It feels super rewarding! Couldn't feel the same if I arrived at a spot in a motorized vehicle, I think. It's especially rewarding when it's actually a spot you can enjoy with a good view. =)
Beautiful! Your videos are so calming and this one shows you don’t need loads of time, equipment and distance to go on a micro adventure and clear your mind!
Thank you so much for taking us on your little journey again. Sometimes the small things in live are the most precious ones - you just have to try them. Congratulations on your first self cooked bikepacking dinner. I think you and the stove became friends 😊
I cried a little while watching this as this is what my soul is desperate for, just that simplicity, exploring & just feeling free & at peace in nature. I have just bought a mountain bike & haven't rode for over 15yrs so I am a little nervous especially of sharing the road with traffic but it's something I will have to overcome & just start small although a part of me wants to cycle to Dover, England catch the ferry to France & cycle to the Netherlands to see the Tulips & explore places along the way, maybe that is a mission for the not so distant future.
Wooow, that sounds like a lovely lovely idea! You should totally do it! I totally get the traffic weariness, we all have that. But at the end of the day, you need to think that people don't want to hit you! Nevertheless, try to find as many bike lanes or small roads as possible. Perhaps following a Eurovelo bike way is a good option for you. Once you are in the Netherlands, it's bike lane heaven!
Yeah! I'm really starting to enjoy this media more and more. I was so intimidated by it for the longest time! I'll keep them going as long as I have a relevant message to share. =)
What a nice video. Makes me want to just jump on my bike for an overnighter to get away a short time from daily stresses. Thanks for sharing your journey and thoughts!
Very beautiful filming! It is nice how you pick up details as well in the filming, makes it as if we- the viewer are there too.I can relate to that it is easy to be comfortable so I think I will copy paste your your solution (thanks🤗)of an overnighter(with cooking 😉). It would be very interesting if you would like to show your bicycle(s) maybe in the future?!
It's a great, and relatively approachable way of getting a little break from routine and gain some perspective. Maybe I'll give gear videos a go, yeah! Always feel a little intimidated as I have very little technical knowledge but... I guess I've learned a fair bit by now. =)
Marvellous. You have put into words so poetically why I love to go off on mini solo bike rides with my tent. I promised to go off on my own at least once a year and started last year. Now I also have a walking trailer I am going to try this as well, along a GR or pilgrims route near where I live in France. Like you I am happy to be in familiar surroundings. I don't need to head off to Mongolia to find that personal space and tranquility. Happy adventuring❤
We have a similar promise to keep then! I just promised myself this year to go out once per season on a solo overnighter. And I'm already half way. Actually looking forward now to the summer one! Hiking is also such a big pleasure. And totally! No need to go far to reconnect with nature and find and adventurous feeling. =)
What an inspirational and artistic video yet again Belén! I love taking panniers too because they provide such flexibility for packing and yes, I love that you pack a Helinox chair as I do too. I love it at the end of the day so I can do my knitting. Great that you continue to push out of your comfort zone and are willing to share that vulnerability. I am sharing this video with my female friends to encourage them in their solo efforts. I too have found wind difficult to deal with in a tent. Just the noise alone will keep anyone awake/on the alert. I'm glad you didn't let it dampen your spirits! You really did recharge your spiritual batteries! Anything you post, whenever it comes on your own timeline, I will gladly make time for watching! Many thanks!
Thanks a lot for sharing! I feel like "packing light" is overrated, hahaha. I'd rather carry a couple more things that will make my overall experience more comfortable and enjoyable, like the Zero Chair! Knitting sounds like fun too! I just take out my e-reader or just spend a loooong time looking around. =)
Many thanks for this video, it came at the right time for me when I am struggling with very similar issues after many years of more intense and adventure life. It brings comfort to realize that others struggle too in a very similar way. By the way, I am amazed how you can go uphill 😅. Thanks again.
Hi there! So nice to read this. I can definitely tell that you are not alone in that feeling! For us, it does go both ways. Sometimes we abuse our time on the bike, outdoors, for weeks at a time. And then, because of the lack of comforts and digital work to catch up on, we lock ourselves indoors. Not great! Going on little overnighters or weekend trips seems to be a great reset for little lime availability. You can really disconnect and reconnect with a handful of hours moving outdoors. =)
Encontrar el equilibrio siempre es complicado. Nosotros es que nos pegamos al ordenador como lapas y se nos olvida que hay vida en el mundo exterior, jajaja.
❤I enjoy watching your inspiring videos... Great to see you out their and spending time alone, it gives othr women a great boost to get out there and ride...😊 Thanks see you soon😊
It’s the Exogen 1 from Wechsel Tents. We own the 1 person and the 2 person version but must say that the 1 person is extremely sweet. Very smartly designed and will plenty of space to store things inside with you. We’ve been using this one for 1.5 years already and so far hasn’t failed a single time and hasn’t required any maintenance. Our old MSR tent started leaking shortly after 1 year of use.
The pasta was SUCH a success! I was super impressed, hahaha. But I also kinda cheated with that tomato sauce which is already amazing on its own. Don't be scared! Start somewhere close to home and perhaps, set the tent at a regulated campsite where you know nothing will go wrong. =)
Thank you gor sharing your overnighter and very good storytelling. Can you please tell me about your shoes? I don't think you're wearing cleats, do you? And also I spotted a very strange bike lock, can you tell me about It? Oh One last questione about your saddle, what Is It? Thank you
Hi there! The shoes are the X-Alp Summit from Pearl iZumi. They are great hiking shoes WITH cleats. The sole is Vibram but it has actually worn out surprisingly fast, which is not that great. But good all-around shoes! The bike lock is the Blue Mini from Tigr lock. Just linked it in the description box of the video. They are very like, good looking and robust locks. We met the manufacturer on our US tour back in 2018 and have been using it ever since. =) And... I'm now testing a new saddle! This one is from Infinity Bike Seat, meant to be great to avoid saddle sores. Let's see!

Well, I studied architecture but quit that job 6 years ago to go travel by bike alongside my partner, Tristan. We were both into photography, video and media in general so we documented our travels out of fun. Nowadays, we are adventure cyclists and proudly represent different brands in the market as well as work on different commercial photography/video projects. Our trips are highly documented, so they are not the freecare travels we started with and they require us to spend an equal amount of time later behind the laptop editing or planning everything for the next project. Love it though!
Otro video excelente!
¡A ver qué pasa! Si siguiente video será mi primera vez combinando ambos, si todo va bien. =)
I'm quite small, and the bike is the smallest size available and my right frame size but the wheels (29") look massive! I've had smaller frames in the past, but actually, given my height, I have long legs-and a small torso-so it works well for me.
I agree. Setting up a bikepacking camp, either a tent or a hammock after day's cycling is the best moment during a bikepacking trip day.
It feels super rewarding! Couldn't feel the same if I arrived at a spot in a motorized vehicle, I think. It's especially rewarding when it's actually a spot you can enjoy with a good view. =)

When I saw Tristan again, I had to thank him for cooking for us all these past years, hahaha. But yeah! I think I'll cook again in the future. =)
You motivated me to run into the wild with my bike and do camping... You are an amazing soul, be blessed... Love you❤❤❤❤❤
This film is magnificent! Watching this just makes me feel good and so relaxed my friend! 🔥🔥
Thank you for letting us accompany you on your little time out. Sometimes it’s just simplicity, that makes our lives truly meaningful. ☺️
Another inspiring, wonderfully filmed and peaceful micro adventure 😎

That's all I hope for! It's physically demanding, of course, but also very rewarding! I hope you enjoy!
@@BelleToscan I know right... I've been Riding my bike for 100km every weekend, but never done the camping part of it.
These videos are phenomenal! I'm doing my first solo bikepacking trip tomorrow and watching these are reassuring that it's not that difficult
Hope it all went well!
Another great video Belen, your camera and editing skills are superb.
Cheers 🚲⛺👍
As always, another motivating and rewarding video 🥰

Thanks Monica! Hope you had a good winter season in the mountains! Hug from Valencia. =)
What a beautiful film, I like the way you tell the story and the softness of the sound and music. Thank you.

Thumbs up! What a relaxing video. You have palm trees in your backyard? I would be outdoors everyday. Enjoy it while you can.
Yes! They are very common in the Mediterranean coastline!

Take it slow and make sure you camp with enough light to make sure you can enjoy the area and rest a little. =)
