Just one example if your curious. I once had to pay a fine and my car was declared unsafe because I replaced my old front tires with new ones, same size, different brand. But in my vehicle documents the police could only find the manufacturer of the old tire. So I had to pay the fine and I had to get new TÜV which was around 200€… for replacing my tire. (For reference: it was a „Heavy“ modified Mercedes 190E and when you change something on your car you have to get TÜV. That means a trained person checks your car and decides if your car is allowed on the road or not. If they decide your car is not „safe“, your car is basically illegal to drive and you wasted a hole bunch of money.)
3:43 You're doing it wrong. The bolts that come in the package don't go where you show in the video. They go in the bigger hole of the hub, the non-threaded one, and they screw into the hub of the car, securing the spacer to the wheel hub. The existing bolts of the car go into the threaded holes of the spacer. So the spacer bolts to the car (the bigger holes and the bolts in the package) and the rim bolts to the spacer (the threaded holes and the original bolts).
Spacers are fine. Even super. Cheapo buuut if you dont install them correclty they can fail easy. Buddy towed waaay pver legal weight with 3in spacers and 16 wides no issues. But it does mess up your steering geometry
So I hate spacers "right out the get go" make that be incorrect...🤔 Edit: I could see how you would need some space for your wheels to fit over the brake calipers... The hub centric that truly goes so far...
@@804MRMAN you know what your right the brake rotor is not what the spacer is for, you would ultimately need to clear the caliper first... Good Job 👏🏽 I will change that now

As a German that likes to modify his own cars I can confirm. Germany is fu**ing strict when it comes to modifying cars.

TLDR: it’s easier to buy, take and sell dr*gs than modifying your Car in Germany😂🥲
I bet they would be strict especially when they allow everyday people to be race car drivers on the autobahn
The good ol you get what you pay for

can spacers negatively affect scrub radius???
It can, yes. Albeit small spacers are very rare to ever notice.

I thought that must be the case.

You mean to clear a brake caliper
@@804MRMAN yeah same thing if you clear the brake caliper you clear the brake rotor
@@KSwapTheWorld69 Not the same lol. But you got it champ

@@KSwapTheWorld69 Lol. Yeah I figured eventually you would get it.
