel, you guys are awesome cool, the journeys are really interesting and the way you appreciate Indian food is respectable, I am from Hyderabad, India settled in Toronto, if you ever visit it you will find the perfect combination of North and South India, a modern and a multicultural place. All the best.
I m a fairly new subscriber, and I fell inlove with these two. I watched their 100th country documentary and it inspired me to watch the whole thing from the start! Now I restricted myself from watching the bloops from 100 countries. Im gonna watcg that after watching everything from the beginning. That vid, and rewatching the 100th country will be my reward!!!
Things I have learned about Nate and Cara so far..... 1. Cara can sleep anywhere 2. She has a coffee addiction 3. They seem to not like super crowded places 🙂 I love this vlog I wish I would’ve discovered it sooner.
New subscriber here after discovering y’all when you visited SLV in the Bahamas. I’ve always been obsessed with traveling and getting immersed in a new country ever since I lived in Slovakia for 2 years after college in 96 so a long long time ago. You’re giving me life watching your explorations. I can’t wait to visit Chiang mai one day.
The hand travels! 😁😆🤣🤣 I have just found y'all a few days ago and I can't stop watching. I'm in S.C. USA I am traveling vicariously through your travels. 😁
We are headed to Thailand in February and enjoying your videos! Though we have most of our trip already planned its always nice to see what others are doing. Keep up with your travels while you can! Tip: Never, ever, never....EVER buy a 3rd class train ticket....anywhere! I've traveled on trains in Europe where trains are halfway decent and would never buy a 3rd class ticket ;-)
You guys are funny and fun to watch. I've been watching your videos for 3 days now. Anyway I'm from Singapore. Keep doing what you loved guys! SUBSCRIBED!
Ah, Chiang Mai train station. Sometimes I still have dreams of arriving there on that morning train. Your Thailand vlogs are making me super homesick. After 26 years, I'm afraid I will never be able to go back.
it has only been a year since I have been there, but change may was so fuzz! Thank you for showing me around again. I know your pain of the train, I was able to book a sleeper car for my wife and I. I loved it, my wife not so much.
I would have done the same as you - spend one night more in Chiang Mai instead of Bangkok, and the 3rd class travelling 'experience' which makes things memorable.
I think Kara is a quart low on coffee here. Lol, a happy Kara is a caffeinated Kara...Nate's the best hubby taking care of his lady! Great role model. If you already have done it I'll keep looking for it. If not have you thought about doing a video about your top 5 places you visited and why? I'm digging the Everest base camp posts. I'm making that my must-do for the bucket list. -Jeremy
12:15 that type of door can be tricky sometime when you realize that the way to lock it is by pushing the lock button behind the door before you close it..
I like your guys' teeth. And thanks for all the advice. I'm going in February 2017 and will definitely be booking the sleeper train for sure. Can't sit that long. :)
Nate and Kara you guys need to revisit India and go to some different cities and try the food I promise you will be surprised by the variety and flavors.
I don’t know how you guys stay in shape while eating all those delicious food. I’m guessing it all the walking and scuba diving but I need to know your secret. I look at cheesecake and I feel my thigh expanding. Actually I’m watching all your videos from the beginning and I had gain pounds just watching.. great video
I would have been way more hangry than Kara was. She held upp awesome. This must have one of the most tirering days for travel for you gys. It is unreal you managed to get up from that bed. Food is tho essential. So probably why you managed. Awesome market so worth the walk. So long without water and toilet. Dang !
+Ollie smither it's definitely one of our favorite countries! If you go, make sure to plan enough time for visiting the islands in the South and Chiang Mai in the North! Those are our two favorite parts of the country. Bangkok is interesting for a couples days as well.
I just have soooo totally fallen in love with your travels and all that you are doin.....just one thang so far (constructive criticism) please turn down the volume of you music. I have to constantly turn your voice volume up, yet when you stop talking and transition to the tunes -I’m blasted 😫
North Indian food - Persian influence dishes... Naan Refine carbs...DIP Sauces in THailand... YOu guys really love South Indian food... I guess than the breads...
Naan is not persian influenced , who told you , being ambarsariya its local food , naan , bhature , chulche , roti , poori , papad . Dude its local indian food . Persian influenced is Pulao , Kabab , biryani , nihari , haleem etc .
You actually unlock it everytime you swicth the key, the way to do it is just push the lock button on the other side of the door handle and close it.. :D
Hey Kara and Nate! I know this is an older video but my questions relate to Chiang Mai so I figured I should put this here haha. So in June I am going to be going to Chiang Mai and it will be my first time going anywhere outside of North America! Now I know you know I've seen all your vlogs and am definitely going to try out a lot of the stuff you guys have done and the food you've eaten but I was wondering if there was any tips/tricks you have to being in Thailand or whether there were things you wished you would have had time for that maybe I could check out? Also I was wondering what kind of editing software Kara uses? I would like to vlog my travel to Chiang Mai and my stay there so I can look back on it and your videos are just so put together that I figured I should ask! You don't need to answer my questions but I just thought I would ask in case you might. Thanks! I love you guys and your videos. I always look forward to seeing a new vlog from you in my RUclips feed.
+Shawnay Taylor you are too sweet! I'm SO excited you get to go to Chiang Mai - one of my favorite places in the world :) How long will you be there? I would love to answer your questions! I'm glad you watched our vlogs - I recommend all the things we did. No regrets! One thing I was super bummed to miss were the tigers! There's a place where you can play with them. I don't know much about it, but several people recommended it to us and we didn't have time. Another activity we ran out of time for was a "monk chat." You can talk to one and ask him anything you want for a half hour! I have soooo many questions, so if you go let me know ;) "Hello" sounds like "Sah-wah-Dee-kah" "thank you" is "cob-coon-kah" And very delicious is "A-Roy-mak-kah" those were my most used phrases. Boys end with "kop" instead so don't be confused. Be careful with tuk tuk drivers ripping you off. Walking is more fun anyways :) Bring pepto tablets to eat within 30 minutes after eating something sketchy. It keeps you from getting sick and you can try more things :) Other than that, make sure you eat tons of Khao Soi for me and get a Banoffee every day :) I use Adobe Premiere Pro to edit! Please let me know if you have any more questions. I hope this helps :)
+Kara and Nate thank you so much for all this information! I really appreciate it!! I will be going for two weeks to Chiang Mai. I really do appreciate you taking the time to answer my questions it was super helpful! I will definitely look into the monk chat and see if I can do that in my two weeks. If I can I will let you know and maybe you can give me your questions you would want to ask and I can ask for you!
+Kara and Nate just two more questions! My boyfriend (who I'm going with), when I told him you replied he then decided he wanted to ask some questions haha. He decided on; where did you guys rent your scooter/motorbike from? And if you could pick your top "must eat" place in Chiang Mai to go for food, where would that be?
Planning a Dec visit to Chiang Mai, Chiang Rai & Pai with family. Any hotel suggestions with good Indian vegetarian options? 🌱 #ChiangMai #ChiangRai #Pai #IndianVegetarian
I dont understand why you didn't keep some sort of energy bar handy for situation when no food. Of course Kara could have gotten something when Nate did that night before & just kept it until she felt hungry on train.
The ending of the video was the best part. You guys trying to lock the door was hilarious. I have never seen anyone have trouble locking a door in my whole life lol.
Street food is a nice experience, but quality (cleanliness) is questionable a lot. There are many restaurants at all levels that would cater to one’s budget in all of these countries. But I understand that street food and going to these “low end” places is also an experience as it is the real life of a majority of people in that country and gives you a nice idea...only if you can stay without stomach issues.😊 Guess after a while, stomachs become “international” as Kara said in another clip 👍
you traveled for 26 hours and then went to eat lunch and dinner when did you guys shower cuz you had the same clothes on. im not trying to sound rude but were you guys able to shower every day traveling the way you guys did. .
+Elizabeth Travels I think two guys got arrested for stealing stuff on train, but I can't be sure. It was the middle of the night and I was only half awake haha
Random observation: your teeth look amazingly white and clean throughout this video. You must do a check and floss before you film. Lol. Seriously, your pearly whites look amazing in HD.
+Kara and Nate too hot in there in May.. I am from Kolkata.. and you won't find too much in there.. my aunty lived there so I have visited 4 times there.. you will only find One Museum which is not that much great, Ramoji Rao Flim City and a fort.. nothing else in there..
+Pratyush Ghosh we're going to meet up with some people who have started a school and orphanage in Hyderbad. If those plans fall through we'll definitely consider some other destinations!
Oh.. Ok.. It's good.. So I guess this time I won't get the chance to meet with u guys.. Maybe nxt time.. Becoz I live in Kolkata which is in eastern part of India

+valluru sudeep thanks so much! We plan on visiting Hyderbad one day! We have some contacts there who have invited us for a visit!
Yes. You go to the Philippines to eat Thai food and you go to Thailand to eat Indian food. Amazing.

You guys are such good sports!
I love your good attitude toward traveling cheap. And your clever ways of doing it!

+Aydi Reva thanks for taking the time to comment and let us know :)
Thats cute how you guys were trying to lock the room - in case of round knobs the locking mechanism is from inside.
Ah, Chiang Mai train station. Sometimes I still have dreams of arriving there on that morning train. Your Thailand vlogs are making me super homesick. After 26 years, I'm afraid I will never be able to go back.

i ended up in the same trap in Thailand earlier this year!! My thai girlfriend had a big laught of me! :-D
I like your guys' teeth. And thanks for all the advice. I'm going in February 2017 and will definitely be booking the sleeper train for sure. Can't sit that long. :)
Keep it up guys! Greeting from Singapore:D
Thank you from Chiang Mai!

I look at cheesecake and I feel my thigh expanding. Actually I’m watching all your videos from the beginning and I had gain pounds just watching.. great video
Kara...Do you ever get headaches from not having coffee? How do you feel with it while travelling?
Nice video but music comes on loud and the talking isn't loud enough so constantly turning it up, then turning it down. And it's dunch!
I agree. The music is too loud.
Hahahahahahahahahahahahaha love the end part - the struggle with the door knob and the nail cutter.
I have watched ur latest vlogs and now binging on ur older vlogs Hahahhaha
Love your music guys. Very emo.
Kara getting hangry!!!
I would have been way more hangry than Kara was. She held upp awesome. This must have one of the most tirering days for travel for you gys. It is unreal you managed to get up from that bed. Haha thats quite funny with the snickers. I did that with the Bahn Mi in Vietnam when I was there for 2 months riding my motor :D
Do a video on tipping
Hi, you got a new subscriber. You make lovely videos. Want to meet you whenever you come to India
That is a cool guitar riff on that song. What song is it? Does anyone know? Kara, Nate, do you guys know? Awesome video. Cool song!

I follow you everywhere, love you guys... but please !!! put the voice and the music at the same volume !!!!
i think u lock that door by push the button at the handle from inside of room and close the door..
Haha thankfully we finally figured that out! We were a little sleep deprived...
8:49 ❤
North Indian food - Persian influence dishes... Naan Refine carbs...DIP Sauces in THailand... YOu guys really love South Indian food... I guess than the breads...

You actually unlock it everytime you swicth the key, the way to do it is just push the lock button on the other side of the door handle and close it.. :D

Did you guys visit The Lost Book Store in Chiang Mai? Best 2nd hand bookstore in Asia I believe.

Why all the Indian food ..I mean its great but why not go local?
26 hours, Wow
I’d love to travel like this...but I’m tooooooo scared of getting food poisoning and my ocd would go crazy on some of ur hotels and travel avenues....
I know exactly how you feel if I don’t get my coffee in the morning watch out
You can find breakfast food at night while traveling because most countries consider that food dessert!
whats the song ?? very cool !!! very catchy !!
when is BEST indian food in India! happening?
MrKalra have you seen the latest blog yet??? It's so exciting!!!
Ikr! I LOVE Thai food and in Thailand all they are eating Indian lol
i have the exact same watch as you ! go timex
The ending of the video was the best part. You guys trying to lock the door was hilarious. I have never seen anyone have trouble locking a door in my whole life lol.
Kara isn't it called Chicken "Tikka" masala, instead of "Tikki" masala? Or are they different
you certainly don't look tired, despite the 27 hour ordeal
Guys go to India for best of the best Indian food
Are you going travel to Vietnam ??? It's next Cambodia.
Come to kerala ,india.

Why did I think that was a triceratops in the opening pics??
Is it just me or does the night market look like Atlanta in 2021
you traveled for 26 hours and then went to eat lunch and dinner when did you guys shower cuz you had the same clothes on. im not trying to sound rude but were you guys able to shower every day traveling the way you guys did. .
They were not. 3rd world countries often don't have clean water for showering and very few people shower daily there.
When in Rome act like a Roman. When in Thailand eat Thai food, which is BTW delicious.
Wow, careful with your bags on the train! In a way, it was a good thing you didn't sleep well: could have gotten your stuff stolen
+Elizabeth Travels I think two guys got arrested for stealing stuff on train, but I can't be sure. It was the middle of the night and I was only half awake haha
Its chiken tikka :)
Enjoy :)
26 hours..omg
omg we stayed here last october! it was awful
