Buying 10,000 Bananas For Kids in Bangladesh

- Today we're buying 10,000 Bananas...
We've been travelling in Bangladesh for a week, cooking up one of the most interesting projects yet. While searching for Dhaka street food, we came across Karwan Bazaar, a large market in Dhaka with just about everything, Including a whole lot of Bananas.
In Bangladesh over 6 million kids wake up hungry, so we all came together to make a travel vlog with a purpose: raise enough money to buy 10,000 bananas for hungry kids in Bangladesh. To make this happen, I opened a GoFundMe, and reached out to Thrive, a local NGO specializing in delivering food to schools. We raised enough money for 18,800 bananas and this video is about delivering a few thousand of them to schools.
So, to address a few things here in the description. In total, we raised about 1,600 USD (including my personal donation to purchase bananas on the shoot day) They are about 3 cents per banana without shipping and delivery. For this video, we factored that in to our final sum. The shelf life of Bananas is only a few days, so we bought about 10,000 on that day, and the rest will be purchased later in the week so nothing gets spoiled. Cool? Cool!

Normally, I don't like to watch videos about giving money away, or about buying things for people, because they are made just to get people to watch, so they can make money to benefit for their own personal well being, but this guy is really humble, and makes more videos about learning different cultures, and respecting, and appreciating them.

Wow! That was amazing and heartwarming. Reminds me of my late Mom (Renee Donnelly 5-23-58 - 3-25-2020, stage 4 glioblastoma) who spent the last 12 years of her life taking her vacation time each year flying to Honduras at her own expense to volunteer on medical mission. In fact the last time she went, she had already been diagnosed and knew that she had less than 1 percent chance to survive, but that didnt stop her from going one last time. I have really been enjoying watching your videos, my favorites are the ones where you immerse yourself into indigenous cultures and live a day or few with tribes (I would have married the Himba woman myself, lol)or in villages, as well as when you eat local interesting foods. The adventure ones are great as well. The one in Louisiana was cool as well, I live in Arkansas, so it was close to home. Anyways, thank you for your videos and contributions to humanity.
