Edit: not saying that we can tell if Meredith is telling the truth, but after Jeremy’s rehearsed performance in that scene, we should take what he says with a WAGON of salt

I'm not saying I like this guy or believe him; however, this lady releasing these 5 minute videos with huge gaps in time is very suspicious.... I think she's just using this for 5 minutes of fame. I have zero doubt her story is true… he said he was a “crazy” 24 year old, she was cheating, he had a bunch of guns, they were seized in the incident. He never once denied holding her at gunpoint. Just says he was never held at gunpoint which is weird cause nobody said ya were…

@@DarkChiiTheme I went through a DV situation and you can’t find any reports or even the docket for the case. But I do have all the physical copies of the reports, so I do think it is possible to have them sealed.

Or if you lost something or something been stolen they’ll ask if you like to file report because then it’s entirely your choice but when it comes to cops being called to situation such as a domestic violence case such as a gun being pulled on someone they always file a report. Even if it’s something as simple as a screaming match at 5am cops get called they gotta file a report simply saying date / time and what happen . And plus any case where you have cops called to your house there’s also a dispatch report with the address person that called and situation going down usually file by dispatcher.

Hearing this, it's clear the show isn't doing a good investigation on their contestants. Cause a 9-1-1 call for a pew pew should have disqualified him. I feel he is lying I was in a DV situation and there is never a report unless something is happening such as an arrest. Anytime cops have come out to settle a dispute- they have never made a report. The only time there’s ever been a report was when they took my ex to jail.
So if he did pull a gun out on her which would be aggravated assault with a deadly weapon he would have gotten arrested and a report would have been made but there is no report so it didn’t happen

If she didn’t press charges- there would be no public records of this. And no the courthouse doesn’t keep records of that otherwise when I filed a restraining order on my ex- they would have had everything on file without me having to prove every incident. I called the cops on SEVERAL occasions but never pressed charges for anything. I’m not going back and forth with someone who has never been in a DV situation and doesn’t know the lengths you have to go through to prove you need to be protected from a person. Just cause there is no “public report” doesn’t mean it didn’t happen.

As someone who lives in the carolinas.... I will say if the police do not actually witness it, the victim doesn't have to press charges. They can however press charges then drop them as well. Fear can make you do things, like not press charges, continue working together, or reaching out due to therapy. I just wonder if he's holding money or something with business over her head to make her feel like she has to.

Honestly having been in a similar situation in the past, being in contact afterwards doesn’t mean it didn’t happen. During his response video it did sound like I was listening to my ex, the way he started off by talking about how he is a “fun light hearted person” and the way he was condescending about things she said, the way he generalized his reasoning even though he had no proof of it “not happening” And people like that can be manipulative and gas light to get you back in contact. It’s not uncommon as you said QueenE. And her going out doesn’t justify the accusations. Even cheating doesn’t justify your life being threatened. And correct, absence of a police report doesn’t mean it didn’t happen. Not all counties handle these domestic instances the same way, if he is licensed to possess and carry a firearm and without seeing evidence or witnessing a violent act, they may not file a report or file charges and I’ll leave it at that.
I dont think it was easy for her to do at all. You can see how stressed she gets in some part. I don't put any weight into how people express their traumas. I get the labeling of it, but its just a saying. It's information.

People don’t understand when it comes to DV the emotional toll it takes on people but also the connection you have with your perpetrator. It’s not easy to leave when something happens to you as people say. It’s a form of Stockholm syndrome that comes out of it. Where you make excuses for them and most of the time you’ve already fell in love. You think it only happen that one time and never again. Also you might fear for your life and can’t leave. As a survivor, it’s not easy and people who are on the outside can’t truly compute the mental toll it takes on someone in that situation where they decide to stay. I would suggest to do research and not truly judge her for staying.
I believe her not because I always believe in such stories (because I am not), but because I perceive her as truthful. She speaks directly, does not circle around the topic, does not provide unnecessary details, does not dramatize.

Yeah, even if one person is telling the truth for the most part, it's usually not the actual truth as human perspectives are just that, perspectives. People actually can believe they are being 100% truthful and then be shown details they forgot or blurred out in their memory system as unimportant. There is a difference between innocently altered "self perception" and lying tho. Liars just straight up lie to color the story in the best light for them...other people just forget details they don't find important (which is normal), so it's usually about who's story aligns with the verifiable facts the most.
Meredith started the video by saying "...spill some serious tea on..." and that honestly put me off right away. DV is not "tea". On the other hand, don't know who to believe cause neither of them have actual evidence, though they both did confirm the police were called but if he was cuffed, a report would have been filed...and timing the last bit with the last episode drop...why? Don't police have to write a report the moment they draw a weapon? Don't know the rules in the US, but in the UK any amount of force has to be reported.
It depends on the state and department as to whether or not they have the duty to inform if they draw their weapon. if the suspect wasn’t arrested or if they never had to fire the weapon/ use physical force then depending on the laws and department then no they wouldn’t have. They could’ve had the guns out to check the scene due to the situation, found him not to be a threat with no weapons on his body and retracted their guns with no incident and wasn’t arrested which is why there’s no report on him

I don’t think police reports are public unless she shared a copy of it. Only if she pressed charges then that will definitely be public.

Or if you lost something or something been stolen they’ll ask if you like to file report because then it’s entirely your choice but when it comes to cops being called to situation such as a domestic violence case such as a gun being pulled on someone they always file a report. Even if it’s something as simple as a screaming match at 5am cops get called they gotta file a report simply saying date / time and what happen . And plus any case where you have cops called to your house there’s also a dispatch report with the address person that called and situation going down usually file by dispatcher.

Anytime cops have come out to settle a dispute- they have never made a report.
The only time there’s ever been a report was when they took my ex to jail.
So if he did pull a gun out on her which would be aggravated assault with a deadly weapon he would have gotten arrested and a report would have been made but there is no report so it didn’t happen

As someone who lives in the carolinas.... I will say if the police do not actually witness it, the victim doesn't have to press charges. They can however press charges then drop them as well. Fear can make you do things, like not press charges, continue working together, or reaching out due to therapy. Honestly having been in a similar situation in the past, being in contact afterwards doesn’t mean it didn’t happen. During his response video it did sound like I was listening to my ex, the way he started off by talking about how he is a “fun light hearted person” and the way he was condescending about things she said, the way he generalized his reasoning even though he had no proof of it “not happening” And people like that can be manipulative and gas light to get you back in contact. It’s not uncommon as you said QueenE. And her going out doesn’t justify the accusations. Even cheating doesn’t justify your life being threatened. And correct, absence of a police report doesn’t mean it didn’t happen. Not all counties handle these domestic instances the same way, if he is licensed to possess and carry a firearm and without seeing evidence or witnessing a violent act, they may not file a report or file charges and I’ll leave it at that.

People don’t understand when it comes to DV the emotional toll it takes on people but also the connection you have with your perpetrator. It’s not easy to leave when something happens to you as people say. It’s a form of Stockholm syndrome that comes out of it. Where you make excuses for them and most of the time you’ve already fell in love. You think it only happen that one time and never again. Also you might fear for your life and can’t leave.
As a survivor, it’s not easy and people who are on the outside can’t truly compute the mental toll it takes on someone in that situation where they decide to stay. I would suggest to do research and not truly judge her for staying.
I believe her not because I always believe in such stories (because I am not), but because I perceive her as truthful. She speaks directly, does not circle around the topic, does not provide unnecessary details, does not dramatize.

Yeah, even if one person is telling the truth for the most part, it's usually not the actual truth as human perspectives are just that, perspectives. People actually can believe they are being 100% truthful and then be shown details they forgot or blurred out in their memory system as unimportant. There is a difference between innocently altered "self perception" and lying tho. Liars just straight up lie to color the story in the best light for them...other people just forget details they don't find important (which is normal), so it's usually about who's story aligns with the verifiable facts the most.
Meredith started the video by saying "...spill some serious tea on..." and that honestly put me off right away. DV is not "tea". On the other hand, don't know who to believe cause neither of them have actual evidence, though they both did confirm the police were called but if he was cuffed, a report would have been filed...and timing the last bit with the last episode drop...why?

Don't police have to write a report the moment they draw a weapon? Don't know the rules in the US, but in the UK any amount of force has to be reported.
It depends on the state and department as to whether or not they have the duty to inform if they draw their weapon. if the suspect wasn’t arrested or if they never had to fire the weapon/ use physical force then depending on the laws and department then no they wouldn’t have. They could’ve had the guns out to check the scene due to the situation, found him not to be a threat with no weapons on his body and retracted their guns with no incident and wasn’t arrested which is why there’s no report on him

Anytime police are called, they have to write a report.
There's must be a report if his weapons were seized even if he volunteered it. I can't see there not be one for something like that. I feel like it leaves too room for liabilities

I suspect the truth lies somewhere in the middle of these 2 stories. Interesting to see if Shmeramy and Sarah Ann have been dating and what she thinks of all of this! Clearly it won’t be addressed at the reunion as it was filmed before this story broke (I think?)
