Thank you for Talking in a video 1st of all, 2nd Leo is so darn cute and protective and 3rd you go thru all the steps of tent set up for those of us that camp in Summer but are new to winter camping in case of emergencies. Thanks again you are so calm, gives me peace. God Bless
I REALLY like your video you was not afraid to talk on camera. You let us know what you are doing and I Myself REALLY LIKE THAT. YOU DID A AWESOME JOB, KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK. DOUG
What a beautiful spot you chose to setup camp, ❄ your pup 🐕 is so funny I know he was picking up sticks to play with but he would be a very good helper collecting wood for you.. You surely know how to take care of yourself and well equipped with everything , you should have more subscribers. You and Leo stay safe and warm out there ❤🐕🕊🙏
It's been a different kind of winter this year. Last week almost of the snow was melted with the rain we had. I hope to get a little more snow yet. Still have lots of hot tent trips planned.
Oh man, nice camping spot right there.we enjoy it better than you actually. Thank you for sharing with us.good luck to go forward and bring some nice videos to us like this.
A beautiful location. I enjoyed your narration of the tasks you are about to do. It's great how Leo wants to play all the time. I wondered why the bed was placed so near the entrance door of the tent, rather than further inside the tent, like the other side of the wood stove where it might be warmer? Thank 🙏you for sharing.
Leo likes being by the door incase I step outside so he can be ready to play at any moment lol It might be hard to tell in the video but he was actually closer to the stove on his side of the tent then I was during the night.
I see the auger and saw battery pack handled its tasks with ease and im sold on the pomoly equipment. I have high baffin boots over 20 years old and still in good shape but replaced the liners. And it wont go without saying you have a faithfull playfull companion there. Its always so enjoyable seeing your vids and find myself wondering when the next one drops. :)
You: clear ground. Dog: play stick. You: set up tent. Dog: play stick. You: guy out tent. Dog: play stick. You: collect firewood. Dog: play ball. Leo is pretty single-minded.
I’m glad I stumbled across your channel. FINALLY someone who has some sense when tent camping! Everyone else has these bow saws and I’ve been looking at my screen thinking why not have a small battery chain saw? There is roughing it, then there is working smarter, not harder! The battery ice auger was smart too. Oh, I subscribed too.
I have a shepherd and a malinois my shepherd is just like yours with the chuck it ball he’s absolutely obsessed lol i love my hot tent camping!! awesome videos brother love from ottawa👍🏼🍻
@@Live2dayWanderlandi believe it! Lol Max my mali is a jumper and we use this one toy he loves to jump and tug with its crazy difference with the 2. Does lulu sleep right beside/between your spouse like our mali? Lol
Hello! We saw your first video on Thursday! You're just a hop, skip and a jump over Lake Michigan! We love your easy and peaceful demeaner. Don't change anything! It's just right! Your pup is so cute! Especially when to talk to him! He's good at timing that ball rolling into the camera view! Thank you for the good tips on winter camping! Yes! we did subscribe!😊😊
The lower you cut on the stump the more moisture content in the wood especially if it's pine. Hardwood you can usually cut a lot lower to the ground before moisture becomes an issue.
Just subscribed Seth. Can't beat being out ice fishing with the dog! Leo is a ball obsessed as my hound! In fact, weve the same ball and thrower as you guys! You can get some distance with those balls too! Great video, cheers from the UK
Coulda made a big fire and spread the coals around to get rid of moisture off the ground... then rake it off clean.... if you have time and the weather is nice
Nice spot when your planning to fish , your right in the middle of the action . Have you tried using your axe as a lever to take out the stakes from the frozen ground ? Put a piece of rope from your axe handle to the stake and pull it in the same direction . Leo really has a love relation with his ball , even falling asleep with it in his mouth 😅 . What kind of gear are you using to drill throught the ice , it seems very effective ? Thanks as always for the video , love watching them
I have not tried the axe handle as a lever. That sounds like a good idea. I will have to try it out next time I have issues. I tried putting a stake through the loop but just ripped the paracord when I pulled hard. Those aluminum stakes are nice but they definitely don't handle abuse very well. The auger I was using is a 7.5 inch Kdrill with a Milwaukee hammer drill. It works really good and is very light.
Fantastic, Sort of a Mr.Rogers goes camping. I love that you use the electric chainsaw, I mean, the technology is there, right? But the biggest thing that impressed me was that as a carpenter for 40 years I can count on one hand the number of times I've seen someone use a hammer correctly, ya nailed it, let the hammer do the work (or axe).
Well done young dude. I really like those hot tents a lot and your stove was a beauty. Leo is a gorgeous happy dog. Nice job fishing for the crappies. Happy camping to you and Leo ! From Oregon. Can you tell me please what model Pomoloy stove you were using ??
If you camp out alot. I advice you to get a tracking box for your dogs collar. If he would see a animal. He could be gone. That way you can track him. You will now where he is.
Thank you! I would need more info on how you would use the tent. Are you looking for something lightweight to hike in with or something for car camping?
Would it be a good idea to put your sled underneath the tree your cutting to gather the sawdust to use as kindling?? I mean why waste it?? Great video!
I have used the saw dust before as a tinder material when using a ferro rod to start a fire. With the design of this stove bottom I would loose most of the saw dust into the ash pan before it would burn. It would maybe work with a closed flat bottom stove.
Awesome video. Beautiful island and really nice camp setup ! I seen a link for the sled in the description but not the tent. May I ask what hot text you are using? Thanks and look forward to you guys next video. :)
What kind of stainless steel camping cookware are you using? Looks like a nice size for making meals vs. The mini backpack cookware. Nice video, thanks for sharing.
Does it get cold in your tent as I noticed the tent has a big gap at ground level, if wind & rain gets up during the night when you are fast asleep you are likely to wake up to a soaking?
The ground on this island wasn't very level causing some of the gaps you saw. I usually put snow along the skirt of the tent to keep the edges sealed up but we don't have much snow this year. It's nice to have a little ventilation to keep the condensation down too.
All the wood I use is dead and I do not cut any live trees for firewood. Wood that's been laying on the forest floor contains too much moisture to burn efficiently.
Most underrated camping dude in RUclips.
Appreciate that
Leo loves his ball. I love that he tries to put it in every shot.

Great adventure plus a nice little island to camp on and fish from. Life couldn't get much better than this.
Great hot tent video my friend, really nice and peaceful out there. Crazy how little snow we all have, but at least there is something.

Throw the ball. Please, please, throw the ball. Look, here's my ball!! Throw it!!

I was saying the same thing!!! LOL!! Just throw the ball dad!!!!!
Enjoy watching you and Leo.... keep up the good work

Agreed! We were totally distracted by Leo's play perseverance 😄
I have that same Milwaukee saw. They are awesome. I keep mine on my UTV to clear my trails on my farm! Also thats a very handsome dog!!!
It works really good for how small it is. Do you have the larger chainsaw too?
@@S.W.OUTDOORS No dont have the bigger electric saw. I have 2 Stihl gas saws. One medium sized and on large logging saw.
i like relaxing camping video and dog video, and you have both of it
looking forward to your channel

Another amazing video in a great location...im kind of surprised you dont have the ground sheet for the hussar plus
I was going to get it when I got the tent, but it was out of stock. I should probably get one. I like having a floor most of the time.

I had a sable shepherd that was high drive also. Hes a handsome boy!
Great video, but I can't understand why people leave the stump so high. There is a lot of fire wood in the stump
