@@chef5590 what about the RSR? Which one do you think looked better? My all time favorite will be the 991.2 RSR and GT3R. The 992 GT3R is absolutely gorgeous as well. There isn’t a 911 that I’m not obsessed with, but that 991.2 was just something special!!!!
I went to WEC in Interlagos and this was by far my biggest disappointment, it's completely muted, not sure what they did to it, but I swear it sounds like an electric is passing by. So if you're going to any other WEC races this year expecting to hear this sound, sorry, but you won't...
The WEC/Le Mans version runs a triple silencer (like at NLS/Nurburgring 24h) - but for no reason. Bizarre decision by Manthey. The cars in this video are using a single silencer, as is normal in SRO and IMSA.
When it features as the LMGT3 Classes at the FIA World Endurance Championship from 2025 season and equipped with 4.0L N/A Boxer-6 during the Fanatec GT World Challenge Europe at Nürburgring (The Old Grand Prix racetrack returns once again) and with some Test Days to prepare to go racing at the 6 Hours of Spa by TotalEnergies (last year in May of 2018, when it begins from both of seasons yesterday between the 2020 and 2022 seasons, but the rain starts to fall off before the Green Flag flies it out at the Belgian Grand Prix only in Formula 1 history)
For people wondering why the WEC version of the GT3R sounds so much worse, the NLS, ELMS and WEC spec of the 911 run a triple muffler. This is due to the sound restrictions in these series. in every other series such as IMSA, GTWC and more, the GT3R runs a more standard single muffler which makes the car louder. so if you're wondering why Manthey would muffle their cars, they have no other choice.
@@rafaywasayshafay3655 the only that entrigues me is that there's other cars, like the Huracan and the Corvette that are much louder and I imagine are not using those mufflers. So why is Porsche using them? If it's a regulation imposed by WEC, shouldn't every car have similar mufflers?
@@fga00090 maybe the mufflers used by Porsche are stronger. Because I know for a fact that there is a 95db limit for racecars in the WEC. If Manthey can run louder exhausts, I don't know why they aren't.
@@rafaywasayshafay3655 I really don't get in then, because when I went to WEC, the Cadillac, Huracan and the C8R are by far the loudest cars and the 911 sounded like an electric passing by, the difference is astounding. Thanks for the info though, didn't know about the 95db limit
The 2017 Spec RSR was unrestricted. Newer RSR were restriceted but I don't know how many dB (still sounds great). GT3R is always restricted. SRO, DTM,ELMS etc 120 dB. Nordschleife, current WEC 911s are running within the 95dB limit.

The frustration of fans outside of North America is so obvious - WHY on earth would you use such an effective silencer to practically mute this beautiful car!? I went to the British GT at Silverstone earlier this year and I swear you could hear the 1.4L V4 Formula 4's better than the 992's and it was abysmal considering there were N/A V6's in the pair of Lotus Emira's and they sounded heavenly! Idk whether it's series or team regulated, but Porsche need to dispute that nonsense and give the fans what they want!
I went to interlagos last month(wec) and the porsche 992 was the WORST sounding car! i cant understand why it's so different on this video, sounded so muffled and weak
in WEC the car has the biggest mufflers, so it doesn't make any sound. Nobody knows why. In this video the car is running with standard mufflers, like in every other NA and Europe event

I love Rutronik. So glad they entered into GT world challenge.
I absolutely love the 992, but it’s just not the same as the 991.2 RSR. That sound will go down in history as Porsche’s greatest song!
To me the best looking GT3R ever

Sounds good though but the 991.2 RSR just hits different
Crazy how much hp they can get out of a NA flat 6
Nothing crazy. 134 hp per liter. But pretty good, tbh.
The sound is always great of these Porsche in the video, but in Le Mans or Nurb they sound like vacuum and didn't sound great than the RSR, why 💀
cuz they rsr had the exhaust restrictions removed im pretty sure so it was full volume
silenced exhaust in WEC and nordschleife 😒

@Goodwood2010 I know. What I heard ... from 2026 WEC could've a 100 dB limit. But why do they want to fit now ... idk
👍👍👌
Geralmente os GT3 tem 500 hp, já esse Porsche tem 565?
