Rust spot repair video? Love your work and I appreciate the longer videos.
I try and avoid rust mate. That truck video was rust.
Another quality video mate
Thankyou
You make it look so simple
It may look this way but every job still takes alot of concentration 👍🏼
Glad I found your channel very good and informative I would like to get in touch with you some time if its possible thank you for the video
No problem
Great video. Do you have a video detailing how you setup the spray gun for a smart repair?
Not yet but its on the list
Hi Great videos really helpful
When sanding panels with scotch or 2000 paper for prep or lacquer flattening what soap do you use with water as some contain silicon I was told??
Thanks for help in advance
I just use normal car wash soap bud.
Very helpfull video! Did you sand the base coat before clear coat? Thanks
No i didn't. 3 coats of base with tac cloth inbetween then lacquer
Great video, thanks. What gun settings do you use?
All dials out
Nice video, what lamps are you using for paint and can you do a tour of your van and al the tools you carry?
I use infra red lamps mate. Not sure what the brand is as I've had them for years and they were second hand anyway
Hi joe from Malta, first thanks for your best job but what is the reason polishing before the whole work? thanks
It helps remove tar contaminants and doing work at lots of car sales garages u get in the Habbit of doing it to remove any polishes waxes and silicone put on by valeters
Super video. Are you using primer straight on the bumper without using adhesion promotor?
Yes, i do recommend using an adhesion promotor tho
could i follow this and do this on a bmw with alpine white 300? or will other white paints work?...great content keep it coming pls
It should be exactly the same process
Can you do a video showing how to calculate ratios of paint mixing at some point? hang on wife said she is leaving cos im watching your videos again...lol
Yes i will
Faz um vídeo fazendo a tinta e catálise dela e verniz
Make a video making the paint and catalysis of it and the varnish. Brazil.
Ok
It would be brilliant if you could make a detailed video for when a rear arch body line is all full of low and high spots. Filler work, primer, how to recreate the arch line etc. 👌
I'll bear that one in mind 👍🏼

PS I WATCHED SO MANY VIDEOS LAST NIGHT IT WAS AWESOME MISSISSIPPI MIKE
What pressure and mixture settings are you using on the Pro lite? Just got the same gun and setup, would be interesting to k ow. Currently using a 1.2 TE05 SRI PRO LITE. Too small for larger jobs?
I usually have the pressure pretty high. Dials are fully out. Maybe I would change this if I was inside but it works for me outside in the outdoor environment. My pro lite is the 1.3 and does small to medium jobs pretty easily and bigger jobs also. A 1.2 might struggle
Hello, can i ask you, what u use for wipe after sanding primer? thanks
panel wipe
Great work 👏. What primer do you use?
I use a 1k primer and 2k primers
@@cvrpov thanks, is it high build? Brand? Many thanks, nice channel
Ditto the previous comments. Love the longer vids. Just as a matter of interest how long do you leave the infra red lights on for. Is there some temperature which cannot be exceeded or is it all a bit of trial and error? Is there a point at which the paint burns? Thanks just curious and thinking of investing in some 👍
I have a temperature sensor that you point at the panel and reads the heat that is projecting from the panel. Usually from 50-75 degrees is a suitable dryiny temperature, 60 is optimum. Each lacquer has different requirements but mine is around 15mins at 60.00 in each section.
CVR POV That’s great info and thank you. Looking forward to the next vid already 👍
Could you recomend a good polishing pad
I use any orange stiff pads really. Don't worry too much about brands etc
@@cvrpov thanks
Hi any reason you used 800 dry soft pad, as you usually use 600 grit wet and dry after primer? Thanks
If its just for minor feathering then 800 soft works pretty well
@@cvrpov Thanks for your answer....that's what i do to....
@@mreightytwenty8709 👍🏼👍🏼
Hi mate, what PSI at the gun for base and gloss?
I spray at about 2 bar for base and 2.5-3 for lacquer
CVR POV, what kind of portable compressor should i get? and gun recommendation? i dont know what to get
nvrmnd you got all the links!
Abac 90 litre is what I used
👍🏻
Which paint system do you use and where do you go to get your tinters?
Debeer solvent from the local paint factors near me
@@cvrpov Why do you use solvent-based paint and not water?
What would you suggest if the color code of the car doesn’t match the actual touch up paint?
Not sure why that would happen
how are you liking the zv-1 camera?
Really like it. I've got a bit lazy using my phone but i want to get back on the proper camera now I have a new computer for editing
did you spray the entire bumper with base coat or just the primed areas?
Just the primed area and then a bit further to blend the white base in
Did you flat it down with P2000 or P1500 prior to polishing
1500 wet and dry paper followed by 2000 abralon wet foam discs on the orbital sander
@@cvrpov thank you
Can you do a video on how to mix paint please
How much do you charge for something like this and what areas do you cover?
Prices vary mate and not taking bookings currently but I cover Derbyshire areas
What laquer do you use ?
Diamond clear from express paints
CVR POV cheers bud drying times and gloss levels ok ?
10-15 mins drying and yes holds up well
Top dog
Cheers pal
Definitely another amazing work but it's nearly impossible to keep these professional equipments at home as I'm not a car painting professional. Compressor, paint gun, liquid paint, clear lacquer, sandpapers, nylon bag to cover a car, heating lights and etc :) I guess, most of amateurs can only fix minor scratches. In my opinion, Body painting needs these equipments and too much experience.
It was a beginners guide to car spraying as in beginner to the industry
Hi! How much it is work?
Prices vary 👍🏼
Did you use 1k or 2k paint?
2k
Nice vid, but i must of misplaced my van with all the pro gear in it. 😏
The process is the same though..just use aerosol
Great video, but a shame you didnt include the POV of the polishing stage :(
I have done other vids on this
Why u haven’t aplied body filler?
It didn't need any on this occasion
on the drive way? not allowed in EU.
This is uk
@@cvrpov Thank God.
I got a feeling u can't just go out and do this it's needs practice on loads of cars first
Gotta start somewhere!
That’s safe to say with anything
arent you afraid of overspray over your truck?
Part and parcel of the job is the van becoming a cheese grater
You need a mask all the time buddy I guess if you want to look after your respiratory lol, loving the videos, others need to know not try this at home.
Its only when I'm recording im not wearing one. Peoples health and safety is their own responsibility and always read the tds sheets and ppe.
