Pro-Tip: Don‘t record two separate videos, just record one and edit it later, so you won‘t have any issues regarding color-correction or scaling up one clip

Right when I click Green/Blue screen my screen of the second video becomes a different color so then when i do it half half theres a huge color difference.
try moving to a different frame in the video and try again, sometimes this changes the color a bit. If that doesn't work try using the color tools to match the colors/brightness of the clips as best as you can
Use the eraser tool and go around the whole scene, the issue is there is something being detected as a blue/green screen.

you could also lock exposure values and color temp if you have a camera or an app that can do that because the camera tries to adjust for what it thinks is the right "view." I use Filmic pro which allows you to do those things but you could also change color temp and exposure in post.

sorry for the extra late reply.. if you haven't figured it out yet, try making sure that the primary clip is on the bottom, and the other is the overlay.. hopefully this helps

Hi Angus, great tutorial. Attempted a cloning video which worked sort of ok, but I have a problem with transparency on the clip using the blue/green screen? I have tried various lighting (*indoors and outdoors) also varies backgrounds and different clothing. I assume it is a colour synch problem of some sort? Any advice would be great! 😎
Dave Johnston If you mean a clone is semi-transparent try playing around with the Clean-up tools, its the eraser icon. I had the problem and clicked around for a bit and it was working
@@KadukuTena Thanks LFK Kaduku. Yes, the "clone" clip is sometimes transparent....I have tried in few different locations, lighting and clothing. When all 3 of these are right the video is good. Will try with the Clean Up tools as well. Thanks for the reply 😎

Hello Nice instruction and I come a long way but I have a problem with the two time lines: transistions don't work on the upper time line. I like to fade to black in the end of the movie, but that doesn't workj for both time lines.

I just tried this and although it worked, 1 of the videos is off colour. It's fine until you select the green screen part and then it all goes a bit off.
So, is it waaaay harder to clone yourself 2X (3 characters on screen at once) and have them all interact with each other?

this has helped me a lot thank you! but for some reason the person on the video that goes “on top” gets transparent... am I doing something wrong?
You said you touched the video between takes and moved the camera a little: you can film all the scenes in one, long take (using a clock for cues during filming) and then import the whole file into iMovie two times and cut each clip to the right components separately.

Beautifully explained/thank you. I am finding the trickiest part is LIGHTING. My primary lighting source is natural light, which can be very changeable (and made worse by the camera’s response to changing light) - do you have any advice on how to manage natural light?

Hey Angus, great video to help me get started with a project. I’m a multi instrumentalist and perform all musical parts myself when recording. So I wanted to make a video of, we’ll, 3 to 5 of me! Does iiMovie allow duplicating of more then 2 clips? Thanks and rock on!
can you blend the 2 shots together so the clones can pass each other?
I wouldnt say so considering the whole second clip covers up the first one unless you use the crop lines
