Thanks for the video. I have been running 275/65/20 (34.2”) Toyo Open Country RT Trails on my D-90 for some time. A little trimming on the front bumper, (roughly an 1”) and no trimming on the rear. Had to remove an aluminum bracket and plate behind the fender liner to resolve some minor rubbing. I was able to keep my classic mudflaps in place by trimming them a little. I did not have to relocate the radiators but did have to trim the bracket they are in. The fit is close on full compression so may relocate radiators later due that. It took me forever to figure out the geometry on the wheel and tire set up to get the perfect fit. I have 2012 RR Sport wheels 9” wide, not sure on the offset. Put tire on trim a little, rinse and repeat until satisfied. End result looks stock and quite aggressive.
For those wondering I used 1.5” lift rods, 25mm Spacer(will vary depending on wheel selection), 20” x 9” wheel, 275/65/20 Toyo RT Trails. Trim a little at a time and take your time. Don’t cut more than you need too and the fender liner can be manipulated with a little heat, and repositioned with a few new holes to look stock.

Thank you very much for that reply. I completely agree with your method: put the tire on, mark the bumper, take the tire off, trim the bumper, put the tire back on, and repeat until it's perfect. It takes a while, but that's the best way I've found to do it.

Whoever ran those tires at the end sure got their money's worth out of them.

Absolutely! You can now measure the remaining life of that tire in feet, no longer in miles.

The best way to install any wheel spacer is to carefully unpack them, throw them in the rubbish and buy rims with the correct offset.

As someone with actual experience across multiple Land Rover products, wanting to run wider 12.5-inch tires, finding the proper offset rim in a Land Rover bolt pattern is nearly impossible. Some models require an offset wheel and wheel spacers to run wider tires. I had to do this on my classic Defender and Discovery models (1 and 2) to keep them off the front radius arm. The same was necessary for the Discovery 3 and 4 due to interference with the upper control arm. The Discovery 5 didn't require spacers but did need an offset wheel.
On the next-generation Defender, a proper offset wheel allows for wider tires.
Making a custom wheel for a $3,000 off-roader like a Disco 3 (LR3) seems impractical. I'll happily use wheel spacers unless you can point me in the direction of a custom set of wheels for $240.

If one were calculating the fitment of this comment to the same rubbish bin, the your offset is perfect. At least the click and view counts for something positive.
