I usually just fish for smallmouth but when winter comes I fish for largemouth and I don't even know why just figured smallmouth don't really bite much then but being dumb I forgot they do need to eat like all other fish.

If you had a better rod you would of liked ice fishing more. There’s a lot of sensitive rods out there that makes a big difference
